How to create JmsBytesMessage in C-API

Hi,
          I am having some issues with extended (accented) characters in the body of Text Messages. I therefore need to use a different encoding (UTF-8) and use a JmsBytesMessage instead of a JmsTextMessage.
          But how do I do that using C-API (from .Net C#)?
          I would have expected to be able to do the following:
          JmsBytesMessage bytesMessage;
          retCode = JmsBytesMessage.JMSSessionBytesMessageCreate(_session, body, out bytesMessage, 0);
          _producer.JMSProducerSend(ref producerOptions, bytesMessage, 0);
          But this will not compile for 2 reasons:
          1) Unlike the similar method on the JmsTextMessage class, JmsBytesMessage.JMSSessionBytesMessageCreate is NOT STATIC and can only be called on an instance of JmsBytesMessage. (I have tried creating an instance using the "new" constructor and calling the method from there, but that doesn't work either)
          2) The method "JmsProducer.JMSProducerSend" only accepts a JmsTextMessage parameter. What do I need to use to send a JmsBytesMessage?
          Is the C-API perhaps only available for Text Messages? Or is the version I'm using not complete, and is there a full version available somewhere, with support for BytesMessages?

Hi Mat,
          There are two versions of the C-client: a dev2dev version, and a very similar fully supported version thats supplied in the WebLogic 9.0+ install. If the doc doesn't help you find the latter, you can search this newsgroup for more info.
          I don't know the answers to your other questions.
