How to create knowledge articles in CRM?

Dear All,
With the new 7.0 version being completely new to us, we have struggling with creating knowledge articles in the system. How to create a new knowledge article in the system?

Hi Leon,
You have to made the following settings for knowledge articles in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management:
     Specified which groups appear in the authorization scope under: Master Data -> Knowledge Articles 
     Defined surveys and their determination under: Master Data -> Knowledge Articles -> Questionnaires 
      The settings you make for surveys in Customizing determine the surveys that appear in the Questionnaires assignment block for knowledge articles.
     Configured the Software Agent Framework (SAF) under Enterprise Intelligence
      These settings are required to make a connection to the TREX server, which allows for faster searches.
     Specified the categories to which the knowledge article can be assigned under: CRM Cross-Application Components -> Multilevel Categorization

    You can follow chapter "3.1 Maintaining Organizational Data Profile" from best practices' building block ['C23: CRM Basic Sales'|http://help.sap.com/bp_crm70/BBLibrary/HTML/C23_EN_DE.htm]. For "Organizational Model Determin. Rule" instead of a rule 10000166 enter 10000194. It will determine org. data from current user.
    Also take a look in near settings. There you can define your own rule.

    you need to assign a MKT_PRO or other Marketing related role to your WEB UI user, then login the WEB UI, from the menu you will find marketing plan, and campaign is a kind of marketing object under it.

       Once u created a data source. go to respective application component which u have assigned ducring creatinon of DS in RSO2 and right click on it and use replicate metadata.
    a popup with options 1. as data source
                                   2. as 3.x data source will come u select 2 one here and go on.

  • How to view Knowledge Article Assignment Block in Service Confirmation

    Hi dudes,
    CRM 7.0 introduces Knowledge Articles, which can be used in Service Orders, Repairs, etc, they have an assignment block for this purpose. Unfortunately, it is not available for Service Confirmations.
    I'm not sure if it is possible to reuse the asignment block in this case. I found an interesting WIKI entry which tells how to display a z table in an assignment block. There is also information about how to assing a view to a component on building blocks config guide C04.
    So I decided to follow those indications, and try to reuse it.  It looked (apparently) easy (at least with my poor knowledge, since I'm new on this).
    From the service order (BT116H_SRVO), I wrote down the technical data of the KA assignment block:
          COMPONENT: GSDOCFLOW
          VIEW: HdrDocFlowEF
    I want to add it to the service confirmation (BT117H_SRVC). So I went to the Runtime Repository Editor:
    - Added View in ViewSet BT117H_SRVC/OVViewSet with component: GSDOCFLOW and View: HdrDocFlowEF.
    - Saved.
    I went back to the Component Structure Browser, View BT117H_SRVC/OVViewSet, Configuration tab, but the new assignment block is not available!!!
    The C04 guide creates a component usage before adding the view, which I don´t know if it is needed in this case. Checking BT116H_SRVO, there is a component usage for KA!!! but I tried to replicate it and I got to the same point.
    Maybe it is not as simple as I thought. I would really appreciate any advice on this issue
    At least, please let me know if it is feasible.

    If i am changing any screens in the pre define component it shows dump.
    So, now i need Custom component with adding of the fields.

This will tell you the overall process along with the items which are necessary to create service orders.

    In CRM, there are Lead, Opportunity, Inquiry, Quotation and Order.
    While PO is the legal document to confirm to the supplier to buy
    /purchase the goods, it should be recorded under Order document
    in SAP. But some cases where PO document need to be recorded
    separately, I would suggest you can use Quotation state in the
    document.
    Remember that for Quotation and Order have same structures.
    We can configured Quotation and Order in one transaction type.
    Or we can configure it into different transaction type and different
    number ranges.
    Some cases our client need to keep "original PO" in the system.
    In this case it is more make sense to provide two transaction
    types (one for Quotation -> PO, and another one for Order).
    So that client can save original PO at quotation document and
    use it to create follow up Order document.

    hi, it looks the crm pricing configuration doesn't suitable to the order data you inbounding.
    You can try to input a order according to your inbound data in SAP GUI or WEB UI order screen,  to check if the same error will also appear like IDOC inbound.  If so, then the configuration is in problem.  
    You can check the pricing related configure,  like pricing procedure,  procedure assign,  pricing condition record ,types,  and IPC if it is activated or not.
    If not,  you can check the data your filled in idoc,  maybe it is a data problem.
