How to create line chart?
I want to prepaire a line chart in a report. i have 1 table. In a table have 2 fields. chart is created in these 2 field refrence how It's possible?

I found it very easy to produce a line chart in a window container using FM GFW_PRES_SHOW. In my case this produces a basic line graph with three lines across 15 time periods.
See transaction GRAL for various chart types...they're relatively easy to produce... I picked DEMO_GFW_PRES_SHOW report program from GRAL as my example for how to produce a simple line chart very quickly.

It's called an XY Graph. If you need an XY graph to behave like a chart, look at the shipping example called XY Chart.

How to create a chart with dates?

I've created a table with projects I have to deliver and the date they were delivered. I would like to create a chart from this data - however I can't figure out how to use date in the chart.
Ideally the chart would work with the date (lets say from jan 01 to april 5) on the x-axis and the project on the y-axis. And a line that goes from time A (which marks the initial part of the project) to the time B (which marks the delivery date) defined on the table.
Is it possible?

I'm ALMOST there! If you could help me with one last thing it would be amazing. I've uploaded my number project and you can downloaded it on the link bellow, if you prefer.
I managed to do the same idea chart as you have. However I would like to have two bars for every JOB (y-axis). On my table i've inputed for every job 4 values = START DATE that was scheduled / Duration period scheduled (this happens prior to the job itself // START DATE Delivered / Duration Period Delivered (this is the actual time the JOB took place). This way I can see at the end of a JOB if I worked during the period I planned.
using your example on the chart above (your reply) Could Proposal have a bar 1.0 / 4.0 - and bellow this bar have another one (with different colours) that went from 2.0 / 5.0 - for example? - the first one representing the "scheduled dates"and the second one representing what actually happened.
I managed to do the four bars but couldnt manage to have them bellow each other.

Assume we have 10 (x, y) pairs as below:
(10,10), (12,23), (47,9), (63,24), (88,100), (150,41) ,(155,166), (188,2), (198,58) and (500,200). Each (x,y) pair is a single point in the graph.
If we use Scatter chart to handle these data, the output graph is fine but not suitable for me to use.
I wish there will be a trend line between two of each independent points of Scatter graph, and obtain a graph just like the output graph as used in Line chart (line+symbol).
That is, in Line chart, the values of x-axis(with equal-width intervals) are categorical; however, my data is ordinal value or continuous value (like Time, Concentration...etc.). I wish this software has the ability to show the interaction between each points.

I want to create a line chart with data from a SQL2K table to show how much server time each application uses per day. All data is defined a character.

I want one horizontal line per application where the X-axis represents the date and the Y-axis represents the server time. I have tried all column combinations for "On Change Of" and "Show Value(s)". What confuses me is why are Count and Discount the only Summary Options for the "Show Value(s)" data?

I created a group based on date, day, then created the chart and put it in the group footer, on change of server, show sum of time, you will get a seperate chart for each day. I am not sure if this will help, or will just do. Since you have CR XI, you may want to look at the gauge chart also....

Create line chart in SAP

Hi experts:
I got a problem while using graphic function (GRAPH_MATRIX_3D) to create chart, but I find the function can only create column(bar) chart and the maximal column is 6. As per the customer's request, they want to view the chart in line chart and the column number should be more than 6.
Can you please advise is there any other function or way I can use to fix it? Thanks a lot!!!

You can do this using the FM GFW_PRES_SHOW

How to dispaly Line chart in output?

Hi All,
My requirement is that I want to display a line graph for 'year vs revenue' after calculation of revenue.
I tried this with the FM GRAPH_2D . It displays only bar chart initially, for getting Line chart I have to choose it manually in options after displaying it, but I want to display the line graph directly without any manual operation.
I've used the FM as below,

Create line chart/graph

Hi,
I've created a waveform chart that takes in an integer data point every seven seconds. I'd prefer it if the chart directly connected the data points to form a line chart instead of going down to zero during the seven seconds between readings. I checked around labview briefly but couldnt find any line charts. Is there a setting I can chanhe of a type of chart i should use to get a basic line graph?

The default chart is a 'line chart'. Right click on the plot legend and look at the interpolation. Unless you changed the Fill Base Line option, the chart will not drop to zero unless you are passing it a zero value.

Well, I would draw it myself. I think that's your only option. If you are not familiar with MIDP, then you should start with a beginner tutorial - it will not have anything to do with graphics, but more importantly it will introduce you to the programming model. You'll need the experience when you grapple with graphics. Not a big deal, but I haven't seen any samples for it, so you'll have to work off of the API docs. A nice page with sample programs:

If you are familiar with MIDP programming, or when you are, then hop over to the API and you'll find what you need there. Some simple math and some custom graphic routines/classes and you'll be well on your way. Here's the API location for the graphics class in the MIDP API:

How to make line chart start at y-axis?

How do you make the series on a line chart start at the y-axis? I tried adding a data point for y(x=0), but the Xcelsius graph drops it and starts with y(x=1). How do I fix that? This is especially important for series that need to start at zero.
