How to create new 10gR2 database w/o AWR installed.

Due to Partitioning licensing restrictions, I do not
wish to create new databases with AWR installed but
am not able to find a way to turn off EM AWR. Those
WRH$_% tables are created as partitioned.
As is logminer tables.
Advice is appreciated.internal use (by Oracle) of partitioning is license free. you have to license partitioning if you use it for your data.

groupadd dba << i think this group already created!
useradd -g dba -d /home/applmgr applmgr << for apps node
useradd -g dba -d /home/oramgr oramgr << for db node
As you notice we define 2 different user under /home path!

How to create new storage group and mailbox database on exchange 2007 CCR

Hi, Our Environment:
Exchange 2007 SP3 CCR.
Now I want to create a new storage group with edb file and log files on the new drive.
My plan is as below:
Once we have new drive ready on both active node and passive node,
1): Create new storage group with log files for this new storage group on other new drive from Active Node.
2): Create new mailbox database under this newly created storage group with the DB file on the new drive from active node.
My question is:
1): Do I need to perform above steps from active node only? or Do I need to do it from both active node and passive node?
2): How many storage groups can we create on one Exchange 2007 Enterprise server, we already have 25 SGs in place.

Here are my answers you can refer to:
1. We can just create new storage group on the active node. And it’ll be replicated to the passive node.
We can use the following command in EMS to verify the new Storage Group is being replicated to the passive node:
Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus "Second Storage Group" | Select SummaryCopyStatus,CCRTargetNode

again some confusion here.....
u said u need a new database in your first post and now you saying u need a new schema..
one database has many schemas(users)..... ex: scott,sys,system are few of them...
now it depends you need seperate database for test,dev environment - this is in the case u have many schemas under each database and many tables(objects) under each schema.
OR
You just need a separate schema (in same db) for test,dev environment...where in you will have multiple tables in each schema...U need to know the dba credentials of the db to create a new schema.
ideally u need to have different database...You can create one with out sys/system(oracle users) password as these passwords are db dependent.
what you need is access to the any machine where server is installed(can be the same mc where you have your dev db or a diff machine) and that will be the machine where your db will be installed (can do it through database configuration assistance),ofcourse you will need windows authentication for this.
so you login to the same machine or access it from your machine using remote login.
I hope that is clear.Hope i am not listing things that you already know..Just did it coz of confusion between db and schema

I'm not sure what you mean with "database". Do you mean an Oracle instance or an Oracle user/schema (probably the latter, because that's the equivalent to a MS SQL Database).
Creating an instance is definitely not possible from within Java. To create a new user this should be possible, as this can be done with SQL:
GRANT connect,resource TO <newuser> IDENTIFIED BY <password>;
I'm always cautious with questions like this. In 90% of the cases there is something wrong with the initial design. Creating a database shouldn't be something the application is doing.

ROLLID is given from another table whis is (ROLES). i making tree by the combinations of id , pid, & roll id. by the roll id i can manage the tree to do not display specific nodes to specific users.

How to create a BAM database in enterprise version

Hi,
I need to configure and create a BAM database for my client in an AL Process Interaction installation. I tried to follow the documentation to create the BAM schema, but was not successful. It threw me a message telling me the Driver was not found. I did not see any documentation how to register a driver in the Process Administrator.
Is there any specific documentation for Configuring BAM. Also I was not able to run the BAM reports in the Process Designer. Has anybody done this before?? If so any documentation of how to do that will help.

Thanks for the information. I guess in ALIP if you choose database subtype as SQL Server(Plumtree), then you dont have to install drivers.
Now I was able to create the BAM database. THen I installed the Fuegowarehouse service. When I start the servide I see the following error. But is there any config file where I can increase the maximum fetch size??

Can any one guide me how to create new client in XI.

To set up a new client, follow these steps
1) Create a client going in to the path
<b>Tools->Administration ->Administration -> Client administration -> Client maintenance</b>
or can also use TCODE <b>scc4</b>
2)Login into the client with
User: <b>DDIC</b> or <b>SAP*</b>
Password
