How to create new UI control (e.g. button) ?

Hello VC experts,
I have VC 7.0 installed and already create a model and some iviews, all worked perfectly.
Now suddenly i cannot create new UI controls in a form. The popup with the list of control types is just empty.
Very strange: it works on the TEST and PROD system, but on the DEV system the popup is empty.
What can I do ?

this happened to em a couple of times.
it just went away after i saved my model as a new model and opened it again.
sometimes it also occurs if you have a old componenet from an older support pack and you ahve recently upgraded as well.
best option is if your model is not too big , just to recreate it in the new elements

I would like to create a customized button as a master so that if I change the look of the master all other buttons will change too.
I have done this with a custom control as a "strict type def" otherwise the look will not change BUT If I do this as a strict type def I cannot change the Boolean text anymore which should be different on every button.
How can I create a master control of a button where the look will be applied to all others but not the Boolean text?

As a workaround just make it a typedef. When you want to change the look open the typedef and make it strict, make your changes, then make it non strict again. You will have to update the Boolean text again for all instances. Kind of a pain. Maybe this is something for the idea exchange.

How to create the composite control with textinput,button and grid.

I have created the application having two Textinput and three button and a DataGrid.
1. on click of first button next to "select a value" , a DataGrid will be open.
and i am using all the functionality of DataGrid.
2. now by using all of these control i have required to create single composite control.
plz help me how to create this composite control.

Right click the graph and select Create>Property Node. On the diagram, find the property node, right click it and first select Change All to Write. Right click again and if you select Properties, you will see a list of all the available properties for the graph. The properties you want are XScale.Minimum, XScale.Maximum, XScale.Increment, YScale.Minimum, YScaleMaximum, and YScale.Increment. You can grow the single property node to have as many properties that you want. Once you have all the properties created, create front panel controls and wire them to the property node. See the attached picture.

My question is , we have Set Deletion flag for BOM of some material, When we go to make Production Order. it is showing an warning message , I want to set Error message,instead of warning message . can you all plz tell me how to do it in conflig.

For OPJB, execute.
Click on 'New entries'.
Enter version as 000, application area (the first two digits of the message no, for BOM it would be CO I guess), & message no.
Press enter. Under category maintain as E i.e. error.
For SE91, execute.
In message class enter the first two digits of the message, under subobjetcs, enter the message number & clcik on 'where used list icon' in extreme left.
A dialogue box will apeear, select programme & classes. Click on right mark i.e. execute.
A list of programmes will displayed.
Select the relevant programme & clcik on change.
Change the warning into error there. Please note that you need access key & need ABAP consultant to do the same.

How to create new storage group and mailbox database on exchange 2007 CCR

Hi, Our Environment:
Exchange 2007 SP3 CCR.
Now I want to create a new storage group with edb file and log files on the new drive.
My plan is as below:
Once we have new drive ready on both active node and passive node,
1): Create new storage group with log files for this new storage group on other new drive from Active Node.
2): Create new mailbox database under this newly created storage group with the DB file on the new drive from active node.
My question is:
1): Do I need to perform above steps from active node only? or Do I need to do it from both active node and passive node?
2): How many storage groups can we create on one Exchange 2007 Enterprise server, we already have 25 SGs in place.

Here are my answers you can refer to:
1. We can just create new storage group on the active node. And it’ll be replicated to the passive node.
We can use the following command in EMS to verify the new Storage Group is being replicated to the passive node:

Sounds like you may be expecting Captivate to work
identically to Flash. Sorry my friend, it doesn't work this way.
For starters, notice that Captivate uses slides.
Each slide has its own timeline. So what you see in the timeline
area is not for the whole movie.
As you add objects (Buttons, Click Boxes, Images, Rollover
Areas, Etc.) the object is placed on the timeline and assumes what
you are referring to as a layer. You then control which object is
in front of another object by its relative position in the layer.
This is called the "Stacking Order".

I dont have much knowledge about Business HTML. Can anyone tell me how to create a table control. The requirement is to accept two fields from user and then on click of a button get these values populated on a table control. Can u pls help me out on this??
Also to create the table, I tried using SAPTemplateTableBegin()functions, but using these functions gives me an error. Is the because the standard SAP template files does not exist or what??

My first approach was the same as u said but the issue is when i try to generate a template i.e. (system generated template), the generated template uses standard TemplateLibraryDHTML.html functions like `SAP_TemplateHeader()`
`SAP_BodyContentBegin()`
`SAP_FormBegin()`
The above all is not supported in our client's ITS and so we have to manually create a table control using the step loop functions in DHTML and correspondingly FIELD-SET in ABAP.
We could successfully do this but as i mentioned in my previous message, we still have to make the table entries editable and refresh the internal table when the values in the table are changed.

I ve created txt file in notepad and saved it as dat file. tried to load that data thru Enterprise manager. used load data from User files everything went well and job was showing suceeded but dont know why that data is not showing in the table. i ve tried it now for three four times. used right table and pathe but dont know. has anybody got idea why that ll be?

I noticed name of the procedure or group of procedures for which automatic postings can be generated is NOT maintain for ST3 in OBYC (Maintain FI Configuration : Automatic Posting - Procedure). Appreciate if you could show me the path or t/code how to create new procedure for ST3 & maintain in OBYC. Thank you.

Transaction key can be created in
SPRO - MM - Purchasing - Conditions - Define Proce determination Process - Define transaction/event key
Here go for new entries and maintain the transaction key with a description.
Then go to M/08 and maintain the transaction key in the 'acct key' field for your pricing procedure and the condition type.
Also make sure to tick the 'Accruals' tickbox in M/06 for the condition type you want to post in the account key.
Now go to OBYC and maintain the G/L accounts along with the posting keys and the posting rules as explained in my previous reply.

I have done all the steps mentioned in this thread:

However, the new created OC4J instance obviously misses some libraries. If I deploy my Application to this OC4J I get an internal error: Class not found: oracle.jbo.JboException.
The same Application runs well in the "home" Instance.
What is the trick, to create a new OC4J instance, which more or less behaves the same way as the "home" instances (and especially has all the same libraries)?

I encountered this last month. I definitely agree that it is a glaring omission to not have "Create Like" functionality when instantiating new containers. Here's my notes on the manual steps required after using createinstance to create the fresh container. Not too bad. I've been deploying ADF applications to the new container with no problems after this.

The default (home) OC4J container is pre-configured for ADF 10.1.3 applications; however, when $ORACLE_HOME/bin/createinstance is used to create additional containers, these containers are not configured automatically to host ADF 10.1.3 applications.
I followed these manual steps:

To make the necessary ADF and JSF support libraries available to your deployed ADF application, the default application (that your ADF application and the majority of applications should inherit from) should explicitly import the shared library in the <orion-application> element of $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/<your container>/config/application.xml.
