How to create one time pop-up window?

I'd like to have a pop-up window called "how to use this app" show up just one time; the first time a user opens the folio to read it for instruction but then not appear again after it is closed. How could I do this? Thanks.

I have not tried the "alert-box technique" yet.
I have found code that will only display for first time visitors. How would I add an image to the below code with a link to a website?

How do I create an interactive pop-out window in inDesign CS5? I want to have a filled content frame which has image, text and a border. when the user clicks on that frame, a pop-out window frame appears slightly over the previous frame in with a drop shadow fx. Then when the user clicks the pop-out window, it closes and the original content frame appears. Attached is a screenshot for reference.

For what end product? HTML? SWF? PDF? Offset print? (I don't think so, but I might as well ask.)

How can I create a text pop up window in my Pages document? I want text to pop up when the reader hovers his/her cursor over a certain word in the document. I am teacher. So for example when a student came to word he/she did not know, if he/she hovered the cursor over the word, a defintion or other information would appear. You can do this in Word using bookmarks/hyperlinks but I can't figure this out in Pages. I can link it to another point in my Pages document but I just need the text to pop up - not take the reader to another location. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Have you tried Word for Mac?
You will need to test if links survive export or printing to .pdf

Here's a slightly simplified version (saved in 8.6). There's no need for the Get/Set File Position. The file position is already being incremented with the read.

[CS3 JS] How to Create a Timer?

Within InDesign I need to be able to fire a periodic process to examine links from a JavaScript script. I have my own script running in its own engine.
I can't figure out how to create a timer that will run in the background and call the appropriate callback function periodically.
I've created a little process like this:
* Sleeps for waitTime milliseconds then calls the callBack function.

And this works in the sense that my timer runs, but it runs as a blocking process, which is not what I want.
Is there something I'm missing or is this simply not possible in CS3 JavaScript? A search on "timer" in the InDesign forums didn't reveal anything, nor did the InDesign JavaScript Guide nor the Scripting Tools Guide.

1. Download and install Active Page Item Developer Toolkit.

You'll have a demo period for 20 days or a month, I don't remember exactly.
2. Create a new document, open 'Active Page Item Developer' panel (Windows menu).
3. Copy the script from my previous post, draw an object - e.g. a rectangle and with the object selected enter 'idle' into Event Filter field, then press Tab and paste the script into the largest field.
You'll see an alert appearing every 10 seconds and the cursor flickering.

I am not aware of time dimension. But when i searched in metalink i got the below note. I am not sure whether it will help you or not but still a small contribution. :)
The note as follows,
To create new time dimensions, run the following SQL instructions :
* Example to generate a calendar between 1999-01-01 and 2007-12-31 one row per day
SELECT to_date('1999-01-01','YYYY-MM-DD')+rownum
FROM DUAL
CONNECT BY
ROWNUM<=to_date('2007-12-31','YYYY-MM-DD')-to_date('1999-01-01','YYYY- MM-DD');
* Example for generating a calendar random number
SELECT DBMS_RANDOM.VALUE

May be you can create a VIEW out of this query ,reverse it and use that as a source in your interface.

How to Create Roaming Profile(s) For Windows Workgroups

This Tutorial Shows how to create roaming profile(s) for Windows Workgroups.
Here are the steps in order to do this:
On the host PC:
1. Goto 'Folder Options'>'View' and un-tick 'Use Simple File Sharing'.
2. Goto Network Connections and right click on the 'Local Area Connection' (Ethernet recommended)
3. Goto Properties>General, and tick 'File and Printer Sharing'.
Click Apply + Ok.
4. Goto Control Panel>User Accounts, add a new user.
5. Logon to this user, and open the profile folder properties.
5b. Share this folder.
6. Make the Share permissions so that 'everyone' has: Full Control, Read, Change.
Click Apply + Ok.
7. Click on 'Caching' and disable Caching for this Share.
Click Ok.
8. Now goto the 'Security' tab and give 'Administrator' and 'SYSTEM' 'Full Control'.
Click Apply + Ok.
On the remote PC(s):
1. Make the same User as on the Host.
1b.Logon to the account and log back out again. Delete the profile folder from 'Documents and Settings'.
3. Give 'SYSTEM': 'Read','Read and Execute','List Folder Contents' to the 'Administrators' Profile
4. Type 'lusrmgr.msc' into run, goto: 'Users', double click on the new user and goto the 'Profile' tab.
4b. In the 'Profile Path' box, type \\hostPCname\ProfileName.
Click Apply + Ok
*Note* Replace the \\path\ accordingly to what names are on your Host PC.
5. Goto regedit>HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. Double click
on 'ProfileList'.
Find which key is for the new user. (Example S-1-5-21-58435627-18431725-18026167-1003)
6. Right click that key and goto: 'Permissions' and give 'SYSTEM' 'read'.
*Note* Once you logon to the roaming profile from the remote PC for the first time you can undo this step.
7. goto GPEdit>Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/User Profiles:
Enable these settings:
'Do not check for user ownership of roaming profile folders'
'Delete cached copies of roaming profiles'
'Log users off when roaming profile fails'
"Add the Administrators security group to roaming profiles'
'Prevent roaming profile changes from propagating to the server'
7b. Make 'Timeout for dialog boxes' '1' (seconds)
8. goto: Computer Configuration/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security Options:
Make 'Number of previous logons to cache (if server is unavailable) '0'
Now you're ready to login to the Profile on the remote PC.
*Note* Sometimes, when windows loads it takes a minute for the profile folder to become shared again.

There are several composites which needs to be deployed and maintained in the server. So, we I'm trying to maintian
by deploying composites into 3 different SOA-INFRA's so if one is not accessible, we can look into it and others can access the
composites from another SOA-INFRA instead of creating domains.

Login into the Configtool(C:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if ABAP+JAVA stack or C:\usr\sap\SID\JC<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if JAVA stack
click on the instance and and select the addserver button on the top to create a servernode for J2EE server.

Both Rama & Stephen are correct.
You can take Single GR for Multiple PO either in MIGO or MB01 as long as that POs belongs to same vendor.
In MIGO, after putting the PO press,enter, again give the next PO of that vendor .
If this solve your problem, close the issue.
