How to Create or Modify Chart Items in Developer 9i

Can any one tell me how to create or modify the Chart items in Developer 9i and Set its x-axis and y-axis values as this is done in developer 6i through Graphic Builder. More over I want to give the information that Developer 9i successfully compiles the 6i forms having chart items but when it is run, the chart is not displayed at all.

Dear viewers! I m waiting for any reply in response to my last thread but uptil now there is no help from any friend. So I am reminding my problem. Please if any one tell me How to create graphs/Charts in Forms 9i as there is graphic builder for this purpose in Forms 6i.

    After testing the issue in my local environment, we can enable the Scalar axis option to display a set of axis values on a continuous scale and reset the “Interval” property of the X-Axis. For more details, please see the following steps:
    Drag a Column Chart to design surface, insert corresponding fields.
    Right click on the Horizontal Axis and open the “Category Axis Properties” window.
    Check the “Scalar axis” option, set the “Interval type” to “Months” and set the “Interval” to 1 for example.
    Right click on the Vertical Axis and uncheck “Show Axis” option to hide the Y-Axis.
    Right-click the series columns to select “Show Data Labels”, then right-click on the Label and select Series Label Properties.
    In the Expression dialog box, modify the expression to anything you like.
    To adjust the width simply select the appropriate series and go to the properties pane and drill down into the Custom Attributes and find the PointWidth. Then set the value to 0.1 for example.

    Keynote and Numbers do not have a tool for making Donut Graphs. There are ways to make them using HTML, but I prefer to cheat:
    1 Create your first graph as a pie chart and add a circle of solid color to the center
    2. If you need more, take a screenshot of the pie chart with the center fill  and drag the screenshot into Preview - in Preview > Select Tool (pulldown from Toolbar) > Instant Alpha and remove the inner filled circle and outer fill then Save As > PNG with Alpha
    3. Drag your new hollow shape into Keynote. This chart can be placed over another pie chart with a filled center (the fill should match the background)
    Not as graceful as a special tool but can get the job done quickly - changing the data requires starting it over since at least one of your donuts my be an image rather than a pie chart with variable data.
    Try it. If you need more specific tools, Google Donut Shaped Charts for starts.

    Hi Jeyakanthan,
    here is an example (put the like statement into the where field)
    SELECT T0.CardCode, T0.CardName FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.CardName Like '%%test%%'
    The %% sign is a wildcard. If you need start with write 'test%%' and otherwise ends with '%%test'. For contains you need '%%test%%'. You also could combinate this statements like 'test%%abc%%'. This means starts with test and contains abc.

    Costs per person, with "Ali & Baker" as a separate entity (since no provision for separating costs)
    The formula is this:
    =SUMIFS($Cost, $Who Bought it?, "="&$Who Bought it?, $Bought?, "=TRUE")
    The reasoning is:
    Sum all Costs, if the following conditions are true:
    $Who Bought it?, "="&$Who Bought it?
    Group items in the 'Who Bought it? column that match the item in the same row as the formula.
    $Bought?, "=TRUE"
    Only include items that have actually been bought.

    I have highlighted the selected cell in red. 
    The coloured columns show which ones are relevant to the formula.
    To create the totals, I added Footer rows to the table.
    You could make a separate table if you prefer.
    To create the pie chart, I selected just the costs in the footer rows, and clicked on Charts.

    It is existing because to support the chart items your created in old versions of forms. However, you cannot use it for "Creating New Charts". It has become useless because, you have other powerful / more featured charting mechanism is available (one of which is BI Graph). So, why do you want to go for Old Chart Items, which has less features than using a full fledged BI Graph?

    You can use structured products:
    Step1:COMM_PR01
    Open Product xxxx > Relationships > Tab Component > Select Relationship type = STRSET Set > Assing product yyyy
    Step2: IMG > CRM > Transactions > Define Item Categories
    Open you item category and in Structure scope field select option A Single-Level Explosion of structured products
    Step3: IMG >  CRM > Transactions > Define Item Category Determination
    create new entry
    Transaction type =
    Item   category group = Category group of xxxx product
    main item cat = item cat of xxxx product
    item cat =  item cat of yyyy product
    now when you enter product xxxx , product yyyy will be automatically added

    The requirement is to create a chart view with stack bar that shows the percentage of each product''s unit sales.
    Now we are discussing whether we should customize the table to consolidate all these product columns into one "product desc" column with all the product names as row in order to fulfill this requirement..

    I tried to do this and was a bit successful. I used the paint catalog. Created a a request with 6 columns assuming units and dollars be stacked and Year ago units to be a line:
    Brand Units Dollars 0 Year_Ago_units 1
    Added a new request (Combined with similar request and selected paint subject area): Now in this request my columns are:
    Brand 0 0 Year_Ago_Dollars Year_Ago_units 2
    Assuming Year_Ago_Dollars be standard in your case.
    Created a chart view with brand and 1 on x axis and Units, Dollars, Year_Ago_Dollars on y axis and line as Year_Ago_units.
    Now able to see what I am expecting. May be you need to tweak a bit more according to your requirement.

    It looks some important info is missing.
    - what is the BOM structure ? What level is the  pricing / Delivery carried out? Iam sure it cant both i.e. pricing @ main item - sub item  because you have mentioned ERLA & LUMF.
    As you already aware-
    Item cat group ERLA is only used in main item MMR, if the main item is relevant for pricing / delivery. & then sub item item cat group should be NORM.
    similarly, if you want to delivery subitem & price is @ subitem level, then main item ,item cat group LUMF ,sub item item cat group NORM.
    now explain your requirement in a better way as possible.
