How to create pages within a page?

Hello,
I'm still pretty new to Dreamweaver and I'm wondering if someone could point me in a direction to learn to create a specific thing for a website. I want to make something like at the bottom of this website: http://www.andymartin.clara.net/iframes/
He has the window within the main window there, that changes with the three links below it without actually changing the whole page. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to point me to a tutorial on how this might be done? I'm working with version CS3. Thank you so much!

I would stay away from Iframes, they are problematic on a number of different levels. I would suggest that you start to learn html and css and get off on the right foot. Here is where I suggest you start.

How to create Chart within a web page NOT as seperate page?

Hi, I am using JCharts and am trying to figure out how (or if it is even possible) to create a chart and then place it in a web page. All the examples I've seen show you how to create a JPEG of the chart and then link to this image from your web page. Is it not possible to surround the JPEG chart with other HTML so that I can keep my web page logo and menu etc on the same page as the chart?
I can't find any examples which show how to surround your images with HTML as JCharts creates a JPG file and returns that in the Http Response e.g. "ServletEncoderHelper.encodeJPEG13(axisChart, 1.0f, response);".
My environment is Java 1.4.2, Struts and Tomcat 4.1.30.
Is there a way of drawing charts directly into a web page rather than displaying them on a seperate page as an image file?

Hi Hatton,
in html, there exists an img-tag. this tag contains a parameter called src. And if you want to embedd an image in your html-page, you will put the source of the image you want to display to the src-parameter. The same with servlets or java server pages. For the browser it doesn't matter where the html comes from. it doesn't matter if it has to be generated by an servlet-container like tomcat. So you write a servlet, which will create an image and make it accessible to your servlet container and then insert an tag like
<html>
<body>
<img src="http://yourdomain/servlet?param=value" width=aNumber height=aNumber>
</body>
</html>This can be done because servlets can be configured to response with images which can be created by java2d or something else...

How to create page breaks in numbers?

How do I create page breaks in iCloud Numbers? The spreadsheet I created is 4-5 pages long, but it saves as one long scrolling document, and when it prints, all 4-5 pages are seen (very small, unreadable font) on a single page. Any ideas?

This excel feature is not exactly available in Numbers.
Here we may create up to 255 sheets in a document. They are reachable from the thumbnails area.
And each sheet may embed up to 255 tables also reachable from the thumbnails area.
Think different or use Excel !

I am new to Oracle portal. i am using Oracle 3.0.
i am working on an application in portal. i have created n number of forms, reports, dynamic pages, menus, sub menus & lovs etc. currently i access my application in a raw manner. first login , then go to the navigator link then applications & click on menu.
my menu is a single entry point to my application. how can i publish this. i.e what i want to do is the moment user logs in he should straight away get the menu view.
I have read there is something by which we can create pages & publish them.
Could someone tell me how to create a page where i can drop my components such as menu , forms & reports on to it & then create a complete portal.
I can see a create page in my oracle portal but the moment i try to add a portlet in that page it gives me option for adding an appliction only what i want to add is the componenets(such as menus, forms etc) residing inside my application.
what it gives me is 2 options 1 to edit & the other to navigate the application only, here i can see my components but cannot include them in my page.

Hi,
First go to the navigator and click on the pages tab. From there click on create page link. Give the name of the page and finish with the page wizard. Then click on the created page from the navigator. Edit the page by clicking on the edit page link. Click on the "Add Portlet" icon and from there drill down into the application where the component is and then add it to the page. Make this page the default page for the users, who should see it when they log in.

In the navigation panel on the left choose Administration Guide > Content Administration. You will find topics on Pages, roles, worksets, etc.

Hello to everyone!
Please help me to resolve this problem. I want to create 2 separate Report regions on 1 page. But, I want to go to them using tab or region selector.

I want that when I go to Page i see tab named TEST1 and TEST2. Automaticaly will show TEST1 Region on page, when I click on TEST2 on the tab within page, i see TEST2 region.

Maybe there is another variant? Without jQuery? I found something like in Region Selector, but I don't need SHOW ALL option .
Or maybeI can somehow remove SHOW ALL tab???

How to create pages in ibooks author

I just got feedback from iTunes saying that my book has no visible pages in portrait mode. I created the book in landscape but i wouldn't mind it being in both formats. When i go to portrait mode I can't find a way to add a page or see the pages I created. How do you make pages in portrait mode?

Layout your book in landscape orientation - edit contents in portrait.
Use the toolbar to toggle between them.
Be sure to preview your book on your iPad in both.
If for some reason you only want to support landscape, use the Inspector/Document tab and select/check [ √ Disable portrait orientation ]

I have seen many websites with the home page address showing up as the name of the website and then as you click through the site, the web address changes..

My question is how is this set up in dreamweaver? All of my pages only have one level..

Let me preface this by saying that keeping everything in separate folders is not a convenient way to build a static website.
Obviously, Adobe's site is not static; it's dynamically driven.
That said, you create folders in your local site and add an index.html page to each one.
domain.com/index.html (main home page)
domain.com/support/index.html (support page)
domain.com/support/contact/index.html (contact page)
domain.com/about/index.html (about page) and so on....
Think twice before you do this. With all those index pages floating around in your site, things can get very confusing.

How to Create Page Regions of Equal Size

Can someone please help on how I can Create the page regions with equal HEIGHT blocks organized along the x-axis_ - as in the apex IDE tool menu path (and many areas of apex IDE ): "*Administration -> Dashboard -> Users*" tab (apex 4.0 version)
You'll notice that irrespective of the report data contained in each of the region blocks on that page, the height of all the regions are well organized along the horizontal x axis and with same heights (row 2 specifically) :).
I'm having 3 regions on my page with Lists of links. But each region has different number of list-entries, thus my regions are not displaying the same height. I'm using Template 20 and region template as: "Borderless Region". Applying ReportRegiont template also doesn't help.
To summarize, irrespective of the height of the list-entries shown in each of my 3 regions on the page - Display Point: Page Template Body (1) - columns 1,2&3 - ", the surrounding region x-y height should be same - potentially equal to the y-axis height of the region containing the maximum list entries.

you can fix the height of region by this way..
Edit the region
In Region Header section put
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="1" align="left">
<tr height="350px" width="450px" align="left" valign="top"> //you can set height and width according to you
<td>
In Region Footer section put
</td>
</tr>
</table>
put the above code in all region of your page...this make your all region same height and width.

I am trying to create Tabs for 12 pages in the same document for numbers. These tabs that I would like to create are what I am used to on Excel and you can have one document with seperate tabs at the bottom. Not sure if numbers can do this?
