How to create SBA mediation pool

Hi,
I have 2 x SBA for a branch site, whenever I create a SBA in topology builder, a mediation server will be created automatically.  How can I create a mediation pool and add both of mediation servers into the pool?
Jason

Hi Jason,
You can collocate mediation servers with Lync FE servers  or create a separate pool, depends upon call volume.

    Hi,
Though you get a popup for different options for different program types like Class pools, function groups etc in SE 38 Program attributes, you can't create them from Se38 transaction.
They have to be created from different places.
Class Pools are nothing but creating CLASSes and INTERFACEs using the T Code SE24.
This needs little Java/OOPs concepts to create and use them.
    Hope this helps.

  • HOW DB POOLING WORK AND HOW TO CREATA A DB POOLING IN JSP

HI! I'm new in programming JSP and in web programming. I would like to learn how does the DB pooling work and how to create a DB Pooling. THANKS....

Thanks for the idea but i need a more detail one...
    Hi,
Db connections are one of the most expensive
operations in an application. So at applicatin launch
only multiple connections to the dbase are opened and
    used and returned/closed after usage.
You can have a loop running 10 times creating a
connection every time and putting those in a
Collection object (say hashtable) marked with a key.
Then in the application code , take an available
connection from the hashtable and use it . After use
return /close the connection (your pool can be
    incremental..creating 5 connections evey 10-15
    minutes).

  • How to create a Thread Pool

    Freinds,
I need to create a thread pool for one of my application. My knowledge of threads is limited to beginner level. I am just looking out for some pointers that will help me to create thread pool by reading and understanding any of the availble examples. Please send and if possible explain a bit. I really appreciate the fast response from the crowd. Thanks a lot for the help.

    Hi,
A thread pool is used in situations where you have multiple requests to be serviced and limited resources. A typical example is a server with multiple clients. The server resources are limited and you cant typically create a thread for each client. You would then pick up one of the vacant threads and process the client and put the thread back in the pool. If you dont have any free threads, then you will make the client wait till you have one.
The typical questions you need to ask are, pool size, the kind of waiting scheme (queue, stack, prioritized queue, etc.). Additionally if you need a resizable thread pool you would need to define how the pool should shrink (abort operation and terminate or wait for operation to continue and terminate) and things like this.
If you need a typical implementation of a thread pool, you can go to JavaGuru.com where you have a standard implementation with all relevant details explained.

  • Does anyone have any notes on how to create a module pool?

    Hi,
I have created a new task type called "Notice Period Change Date" which I need to default in a task date of 5 years service (from their hiring date). Having read up on this I think I need to create a module pool and link via the dynamic action but I am a bit unsure on how to do this.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Hannah

I think that you could use a dynamic action to create this new task date.
Create the dynamic action on the infotype 0000 when the action type (MASSN) = hiring,
Call infotype 0019 with the subtype = your new task type.
Then call a function (F) to add 5 years to the hire date (P0000-BEGDA) and put the result into the task date field P0019-TERMN
Take a look at the dynamic actions table T588Z - there are probably some examples already there.

  • How to Create a connection pool in OSB java callout

    Dear Team,
In our project, we need read some data from DB, and do corresponding operation. currently, we need setup the connection first, execute the SQL, and close the connection.
But the concurrency of call is very high, is there a way to create a connection pool, then we can use the connection pool to get the connection and execute the SQL, then return the connection to the pool.
if connection pool is not available, is there any way to create the connection outside the java callout, that we can just execute the SQL in java callout.
    The OSB version is 11.1.1.6.0
    Thanks.

    Hi Team,
    Thanks for your help.
What I need is not only the db connection, may be other kind of things, such as read configuration from file...
If I write the code in java callout with static java method to create and close the connection, each time when request come in, OSB will create a new connection (or read the file), I think it's not the best practice to do this kind of work.
I think the weblogic is running in JVM, is there any way we can define variables or new object in the JVM directly?

  • How to create Union Time Pool using accruals ???

    Hi,
My client has a unique requirement of creating a Union Time Pool i.e. at the begining of each year the client will have 'X' amount of hours assigned to the pool. Employees under Union Contract will then be eligible to take any leave hours from that time pool as long as they are approved by there supervisor. Now, if we create an element pertaining to the special leave based on Time Pool, then an entry can be made at timecard level and the number of hours remaining can be determined.
But, this pool is not employee based hence the Hours remaining calculation for the Time Pool is irrespective of any assignment rather its organization/GRE based. How do we implement this using Accruals?
The client wants to view the balances in the Time Pool within the system. How can that be achieved?
I understand Accruals Caculation and balances is totally assignment based, how can that be made for GRE/Organization based?
Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ujjal

    Hi,
This is a really interesting scenario.. what are you trying to do
    1. Find a place where the common pool details can be entered at the start of the year
    2. The accrual process should deduct from this pool
    3. On accrual balance for the union should be displayed.
let us evaluate what are things that cannot be used
    1. Elements can be initialized as the leave pool is for a group of people whereas elements are for an assignment
    2. Balances cannot be used for same reason
so what are the options that we have..
    1. Store the pool in a lookup that can be created based on a bg or gre (use dff) and use the date fields of the lookup to simulate date track feature in HRMS. This way you would be able to enter values for every year for every bg / gre. Also enable another dff segment to store the balance leave in the pool. This field can be hidden.
    2. You can refer lookup in the accrual rules and evaluate the pool for processing the leave
    3. Customize the form / page to display the remaining pool from based on the person's detail and the lookup. This customization could be complicated instead you can maintain a dff in person/ asg table and write a custom process that will populate the pool balance for all people.
This one of the suggestion I can give you.. there could be other options that you can evaluate.. but its not going to be simple..
    I hope this helps you.

  • How to create datasource/connection pool programatically?

    Hello,
We are developing a system that connects to multiple databases by dynamically switching datasources, using ADF 12.1.3. Application is deployed on weblogic and glassfish.
There is no problem on switching and working on multiple datasources which is created previously on the application server (weblogic/glassfish).
Now we need to create a datasource while system is running.
Is it possible to create datasource programatically, and list datasource previously created?
    Jdeveloper/ADF: 12.1.3.
    Thanks,
    Ganbat Bayarbaatar.

    Dear Ashish,
Thank you for your response, but that is not what I was looking for.
I haven't any problem on changing datasources. I would like to create new datasource on application server.
On Andrejus's post, there is a comment about what I'm asking:
Syed : Nice Post. To enhace this more further. How can we get list of JDBC Data sources available in weblogic in the ADF Application.
Andrejus: By using WebLogic API this should be possible or by accessing MBean...
Is there any more-detailed blog post or doc, about "Weblogic API", "MBean"  and using them to create datasource?
    Thanks,
    Ganbat.

  • How to configure Application module pooling?

I want to know wheather bc4j container itself manages Application module pooling if yes then please tell me is there any file to set parameters for congiguration like one which we have for apache web server.
If no then please let me know how to create applicatiom module pooling.
    Thanks in advance.

Application module pooling is configurable through an application module configuration. In order to edit an application module configuration you may right click an application module and select Configurations...
The BC4J data web beans and the BC4J JSP datatags are both application pool clients. The BC4J documentation includes descriptions of the application pool properties. The documentation also includes a code sample which illustrates how to write your own pool client.

  • How dynamically create connection pool and Datasource

    Hi
How I can dynamically create a connection pool and Data source in Oracle 10g Application server. In our J2EE application the user will be login with db user name, password and database name. I want to create connection pool and data source on the fly while login the user with database name. I our application we have access approximate 80 Databases. so my approach is given bellow
    1) Planning to create 80 connection pools and 80 Data sources so when user logs in while selecting the db name i will call the appropriate data source and create the DB connection. Is there any limitation to create number of data sources in oracle app server?
    2) Create DB connection with out using connection pool and data source. But i am not prefer this approach coz we need to handle some transaction in our application.
Kindly throw some light on managing connection pool programmatically or in application run time.
I would really appreciate if any one can provide any links or any inormation on this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

Kindly let me know is there any drawbacks to create 80 Data Sources to connect 80 database in Oracle 10G App server and each data sources should have one connection pool. so i need to create 80 connection pool. Please let me know is this right approach or any work around to create Data source on fly for each request for corresponding database.
