Hi,
I think you mean query strrucutures in Query designer. Goto rows/columns. Right click on columns and choose new structure. Now you can define all fields for your structure. Right click and choose new selection or formula. Then right click and choose save as. Now you can save it as reusable structure for other queries.

How to create unpacked bootstarp info with f4fpackager?

Hi,
I am using AMS 5 standard. Looks like f4fpackger creates hds vod manifest with packed bootstrap info, as show below.
Say if my vod has 10 fragments - first 9 fragments are 4s long and last fragment is 1.6 seconds long then the bootstarp info I get looks like,
Fragment# 1,    duration=4s,
Fragment#10, duration =1.6s
Is there a way to create manifest with unpacked bootstarp info, i.e list all the fragment information as shown below?
Fragment# 1,    duration=4s,
Fragment# 2,    duration=4s,
Fragment# 3,    duration=4s,
Fragment# 4,    duration=4s,
Fragment# 5,    duration=4s,
Fragment# 6,    duration=4s,

Hey,
When using the f4fpackager tool, the bootstrap in the manifest file is nothing but the base64 encoded form of the ‘abst’ box available in the last fragment of your asset.
However if you use the ‘--external-bootstrap’ option, the bootstrap tag in manifest will contain a URI of the bootstrap file which contains the ‘abst’ box in binary form.
The f4fpackager tool will pack the fragment run table and there is no tool from adobe that I am aware of to unpack it or create a manifest with unpacked data as mentioned by Tanuj above.
To make your custom client working, you will have to create the ‘abst’ box with unpacked data, do a base64 encoding and update your manifest file or leave it in binary form when using external-bootstrap option.
Looks like you are already aware of the f4f file structure. Spec here http://www.adobe.com/devnet/f4v.html if you are not aware of the same.
You are already half done in decoding the fragment run table and unpacking it. Now you just need to put it together as an abst box and that’s it.
I would however suggest you to get the third party client updated to understand the packed structure so that it can play files other than that created by your solution.
The OSMF framework is already implemented this way and can be used as reference. It’s open source.

the problem that i cant insert this type to fildcatolg( i must do it because it build me the field)
so max some days ago said:

How to Create a Page and provide the Page link in personalisation.

I have unique requirements as follow ...
On a Page , We need to create a Link. After clicking this link , the control should open a new page and the new page details need to shown.
I did the following ,
1. Personalized the page. Added a new Item of the Type "Link". In URI filed I gave an existing page ( for testing ). It was working fine. But When I gave my actual page which I created in HTML(*.html extension ) , which did not worked.
Can not we provide *html page in the URI filed of the Item type Link.
Please help me in resolving this.

Guys one update if you want to create a link for a PDF file to show on to your browser use the below method.
I used this below method for bringing the PDF file ( the file which business want to show on browser ) using the below steps.
1. Created a Link using personalization.
2. Provided target frame as "New Window".
3. Provided URI : FileName.pdf.
Note that the FileName.pdf should be kept in the $OA_HTML Path on the Unix box. The Personalization would look for the file in the path of $OA_HTML and display in the other browser which is a full file. I did not get Home and Logout buttons over there. So I suggest you to use if you in need of Loading an informative page on the Browser.

How to create a variable in Bex Query Designer

Hi guys,
I am writing a query for a travel management report using the SAP Standard cube. I would like to restrict the query so it only shows me the last two months excluding the current month. I have checked BI content in RSA1, but I canu2019t find a relevant SAP standard variable that I can use.
Can anyone please tell me if I can create my own? And if so, how I can do this.

lets say u want to display following picture:
sept$-----august$

so in Query designer go to Default values section.
Bring in Calendar month
right click calendar month
and hit Restrict
now select variable
use standard sap variable Current Month.
hit okey
now select Variable and hit Red button
Result u restricted current month.
in columns bring in keyfigure $
right click and hit edit
bring in time field calendar month
right click and hit restrict
bring in Current month
right click and select - SET OFFSET FOR VARIABLE
select -1
hit okey
repeat the above process
and this time select offset = -2
this way u restricted current month
but displayed last 2 months for keyfigure values.

You have to create characteristic variable processing by Customer Exit by considering 0CalDay as a Reference Characteristic
After creation of the above variable, you restrict your KF with the above created variable.
Now you can create a Text variable for the description of your KF. This way it works...........

How to create a page break in application designer

Hi Folks,
I need to create a simple page break in a PeopleSoft online page for the purpose controlling how the page prints. To achieve this, I'm using an HTML area in app designer with the following page break code:
<p style="page-break-after:always;"></p>
Unfortunately, with this code, and extra blank page will print out after the HTML area. It's actually breaking both before and after the HTML area. I've tried every permutation of the 'break' command with no luck. How can I stop the extra blank page from printing?

Query for Info Provider

How to create query for infoprovider ? I have selection criteria, calculation and result screen for queries taken from one reference query. I am new to this part so dont know which transaction we will use to create query. Is it APO part or BI/BW part ?
