I am starting my development on client system.
Whenever i try to create infoarea or cube or catalog or whatever it is asking for request.
before creating request, Project must be created plz tell me how to create a project?
whats the relation between project and package?
And one more question...if i want to avoid asking requests then what settings must be done so that after all development is over i can transport to quality system at time.

Try with following settings if you have not done:
1) In define project type, for for accounting integration , select scenario as: Accounting integration in my SAPERP and type of transfer as : Always Automatic when saving
2) For Define object link for object type , define proxy class for WBS element and Project definition(PS)
Also define RFC for Single object Controlling on WBS element in Object types for object links.
3) For Accounting integration in Make general settings, for your project type select frame09 for your object type single object controlling on Internal order
4) Define CO scenario CPR2 with Strategy sequence as SAP040 in period end closing, costing sheet as standard and Costing variant as PC02(Internal Order)
5) In CO scanrio maintenance view, for your project type select contolling method as Internal Order( Project Definition, Automatic)
With these settings I am able to create a PS project from cProject when I save a cProject.

Have u already created a project?
select the same in solar01 and click the structure tab
On the left side select business scenarios and on the right side select the structure tab
Press F4 here and check the Busines process repository is selected
Nw you hav all the standard business process
For non-standard just type there name and press save button.
Add the relevant one's
Once added here in solar01 reflected in solar02 automatically with relevant data for standard business process.
you hav to add manually for non stand scean you have added.

bcz LSMW project wil reads the data line wise bt MPN numbers varies for different materials

there is no standard program for deletion, through LSMW recording method possible to delete the materiasl.
goto LSMW tcode and create programt subproject and object goto step 1 select the second method that is RECORDING , here you need to record the MM06 tcode and process the recoding...
the tcode MM06 is set the deletion flag.
if you want delete alla metarial based on client level use MMDE tcode.

To create the project:
1) go to CMOD
2) Enter a project name
3) Click on the Create button
4) Enter a description for the project
5) Save the project
6) Click on the Enhancement Assignments buttoin
7) Enter RSR00001 (BI: Enhancements for Global Variables in Reporting) and RSR00002 (BI: Virtual Characteristics and Key Figures in Reporting) inro the Enhancement Assignment field
8) Save the project

How to create a project's Menu in PeopleSoft left hand Menu Navigation ?

Folks,
Hello. My PeopleSoft project has 3 items (item1, item2 and item3). Each item has 5 components (Component1, Component2, Component3, Component4 and Component5).
Currently, I can acces each component by type in the URL in Browser as follows:
http://127.0.0.1/psp/ps/NodeName/PortalName/c/MenuName.ComponentName.GBL
But I want my project to appear in the left hand "Menu" navigation after we sign on PeopleSoft. My project Menu will look like a hierarchical tree. When the user click on it, the user can see all the project's items and components and link to a component directly. But I don't understand how to do it.
Do any folks understand how to create a project's Menu in PeopleSoft left hand Menu navigation ?

Second, if need to register each Menu seperately again, how to do it ?Delete entries for content references that you added earlier while registering(by navigating to portal), as well as the entry from permission lists. After that you should be able to register again.

I know how to create message in satellite system and configuration required for that but now my requirement is to create message in solman only and then further process the same as usual. How can I do that.
NOTIF_CREATE is the transaction code for that but it ask for lot of details to create ticket. Can I create ticket form Help--->Create Support Message? Do I need to maintain table BCOS_CUST in solaman? What else configuration is needed to be done?

There can be many reasons for 513 error.
Please check the following steps in you systems:
Check the number range assignment for SLF1 in transaction dno_cust01.
Check for ur authorization of SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE to create the messages.
Go to transaction DNO_CUST04. Select the field NO_USER_CHECK, and check the "filed value". should be X
Confirm Ur entries in Service Desk destinations in the Solution Manager System. OSS_MSG must exist

I have created a class to find the MoonRise and Set time. There is a java code available and I am translating it to Obj-C.
My problem is that for the calculation there are many support functions which is internally used. When I try to duplicate this as follows

Well, Objective-C is a superset of C. If you're porting Java, you'll find protocols (ObjC) similar to interfaces (Java).

Hi. I've downloaded the base Java edition of JDev 11 (the one that's 55 MB) and am wondering how to create a web app; didn't need the ADF stuff. I created a WEB-INF folder via Windows Explorer in the project's folder but the app doesn't recognize it. How do you create a web project in this edition of JDev 11's base Java edition? It also doesn't seem to be an option when you choose New. Thanks.

Web Project is an option in the Studio edition, not in the Java edition.

How to create a project/solution from a completed dtsx file?

I have been working with the MSDN tutorial (with sql server 2008 R2) at

and now I'm trying to work with one of the completed lessons (lesson1.dtsx). I was able to open Lesson1.dtsx from BI by selecting the Open File option. This opened up Lesson 1 in the designer with the Flow task and LookUp objects. But there
is nothing in the solution explorer, and 'Start Debugging' is grayed out in BI/Debug. Is there a way I can create a project / solution from this completed dtsx? How to accomplish that?
Like in C# if I open up a .csproj file in VS(2012) I can run the project, and on closing -- VS will ask to save the solution .sln and VS creates the .sln for you. Can BI do something like that with a .dtsx file?
