How to Create Transport ?

Hi Guys, I am trying to create transport request and have come across a doubt, while collecting the objects for transport. If i click on "Object type" in "Transport Connection" and choose Infocube as the Object to be collected and create a transport request, will all the InfoObjects belong to this InfoCube also get transported along with this request, or do i need to collect those InfoObjects in a separate transport request?
Your help will be appriciated in terms of points...

Hi:
Most of the time, IF nobody has the InfoObjects in their requests, all the Objects will come into your request.
You will have a chance to see for yourself. If they are not there, then you can do the steps below -
If you want to collect all related Objects for the Cube, then, in the menu, there is a button called: Grouping.
There select the one called "In Data FLow Before".
ALso, is a good idea to move these before you collect Cubes, ec.

Then, start with the remaining stuff.
Look up some Posts on guidence, there is lot of help on SDN.
Re: transport strategy
One more note, eventhough if you move Cube, it will transport the rest of the dependent Objects, I don't personally follow it. Some people do.
I move in this Order.
R/3 transports.
Replicate R/3 Data Sources
BW -
InfoAreas
Application Components
(when you move the above, don;t move any other Objects with them)
InfoObject Catalog with InfoObjects
Cubes
InfoSOurces
Update Rules
Queries, Web templates, etc.
Generate Export Data Sources
Replicate Data Sources
Objects that depend on Replicard Objects in BW.
Its mostly based on experience.

For the Standard text created in SO10,
please go to transaction SE78 -> FORM GRAPHICS->STORED AS TEXT->STANDARD TEXTS->
Double click on ADRS or ST or what ever your type of text->
Enter your standard text name
Click on transport button->SHIFT+f6-> It will ask you for a transport request.

hi Guru,
do you mean transport request? Than go to tcode SE01 and click create, choose customizing request (or workbench, if you want to transport abap programs, tables, etc.), enter some name and you have a transport reuqest.

I have created a dynamic selections view form Se80 > Editobject>Selection view > Created by adding the required tables pa0002,pa006,pa0009 . But the transport request saved it locally now i want to create a transport request for the dynamic view . Kiran,
From RSA5 --> Choose datasource and select "Activate Datasource" --> system prompts for transport request. Do not save as local object. assign package and assign to transport request.
From RSA6 --> Select datasouce --> choose transport(truck icon) --> follow same as above
From LBWE --> if you do any changes or customization system prompt for transport request.

Check whether t he Request is being generated or not
if yes
go to SE10
display the tranport request
Release the Cusotmising Task first
later relase the Request
and later Check whetehr the Request is passed in Qiality form Development thru t code STMS
Check with ur basis consultant once

In the same screen, go to Menu bar>Table view. Transport.
This will help you to create Transport request and u can move the same to Production.

How to Create Transport Request For custom table

Hello All,
I have and requirement to create transport request automatically when and record inserted in to the custom table.
Actually FI whe people create or delete some bank account from DEV client the transport request creates automatically and they transport that request to Quality and Production system to delete or create that account from all the systems. but when they delete the account all the informations related to that bank accounts get deleted from all the standered customize tables . to keep the track of that deleted account I have created one z table which is of type customize table. this table is filled automatically when any account get deleted from DEV system. now I want to pass that record to Quality and Production systems using transport request.
how can i create transport request when record get inserted into my ztable automatically.

Hello All,
This is a FAQ and has been answered many times before in the forum.
1. Maintain delivery class 'C' it will start asking for a TR: False. Delivery class has got nothing to do with the TR prompt. It determines how the data is to be transported. A delivery class 'C' will prompt for a customizing request, whereas a delivery 'A' will prompt for a workbench request.
2. For the system to automatically prompt for a TR you have to select the "Standard Recording Routine" in the table maintenance generator. This will prompt you for a TR every time you try to create / modify a record & save it to the DB.
Hope i am clear in my explanation.
If your table is filled automatically through some coding you have to add the entry to the TR programmatically. Business Content --> Choose & Install the standard web template & then collect the object for transport...Assign a Package & when prompted for Transport Request --> Opt for a new transport request.

How to create transport to move table contents?

Hello all:
    I updated some z table (added some data) but it did not create a transport so that I can move to QAS! Could someone please tell me the steps to move table contents to move to QAS i.e, how do I force to create a transport for this so that I can move the contents to QAS?

Check the below code ,if you maintain table maintaince for your ztable then select second radio button ,add your table name ( Bold).
This will goto Sm30 and when you create entries ,when you click on save button this will ask transport request.
I used to follow this program when ever transport request is required.

How To create transport to delete the test bapi.

Hi guys,
I have created a ztest bapi before creating the original bapi required.
Both are under same function group and both are under main transport request number as the different subtasks.
Now I want to create a transport to delete the Ztest bapi. How do I do that?
Example:
A->The main transport request
A1 -> Ztestbapi subtask number
A2-> bapi reuired subtask number
Now I want to delete A1 and create a transport to delete A1.
And provide this transport to the client.

Like I tried to go to T.code se80 and provided the function group name under which I got the bapis i created.
when I right clicked on Ztest bapi, I found the option delete.Can i delete here?

How to create transport request to transport company logo for ALV report

When I create company logo ZCOMP via transaction OAER, it works fine and it showed on my ALV Grid report. Is it possible to transport this Logo to QAS and PRD or I have to go to each client and create separately. I do not have authorization in PRD, therefore I like to do the transport.

yes is possible
go to transaction OAER with
class name = 'your class name'
classtype = 'your class type'
object key = 'your object key'
execute program
set cursor on the picture that you want to transport then click on the last button on the gui status or press SHIFT+F12 or Document->transport.
now a popup appear for confirm the transport then u can create you Change Request.

I'm working on afresh BW system and need to create the transport package
By defaults all the objects are stored under $TMP package

goto rsa1--> transport conenction --> collect all your objects which you know that are in $TMP package..
right click on each object and click on change package --> it will prompt a window asking for package name --> enter your package and click ok -- it will ask for transport request.
If package is not created in the system then all the developments will be automatically collected in to $TMP package.
use Transaction SE80 --> select Development co-ordination here u can create package ...
check with BASIS if the package is created for your developments in BW dev system.

Is this the only object to transport?
Is the activation of business function should be direct in QAS system?

Yes.
The "after import" method during the transport will activate the BF as it did in the original system.
