How to create valid DW site?

Hi,
What does this mean please?
"You must work within a valid dreamweaver site to use this
extension"
I've purchased Pop Menu Magic, when I click an insertion
point for PMM and then click the PMM button, I get the above
message. How do I make my site a valid dreamweaver site so that I
can use that extension please?

Have you defined a site? SITE | New > Site....
DW is very site-centric. For all of DW's management
conveniences to work,
you need to correctly define your local and remote site.
Please use DW's F1

I have been asked to create a website for a product. A very simple website with maybe one or two pages and one product for sale for which the client would like Paypal as the payment gateway. Simple right?
No! This client would like to market their product into Europe, they would like to purchase multiple European domains ( .fr, .de for example).
So how on earth can I do this? I will be using Muse for build and Business Catalyst for hosting.
Bearing in mind the client will not want to pay for separately hosted sites. Is there a way of translating the text for each domain. Or could I assign multiple domains but direct them to different home pages within the same site?
I haven’t a clue how to problem solve this.

How does one manually create an in-site search engine (without using Google's site search engine or the like)? Is it very difficult and time consuming?

If your site is dynamically populated with content from server-side databases, it's not hard.
If your site is static, a 3rd party search function might be a better choice until you're ready to build a dynamic site.

I have to create a multilingual site which has custom UI elements.
Like- custom top navigation where navigation items comes from a custom list. How to translate these custom elements?
Also how to make manual translation of content an easy process(when we create variation site)?

When you create a varation of source site, It will just create a normal replica of site with custom master applied to it.
If the Changes are done on Master page it will automatically apply to destination site. Once normal site is create. you need to publish the Document library so it replicated to destination. Also use Relative URL in Javascript and CSS where ever required.

I am a novice website developer and I am learning the basics of Dreamweaver. I needed advice how I can go about a certain task: I have an excel file referencing several pdf's that I have pertaining to my business. There are dozens of pdfs. I was going to post my excel sheet, and also provide a link to an FTP site where visitors can view the files and read/download them as they wish. With Dreamweaver, how can I create an FTP site that can accomplish this? Or is there a spry element I can use to give visitors access to my pdf's? Thanks for any advice.

Anytime you want to post something on the internet, you will have to have someplace to host them, whether it is a ftp, http site or another place to host your files. You don't need an ftp site to accomplish what you are trying to do. A simple webpage with links to the pdf will do exactly that.
If you are wanting just some place to host your pdf files, then you should google or bing it as search terms.

Hi everybody,
let me explain my problem: I need to create a forum site similar to this one (i.e. Java forum).
Users should have to login/logout, watch topics, post topics, and so on.
My idea was to use Linux+Apache+Tomcat+PostgreSQL but I need to start from scratch in writing all JSP code.
So my questions:
1) Do you thing the above technologies are enough or do I need something more complex (for example JBoss) but with many parts already provided?
2) Could anyone please provide me a sort of template from which starting my own development, or point me to some useful links?

i created a simple forum using JSP and JSTL alone - not a scriptlet or even a bean was needed. the site uses tomcat's authentication, and there are two tables called THREADS and MESSAGES. Messages uses the thread ID as a foreign key to the threads table.
So when someone starts a new topic, a thread record and a message is created, when a user replies to an existing thread, only a message record is created.
Printing out all messages in a particular thread is a simple SELECT FROM messages m, threads t WHERE m.id = t.id

Is it possible in IC WebUI when New Customer is being created through IC center to put validation on some field for Example if customer with the Last Name, First Name, email exists already in the system to notify user about it and to not allow create duplicate. If it possible how to do it using adviseable by SAP ways?

Actually u cannot have valid values for buttons. IN SAP we have Copy to and Copy from but the same kind of button cannot be created in SDK..... so u need to use the combo box and add ur valid values.

I have a simple question. Is it possible to create a validation for tabular form which will be fired only for created?
There is a possibility in APEX 4.1 to choose two types of "*Execution scope*" first is "*For created and Modified Rows*" and second is "*All Submitted Rows*".

You can still use the scope of For created and Modified Rows and use a PL/SQL Expression condition of:
:APEX$ROW_STATUS = 'C'You also need to change Execute Condition to For Each Row .

How to create 2 different sites in iWeb

It may be I'm missing something really basic but I have no way to make two independent sites. I have one and if I add another this one lists below in the left column. It seem to be independent but when I export to disk they both go together. As the second site doesn't create a link in the first one you can't access it.
What I want is to have two different projects but there's not even an open menu to open the site you want.
What is what I don't understand with this program?

Thanks for the fast answer, but there's still something I miss. This is what I do:
- I use iWeb to make a site.
- I publish it to a folder in my hard disk.
I still doesn't have a domain, I'm just designing my web.
I have tried to move or rename that folder and even send it to the trash with no result. Everytime I open iWeb there it is.
You speak of a domain file which I don't know what it really is. I have searched my hard disk and it seems that nothing related with iWeb appears except the folder where I publish the site.

If you are planning to setup DR Portal at a remote location, federated portal or Data Replication Tools at DB or Storage Level can be used.
Also A Standalone Portal with a well defined Change Management (UME Data, Portal content Items such as pages, roles, KM content with km exchange) can be implemented.
If both servers will reside at sam location, Clustering may be an option.

You didn't state the apex version you are using but assuming your at least on version 4 all client side interaction start with Dynamic actions.
These are explained in chapter 17.9 of the Application Express Application Builder User's Guide Release 4.2.
See if using the when condition works for the validations. With an alert as action to notice the user of the error.
The standard when conditions would probably not cover all your needs completely.
Then JavaScript comes into play. Some starting points

I tried to create JSON using webapp list layout. My list layout looks like:

It works fine but as soon as some one use special chars like double quotes etc. The JSON stop working and become invalid. Please also see my thread at stackoverflow where I gave me javascript code as well. If any one can help on this issue he will find me thankful to him.

That is just scripting.
You either have to regexp to break out or you use " ' so if quotes are inside then you use single outside.
Take when you set the HTML of an element in jquery as an example...
