  • Steps to Create Web Dynpro iview

    Hi,
i created web dynpro application using Netweaver Developer Studio.
Now i want to show that on portal.
so please let me know the steps to create web dynpro iview.
    regards
    mmukesh

    Hi,
Logon to portal with administrator uid/pwd. Content Administration->Portal Content. Right Click on the folder 'Portal Content' and select 'iView'->'New'. In the Template Selection, select 'SAP Web Dynpro iView' and click 'Next'. In the 2nd step, provide iView Name and iView ID and a prefix.
Salect 'Java' in the 3rd step. n the 4th step, select the System (WAS System), give the project name of your webdynpro, like, local/ABC_Project in the WebDynproNameSpace and the Application Name. An iView will be available now.
After creating an iView, you should create a page and add the iView to it. Then create a role and add your page to it. Then assign this role to your user. Set the role property 'Entry Point' to true.
Then when you log into the portal you'll see your role in the top level navigation, click on it to see your iView.

  • Web dynpro iview in web page composer ?

    Hi All,
I am developing one Web site by using Web Page Composer. Can anyone help me for how to use Web Dynpro iview on web page.
    Regards,
    Rahul.

    HI Rahul,
As of now we can not include a Web Dynpro iView on the WPC page like other iViews.
But you can try to create a URL iView from Web Dynpro application
and then add that URL iView to your page.

  • Web Dynpro iView  fail to execute on portal side

    Hi Gurus
I have Created Web Dynpro Application in Backend ( ECC ).
If i tested them from SICF transaction or SE80 transaction they are working fine.
Now on Portal side, I hav created Web Dynpro iView for Those ICF Services (Web Dynpro Apllications).
But most of time they Fails to execute from Portal side.
    Symptoms :
On Browser Status Bar It keep on refreshing that iView address.
and Nothing comes on O/P side.
What culde be the Problem ?
    How To resolve !!
    Thanks & Regards
    PK

This regularly happens to us with new WDA applications - seems to be a "bug".
Deactivate the service in SICF and reactivate it, then try your iView again.
If that doesn't work, deactivate the whole WebDynpro node in SICF and reactivate it (including all relevant sub nodes & services).
Pretty sure that will fix it.

  • How to mapping Bapi_EeCatimesheet with Web Dynpro iview

    I have problem with CATS:
    1. mapping field from Web Dynpro iview with Bapi_EeCatimesheet_Worklist
    Column: Activity = Bapi_EeCatimesheet_Worklist_input_Out.???
    Column: xxx = ???
Variable as TimeSheet of SAP Easy View
    2. How to insert Employee timesheet into SAP System by Bapi

    Hi,
At first time the ApplicationParameter was not displayed among the mappable properties. After that I changed the ApplicationParameter property of the WD iView (so it became different from the default one) and created a new room template. What happened ? At the new template I could map to room_id to the ApplicationParameter. Interesting, not?
One other thing: What do you think about the following ?
    1. First creating a "Concat Strings" extension to create a string like "room_id=<room_id>"
    2. Creating an other extension and mapping the newly created string to the ApplicationParameter property
    3. Getting the parameter from WD with the help of getRequestParameter(java.lang.String key)
I have not tried it yet, but I plan to do it.

The System is successfully built under System Amininstration->System Configuration->System Landscape->Portal Content->kaushikb named WD_System and System Alias is named as: WebDynpro_alias.

    4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
    5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
    6. Pings the server to see if it is alive.

    8. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
    Results

    2. The system was retrieved.

  • Web Dynpro iView - how to pass URL parameters?

I have a Web Dynpro application that is housed in the Enterprise Portal.  We have a requirement where we need to provide an external link to the iView/Web Dynpro component - for the sake of this discussion, assume it's email.  As part of this URL link, we need to pass a parameter that will cause the Web Dynpro app to fetch some data.
The Web Dynpro has a startup plug parameter - call it 'id'.
I can invoke the Web Dynpro application directly, and pass the id paramter on the URL - the application can see the parameter just fine.  However, when I try and do the same via a Roles-based URL, the parameter does not survive.  I've tried two different methods:
    http://host:port/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://path/to/iview&id=1234
    and
    http://host:port/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://path/to/iview!26id=1234
    neither of which work.
is there a way to do what I'm trying to do?  Note that the 'id' paramter is dynamic - I can't code it in the Web Dynpro iView configuration.

    Hi,
    please try the following:
    http://host:port/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://path/to/iview&DynamicParameter=<encode(id=1234)>
The value of the DynamicParameter value must bei encoded.
For details please have a lool to

  • How to integrate Web Dynpro Java 7.1 with EP 7.0?

    Hi,
I have 2 servers: 1 is EP 7.0 and another is CE 7.1. Is there any way how to use Web Dynpro Java deployed in CE 7.1 as an iView in EP 7.0 other than portal federation? We cannot use the portal content producer-consumer concept. Is there any other way how to do that?
    Regards,
    Tomas

    I have same task.
I did not understood how and which system you created to resolve problem?
As well, any reference  would be very helpful.

  • Web dynpro iviews

    Hi all,
I have couple of questions on web dynpro iviews.
Is it necessary to have sld configured for executing a web dynpro application as an iview in the portal.
My other question is how do you set the Jco connections for a web dynpro application. Please advice
thanks for your help in advance.
    regards
    Henry Ragl

    Hi Henry,
Yes,If you are developing Web Dynpro applications that connect to a back end with a static user, the use of an SLD means that you can, for example, avoid using passwords as part of the Web Dynpro application code, since the SLD utilizes a secure storage for the password.
You configure an SLD for a Web Dynpro application using the Visual Administrator.
Your Second Question Jco Connection Please click the link below.
To Create Jco Connection you have to go to your J2EE Engine.
http://localhost:50000/ and click the Web Dypro. And again click the Content Administrator remaining details are in the link below

  • BI Reports in Web Dynpro iView

    Hi Experts,
I need a favour from you in estimating small requirement with BI reports & Web Dynpro iView.
My first query, is it possible to build horizontal drilldown menus
Second query, is it possible link the BI Reports from Web Dynpro application
third query, is it possible to put both Web Dynpro iView & BI Reports view in one Portal iView.
If all the above are possible, I have a requirement that should fulfil the below
In a portl iView, I have several  BI Reports displays based on called report. But at the moment links to the report are in simple hyper link. Instead of hyperlinks, I want a horizontal menus as hierarchical/child structure. To acomplish this I chose, Web Dynpro as the best solution.
I have some development exeperience in Web Dynpro, but never encounterd such a requirement.
If any one can help me out in estimation, posibilites of the solution that would be a great help for me.
