How to crop on exact scale

I have series of jpg files. These jpg pictures are taken from a camera mounted on a firm stand and so there all the picts are taken exactly at the same spot.
Now I need to crop from each of the pictures, the same portion. In this regard the all the pictures are required to be cropeed exactly on the same place. Can anyone help me to solve this problem.

I've found the script works fine with various image modes and file formats including jpg. Since the OP is using CS3, OpenGL should not be a problem.
My best guess, not knowing anything about the image content is that auto align should be turned off - that can hang if the images are poor candidates for alignment. System resources might be an issue or permissions accessing the files. It has been a long time since I've used CS3, but I seem to remember an early issue with the script and that is why I mentioned the updated version.
I did not previously mention it, but there is another advantage in using this approach. Since the OP is interested in doing measurements the cropped stack is available for running any of the statistics routines in the extended version and for showing exactly where in the images content has changed with time.

I want one copy to be at the larger size and it does not need to be exact. I want a second print to exactly match the original at 15.92 inches wide. I don't see how to get this exact size print in AI and since I will be taking this to an outside printer I thought it would be nice if I knew how to get this exact size print.

Your description of what you have done and your requirements are not clear. All the responses thus far involve some degree of guessing.

What do you mean by "reproduced"? Traced it as vector paths in Illustrator? Reworked it in Photoshop?...?...?

Okay. You have a 10440 x 13920 pixel raster image.
Those proportions do not scale to 36 x 45 inches.
They scale to 33.75 x 45 or 36 x 48.
I want one copy to be at the larger size and it does not need to be exact.
What "larger size"?
What do you mean by "a copy"? How is this going to be printed? Offset lithography? One-off large format inkjet printer?...?
Assuming we're talking about offset, sheetfed, CMYK printing the raster image combined with some native Illusrator artwork, do this:
1. Open the image in Photoshop. Perform whatever raster retouching you want. Perform whatever color correction you want. When all rework of the image itself is done, be sure you end up in CMYK mode. Save the file in Photoshop format as "Original".
2. ReSIZE it to the desired print scale. Crop it to the area you want to print, plus at least .125" extra on any side that bleeds. ReSAMPLE it to 1-to-2 times the halftone screen ruling that will be used when it is printed. Flatten layers. Remove any extra channels. Sharpen it appropriately. Save in TIFF format, as "LargeMap".
3. Set up a new Illustrator document an appropriate size. "Appropriate size" depends upon the printing setup and whether there are bleeds. You can set the Artboard size to the size of the press sheet (assuming sheetfed printing), or to the trim size plus any bleed, plus room for any trim or fold marks you want to include.
4. Import the raster image. Position it correctly relative to the trim marks or guides. Put it on its own layer and lock the layter.
5. Draw the native Illustrator stuff on Layer(s) above it.
6. Save as Press Ready PDF.
I want a second print to exactly match the original at 15.92 inches wide.
For best results, open the cleaned up, full-res image you saved and named as "Original" in step 1. Then repeat steps 2 (saving it as "SmallMap") through 6.

You can scale a raster image that you have placed in Illustrator, just as you would scale any other object. For example, assuming the image you place is the original 10440 x 13920 scan. You could simply turn on the proportional link in the Transform palette, and set the width to, say 15.92 inches. But that would scale the image to a grossly oversampled 656 ppi.The excess data would simply get averaged away in the imaging process, resulting in a slight blurring and "muddying" of the image. (In other words, it would effectively undo your careful sharpening.)

Raster images should be sampled so as to achieve a ppi that is appropriate to the specific printing method, when scaled to the printed size. Too many people just offhandedly say to "make everything 300 ppi". That is just a corruption of the general rule-of-thumb mentioned above in step 2: Sample your images so that their effective ppi is 1-to-2 times the halftone ruling.
Assuming the common 150 lpi halftone, 225 ppi would be considered dead center of that range, not 300 ppi. 150 ppi is the "low side" of the range; 300 is the "high side". When a range is given, you don't just automatically set everything at the "high side"; otherwise, there would be no reason for providing a range. (If your tires say the maximum inflation is 45 psi, is that the pressure you always use?).
The "high side" is not necessarily for "best results"; it's to allow some fudge room convenience if you decide to scale the image larger on page. Neither is the "low side" necessarily "worst results" or "borderline results": It depends on the image. For example, there is no reason to set a soft-edged drop shadow at higher than the halftone ruling. There is no sharp detail to worry about preserving; the only concern is to avoid visible pixelation, which will not occur if sampled to the halftone ruling. (One round halftone dot cannot render the square shape of a single pixel.)

How to set and apply scale to counters

Hi,
I want to use MS Performance Monitor on Windows Server 8 R2 to monitor my ASP.NET MVC 4 web application on production server.
I want to include different counters related to memory, processor, no. of requests in ASP.NET applications, waiting time, execution time etc.
But their measuring criterias are different from each other. Some may be in percent values, some in actual values.
I am not sure how to set scale. When I change scale, the size of bars change on chart.
Should I divide or multiply the bar value with scale factor to arrive at the actual value?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
During real-time monitoring in Perfmon, you can choose the scale you want for each counter individually. For this one way is to double-click on the respective counter in the lower panel in perfmon. The 'Performance Monitor Properties' pop-up shows up.
Here you can choose the exact scale you need for this counter.
For the values, you will need to divide them by the scale to get the real values. Like a scale of 10.0 means something like, the counter value shown in graph is 10 times the actual.

New filters - how to crop and level?

I can see how to crop, using the motion filter, or to use one of the filters to mask off a certain portion of a clip. And I see where you can use the motion filter to rotate a clip a bit in order to correct for tripod tilt.
But I don't know how to use them together to get the result I want, which is a cropped clip with straight edges with a slightly rotated clip inside the straight edges. What I get is a tilted, cropped clip, the sort of thing you routinely do for a still photo in iPhoto.

You don't want to crop. You need to scale up. The more you rotate the more you'll have to scale up the image.

How to get the exact time when condition records has been created?

Can anyone thorw some light on - how to find the exact time on which a particular condition record has been created?
I have tried to get it from KONP {by inputting condition record number}, but unfortunately time is not tracked over there, but the date is tracked.

Go to display mode of the condition record through VK13 transaction from the condition record overview screen go to menu Environment >Changes>Click on Change report now system will take you to the Change Documents for conditions selection screen here you input proper selection data then execute now system will give the all the details here you can find the time also.

There is more than one method in which you can check for user-exits.The following method is used very often.
How to find the exact user-exit for your requirement.
1. You can check the user exists using transaction SE85.
2. Repository Information System -> Enhancements -> Customer exits
3. You can search the user-exits by package name.
4. Double click on each exit name to check the function module exits.
The procedure to find the package name.
Execute transaction SE93
Enter the tcode of the transaction for which you want to check the user exit.
Example: if you want to find the user-exit for purchase orders while changing, enter ME22n and press display.
You will get to see the package name
But you need to confirm that the user exit will get triggered at the appropriate event.
( example: you might want some validations to be done ON SAVE of a purchase order)
Checking if the user-exit is getting triggered or not.
1. Open the user exit function module (that you have got in step 4) in Tcode SE37.
2. Click on where used button. In the pop up that immediately appears choose only programs .
3. You will get a list of programs. Double click on the program name.
4. You will get the list of location where this function module user exit is used.
5. Place session break points at each of these location ( at each CALL FUNCTION statement)
6. Now go to your transaction ( say change purchase order tcode:Me22n) and check if the user exit is getting triggered on appropriate event.

You will either need to turn Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion 'on', or create a higher resolution versions of your images

Right-click on this direct link to ExactDuplicates and "download" or "save link as..." to a location of your choice. Double-click to the file to run it. You should get something a bit like this:
If your system will allow it my script will produce a progress bar so you can see what is going on, otherwise you will have to be patient, it will carry on working in the background.
After scanning for duplicates it then adds them to a new playlist. For large libraries this process can be quite slow. (Very slow if you also have old hardware like me.)
Finally you'll get a results window like this (from a different test run, as I didn't have time for the full one to finish when I was grabbing screenshots).
You can use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Leave at least one track behind from each repeated group and don't send anything to the recycle bin unless you are sure you have more than one physical copy.
The DeDuper script has several advantages over cleaning by hand. Automating the process allows preservation & amalgamation of ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. See this thread for more detail.

You should always make a bootable backup BEFORE you do major updates.
If things go wrong you can always revert to what you had previously.
You can do this with Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. (I use CCC for a long time, and I'm very satisfied about it, I can recommend it)
It used to be donation ware, but now you need to pay a small fee. Not a big price for always knowing you're safely backed up.

didn't need it myself since I waited to update, I always check this forums first to find out what are the issues/bugs. When there seems to be none or little problems, I update. I've learned my lesson long time ago. Patience is a good thing...
So, always backup. More important than your changing underwear daily. Time machine isn't enough. Make two bootable clones. One at your place and one at a different location (theft, fire, ...), you can always revert from there.

Under Integration, it shows me four options.
1) setup integ. with PA and Recruitment.
2) transfer qualif. from PA.
3) transfer qualif. from Recruitment.
4) transfer apparaisals from PA.
Also if I make the change the value from 0 to 1. Can I change it back again to zero.
Actually I have created a profincy scale and attached to qualification catalog. But when I try to change the qualifications for an employee through PA30 under IT0024, it still shows me scale being reflected. Also it shows me qualification which is not defined under a qualification catalog.
I dont know from where it is coming in dropdown under IT0024.
Please help me out for this.

I havent cropped that way before, but this should work. Double click the part of your clip you want to crop, in the viewer click the motion tap and select crop. You can adjust your parameters there, you should see your result in the canvas window. You will need to add markers if this effect ia for a portion of your clip.

You can go into the settings, accessibility and turn parallax motion off. THis is what makes it look 3D, like your icons are floating on your screen. It helps a bit because to have that 3D, your wallpaper needs to have an overlap off the edge of the screen.
ALso, if you go into the photos app, find your photo, send it to be wallpaper (the box with the arrow poking out of it) you will have a bit more control. The higher resolution your image is the more you will have.
Some have also reported some progress rotating their image. For example if your picture is landscape (wider than it is tall), when you go into the photos app, hold your iPad in portrait mode, taller than it is wide. Do the send to that way and see if it helps with you having more scaling room

I installed the TKTDS instrument drivers and had a look at the TKTDS Read Waveform.vi. I couldn't find any way to change the scale of the waveform graph. The data displayed should be the same that is measured by the scope. Try running the TKTDS 420 Getting Started VI that is located in:
All functions >> Instrument I/O >> Instrument Drivers >> Tktds4xx VIs >> Application Example VI's
I don't have access to a TKTDS 420 myself, but I hope the example VI displays the correct value. If it does then it is a matter of finding out what is different in your VI. Good luck.
