  • How Do I Reset Indicators in User Interface?

    I have a VI that has got out of control.  I have created several test sequences that were developed, proven and built into individual VIs.  I created a Main VI and placed (cut and paste) each invidual test VI into a sequencial Frame.  Long story short; The main screen looks good, but the test values and status indicators do not reset everytime the test is initiated (there is no loop).
    Question- How do I reset each of my indicators on my user interface when the test completes?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rick Horwitz

    Try the following: Got to "VI properties...execution". Now place a checkmark for "Clear indicators when called". That might be enough.
    (If you are looking for a programmatic solution create an invoke node in the first or last frame as desired, wire it to a reference to the current VI and select method "renintialize all to defaults".)

  • How to access all Flash components?

    Hello community,
    I have a main.mxml file which contains a tabNavigator. The tabNavigator opens different modules when different tabs are clicked. Outside this tabNavigator, I have a toggle button called BiggerText.
    When I click BiggerText, I want to change the fontsize in all the datagrids in all the modules.
    protected function biggerTextToggleBtn_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
         if(biggerTextToggleBtn.selected){
         s:DataGrid.setStyle("fontSize",14);
         biggerTextToggleBtn.label="Smaller Text";
    else{
         spark.components.DataGrid.AS3.setStyle("fontSize",12);
         biggerTextToggleBtn.label="BIGGER TEXT";
    Anybody has a clue how to do that?
    Bold text are possibilities I tried, which of course did not work.

    Hi,
    you can do all of what you said with JSF. ADF Faces provides drag and drop functionality (have a look at the Web Developer Guide) that allow you to move nodes within a tree. The drag and drop framework sends an event notification to the server with a reference to the changed node.You can also have context menus on a tree node to help users creating, deleting and editing a tree nodes. JavaScript isn't required at all, even if you wanted to drag and drop a row in a table on top of a tree node to create a new tree node.
    I just finished a book project in which we explained this usecase. As soon as I find the time, I'll follow up with a blog entry on this as it seems to be a common requirement. However, as mentioned, the web developer guide on OTN explains drag and drop in ADF Faces pretty well.
    However, if you choose the "Search" link above, choose JDeveloper and ADF as the product to search for and type drag and drop as the search string, then you get lots of code sample posted in the past to this forum

  • Problems with Flash CC user interface. Mainly I can't seem to click certain buttons and input fields on various modal windows. (eg. Scale and Rotate, Sound Properties,

    Hi there,
    I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues like this. I'm basically finding that a bunch of different buttons, fields, and tabs do not respond to my clicks. This seems to be spread out throughout the application.
    I've had to work around most of this by using the tab and arrow keys to navigate around modal buttons and fields... but it is a bit of a pain.
    There are some parts of the interface that can't be accessed via tabs and arrow keys... for example the ActionScript Tab on the Sound Properties window... there's no way to get to that... and clicking the tab itself does nothing, although I can see that the rollover state of the tab is activated.
    I've ended up having to run Flash CS6 in order to set the export classes of sound files and that's a bigger pain.
    Similar UI issues exist with other things... for example the color picker (eye dropper) seems to pick colors near, but not directly under itself.
    I'll be honest... I'm running on Windows 7... via boot camp... on a Mac Book Pro with retina display... so the issues could stem from this combination. However... Flash CS6 does not have any of these issues... so I can only think that it is a Flash CC issue.
    I appreciate any input you can provide. ( Although the obvious "run it on OSX instead" or "just use CS6" aren't the kinds of answers I'm looking for. I have my reasons for the setup. )
    Thanks.
    Cheerfully,
                           - JR

    Thank you for the suggestion. I've just done the uninstall, clean, re-install process.
    No luck.
    Even the first-run modal that comes up to choose Sync Settings has the same problem. All three buttons will go to a rollover state if I mouse over them... however, none of them are clickable. The only clickable item is the OS window close button. If I use the TAB key to move from button to button it moves the yellow button selector accordingly. If I press the ENTER key it responds correctly. For some reason clicking is not working on these parts of the Flash CC UI.
    *Note: This does not happen with all of the Flash CC UI elements... only some key ones (Save As - Confirm Overwrite, Symbol Properties and Swap Symbol dialog boxes also do not work with clicks, only with the keyboard navigation). Really a pain in the posterior.
    Again, I'm wondering if this is an issue particular to my hardware/os combination but I have had no luck finding answers online.
    Any other possible solutions out there?

  • How/where can I submit ipod user interface feedback?

    Subject asks the question.
    I've had my ipod for a few weeks now and use it every day on my bike commute. There are some things that bug the **** out of me when I try to do pretty simple things while in motion that could probably be pretty easy to solve in the UI. How do I let some one know?
    If, by some chance, this is the right place, here's what I'd like to see:
    1) An option that would allow you to easily go from the top of a list to the bottom (or back). It sure would make going through long lists easier. If scrolling up from the top of the list brought you to the bottom (and vice versa), that would work.
    2) A quick option to bring you back to the last played (or currently playing) song if you've navigated through menus and playlists to something far away. Also useful if a playlist ends and you don't happen to have "repeat" on. alternately:
    2a) When a playlist ends, how about if the ipod resets to the playlist choice in the "playlists" menu? Going back to the main menu makes very little sense to me. Hitting play again just starts playing songs from the master list. Really annoying on my bike rides.
    3) "On the go" is really cool. It sure would be nice if you could add a song to the list while it's playing instead of navigating back one menu to find the song name.

    http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html
    Thank you for the link.
    You use your iPod while riding a bike on the road?
    Do you want to die and not even know it?
    Yes, I do. I suppose you want to die and know that it's coming.
    Please don't be judgmental.

  • How to design the user interface for Indesign cs6 plugin ?

    Designing user interface using custom c++ library(SDK) for pluging is very tedious work .so when I search the net than i found that we can do it using Adobe Creative Suite Extension Builder but i dont know how to use it to develop user interface for plugin and to how to enable event handling in this UI .I read lots of document regarding this on net but they all created lots of confusion in my mind  so can anyone help me to know steps which i must follow to develop plugin using this or whatever technology (action script,java script etc)

    If you want to develop Extensions using Creative Suite Extension builder then i think this is not the right forum for you. Please post your specific queries regarding this at the below mentioned link
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/cs_sdk
    To give a brief of how to develop UI using JS you can use ScriptUI to develop your UI, it is a fast and OS independent approach to UI development. The UI created using JS is native in look. You can refer the following link for some help on ScriptUI
    http://www.kahrel.plus.com/indesign/scriptui.html
    I don't have much info regarding development in CS SDK, but i can point you to one more direction of dev called as hybrid plugins wherein the UI is created in CS SDK, and appropriate methods are exposed from the C++ plugin(enhancing the script object model) to be called up by the CS code for too and fro communication between these two modules of code.
    Hope these pointer help you in getting started.

  • Modify User Interface

    Hi.
    How could I modify the Admin User Interface, to remove those Tabs which I don't want displayed, whenever the Admin User signs into IDM?
    This is the main Admin User Interface :
    HOME ---  ACCOUNTS ---  PASSWORDS  ----  WORK ITEMS  ---- SERVER TASKS
    Where and how can I modify/customize this Interface?
    Thanks

    I understand that you want to remove tabs, but i don't have working (and tested) code to do this.
    I juste give you a working code to add tabs. You can modify it to make a code to remove tabs but you have to work on it and search method name.
    code to add subtabs:
    p.TASKS_PAGE.addSubPage(MY_PAGE);
    code to remove subtabs (probably like this but not tested):
    p.TASKS_PAGE.delSubPage(MY_PAGE); or :
    p.TASKS_PAGE.removeSubPage(MY_PAGE); or :
    p.TASKS_PAGE.deleteSubPage(MY_PAGE); or another...
    and to remove tabs (probably like this but not tested):
    p.delPage(ACCOUNTS_PAGE); or :
    p.deletePage(ACCOUNTS_PAGE); or :
    p.removePage(ACCOUNTS_PAGE); or another...
    it's juste one lead from a tested and working code which make the the same type of operation.
    I hope it will help you...

  • Learning to write user interface

    Dear All,
    With zero experience in writing LV user interface, we needs to write a User-Interface program for end-user data entry of "structured command script" (text with specific keyword_command)
    Basically, we need to have the LV equivalent of some basic window commands, like
    list box for user to select one from several keyword_commands
    push button  to 'enter' 'save' etc.
    radio button to select options (like inch vs. mm)
    a graphic plot showing the  'execution'    (like the x-y grid inspection (template).vi in the motion find-example)
    drop down menu (like File in windows)
    Grateful pointers for beginner's learning resources on user interface.
    Thanks in advance

    Depending on your version, all of these things exist in the LabVIEW palettes, you just have to place them on your front panel. Just look through the different palette, since there aren't many palettes. If you want controls which look like the MS ones, go for the Dialog Controls palette, which uses OS specific controls. The tricky bit is the menu, which can be controlled through code, or from the Edit menu.
    After placing all things on your FP, however, the real trick is connecting the code to those things. Here is a standard passage I provide to beginners (although I don't know how much of that applies to user interface):
    To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with and here are some tutorial videos. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
    In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).
    You can try searching this site for a presentation called "the good, the bad and the ugly", which deals in UI design, but is not a tutorial. You can also try the LAVA forums UI board (I believe they have one), but read what's there instead of bombarding them with questions. Above all, this will have to take your time. You can't write an LV program without learning LV (and that's relatively easy).
    Try to take over the world!

  • How can I make a flash user interface with buttons to open up and navigate other flash files?

    Hello I would like to make a user interface that will serve as a tool to load and unload other flash materials like a slideshow. I would like to make a kind of slideshow with Flash that opens up other flash files which could be around 10-15 slides (frames) long each. I would want to ask if there is any way to make a link between navigation and other slides easily. And if there are ways, what action codes should I use for this. Thank you very much.

    All you need to do is load a swf into the main swf and target it with whatever controls you intend.  If you are using AS3 then you could use the Loader class to load the swf and then target the Loader.content with your control buttons.

  • How to use own style sheet in user interface templates to change buttons, fields look

    I want to use my own style sheet to change the appearance of buttons, form fields etc. while applying my own user interface template. I know I can create an unstructured UI template to change logos, body color etc. but how do I apply css to buttons, fields generated by the portal components form wizard ?
    If this is not possible, how do I create my own form and get the same functionalities of a wizard generated form ?
    Thanks.

    Mrinal,
    I have solved that problem fortunately.
    What I did was to create my own unstructured user interface template. In the unstructured UI template, you can use style.
    for example, in between the <head> tags, write <style> tages and create own classes for buttons, textboxes etc.
    Then write a javascript to assign those classes to the buttons. Call the javascript function on OnLoad event in <BODY> tag.
    That will do the job.
    for example you have a style class called buttonclass for buttons.
    <script langauge=javascript1.1>
    function setstyle(form) {
    for (var i=0; i<form.length; i++) {
    if (form.elements.type == 'button') {
    form.elements[i].className = "buttonclass";
    </script>
    <BODY onLoad = "setstyle(document.forms[0]);">
    hope this helps.

  • How can I display step info in User Interface with Tracing Disabled?

    I'm trying to modify the CVI Operator Interface application to update the execute panel with some step information during the execution of the program. i.e. I want to display the measurement, high & low limits during the run WHEN TRACING IS DISABLED. (Doing this, when tracing is enabled is easy, all you do is access the step record that's been constructed (I can cope with that!))
    I've successfully implemented a User defined execution event to signal the User Interface application when the current step is a result (using TS_UIMsg_UserMessageBase etc. I'm posting a UI Message in the Process Model under the ProcessModelPostStep so that I will only display if its a result step.) I've added a user defined
    entry in the execute.c module execution event switch statement which will call a function in the exedisp.c module to update the display. However, I don't have a context to the step that I can use. (I can't use e.g. the exeRec record since this is only completed with the context if tracing is enabled.) I've got a handle to the correct panel to write the information to, but how do I get the context to the current step when tracing is disabled?
    Regards,
    Brian

    Hi,
    no problem - btw, if you wanted to acheive this in TS 1.x, you could always write to a local variable with the ActiveX reference for the step concerned, and then use the msg reference that you have in the OI within the UI Message handler, to dig through to the Execution ->Sequence File->Sequence->Locals, or Execution->Thread->SequenceContext (and you can get almost anywhere from that).
    Hope that helps
