How to customised web Report page?

Hi,
I am using Report Server 6i and I wish to customize the report parameter page and the result page so that I can add in buttons such as "close" and etc. Otherwise, the report pages always is covering the entire screen and my end users do now know how to close the screen.

Thanks for your reply .
we have comments column in our report . for each we have added one blank cell to give the comments purpose .
But Multiple Users are trying to edit the report same time so who ever saved the report those comments only available .
To avoid multiple users to edit the same report we want to implement the report locking mechanism similar to Universe Locking mechanism in Designer .

Hi,
Go to CCM,select the Webi inteligence report server and in the property of the service add -trace at in the last.
to activate the ConnectionServer traces:
...\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\cs.cfg
And change the line <Traces Active="No"> to <Traces Active="Yes">

How to publish Web parts page in Share point server 2010

Hi All,
I have created Web parts page in share point server 2010. it working fine but it always displayed with Ribbon controls and other tool bars, if there any possibility to publish web parts page, here user able to view content only not editing option.
I already enabled 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' in site collection level and 'SharePoint Server Publishing' in site level.
Here i only find publish menu for pages not for web parts page.
Kindly advice how to publish web parts pages.

Just remove Edit permission of users on that page, then they wont be able to see edit options

How to use the SCOM 2012 Web Reporting page

Hello all-
   We are on SCOM 2012 SP1. I just have a general question about reporting. I know there is a "Reporting" tab in the real, locally installed, SCOM Operations Console software. That part I get. I see that there
are many pre-made reports the for me to run. For example under Microsoft Server 2008 Operating System (Monitoring) folder there is a
Performance History report. When I double click on it, it takes me to the report window where I can click
Add Object and add a server and then click
Run.
This is pretty simple in concept.   BUT very few people at my company have the full Operations Console installed on their machine. And as I'm sure you know, the SCOM Web Console does not have a Reporting Tab. So they have to use the
SCOM Reporting website to run such reports. I found that you can get to this page at the url:
http://<reporting server>/Reports
This does bring up the Reporting console. On the list I do see a Report.Windows.Server.2008.PerformanceHistory listed. So this surely seems to be the equivalent from my screenshot above.   However, it's not even close to user friendly like
the Reporting area in the SCOM operations console software. There's multiple fields at the top. All of which are required, and almost none of which have dropbox or other ways to help you fill them in. I have no idea what to put into these boxes or the format
to use.
What am I missing here? Is there a more user friendly interface anywhere? In an ideal world, I'd really love to have a user interface where I can post the links to a few popular reports, like CPU and Disk Space for example. Then ideally
all the user would have to do is select their servers and the time frame and that's all.   Which really is what you do in the Operations Console software.   So isn't is it that easy in the web reporting tool? Is there a guide or how-to
section somewhere I'm missing? Or just a more friendly looking way to get at this information?

Well, my first screen shot above is squished, so you really can't see it. But what I'm saying is that the same report in the SCOM software has the level of configuration I want on it.   It allows you to pick the date range and add objects
to it, then you can click on Run.     However when I access the same report on the reporting console, it has all these extra fields. None of which I know how to fill in properly.
I would ultimately like my customers to be able to do exactly that in the web version. Pick their server and their date range and run it.   There are not likely going to be too many reports like you're mentioning which I can completely configure
before hand, so they just click on the link to have it run. Most times I'd like my users to at least be able to select a server name.
Any idea how I would simplify the web version of the report? Or why they look so very different?

How to Refer WebI Report in SAP Portal

I want to show one of the report created in Web Intelligence rich client in SAP portal. I have done the SSO part and imported the par files and changed the configuration in web.xml as per the documentation.
Now ! I have developed the report and it is available in my local machine in UserDocs folder. How can i refer this report in SAP portal now. What r the parameters i should provide ?
I have created the BO Iview in portal by selecting the BO Iview template, but couldn't understand what parameters to provide and how to refer my report which is there in my local machine.

First step : transporting "par" files and epa files into portal.
imported   "com.businessobjects.pct.sap_pik.epa" file in portal
         deployed "com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par" in portal
         deployed "BusinessObjectsKM.par" in portal
Second step Created System Object and its parameters:

Third step creating Iview

Can't run sample appliation. When I run the appliation, login using "demo/#lower_case_workspace_name#", the browser comes with error message:

How to run webi report automatically with the current date/system date in webi report

Hi Friends,
I have a webi report which has a date prompt now. Based on the selection that user makes while running a report, he will get the related data for that particular date selection. Now I want to make that date prompt automated that is the report should run automatically based on the system date daily on scheduling.
I want it to run current day automatically without have to go in and pick the date in webi report. I will be scheduling the webi report. Can you please let me know how to achieve this functionality of running a webi report automatically with a system date.
Please let me know if I couldn't make you understand so that I will write with an example.

Hello Bhasakar,
1.Create sysdate object in the universe
2.Create another query in webi and select only sysdate object
3.In the original query drag the Day object in the filter pane and choose the "List of values" from another query.and select the sysdate object from the second query.
So your report always will run for sysdate...

How to display Web reports in blackberry

I have to display the web reports avaialable on our portal on the blackberry.
How can I achieve it?
Should I install anything on my blackberry?
Should I develop web applications seperately for displaying on blackberry or can I use the existing once developed using WAD and that are available on our portal?
we are using BI 7.0 support pack 15.

Hi Prasad,
yes you can configure the blackberry device with the SAp platform to display reports.We do this with the help of crystal reports.The reports configuration is must to use them on your blackberry or PDAs.
The full report is not displayed in the device .So for this we need to configure the reports in parts.The are various browsers used to browse the report on the balckberries.They are mportfolios and Java and com parts viewer.There are documentation available on the SAP forum.Please get the instal;lation guide and you may configure the blackberry.

How to get the Report Page count using crystal reports 2008

Hi,
I have to implement a business logic where in i will have to display the no. of pages generated for the report
Say for e.g. crytal report that's generated spans 25 pages in the report.
Then i will have to display a message to the user after the report generation something like "25 Pages generated"
So, how would i get this report page count so that i can fetch the value and display the same to the user.
Any sample code snippet would be of great help.

I am using crystal reports 2008 and i visited the link forwarded in your previous mail and got the solution for getting the lastpagenumber of the report.
nPages = crReport.FormatEngine.GetLastPageNumber(New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ReportPageRequestContext)
but, i don't find FormatEngine property for ReportDocument object.
I just wanted to know whether this property is availale in crystal reports 2008 or should i even install any service packs for this.

How to schedule webi report using OLAP Universe

Hi all,
I am using the webi report which is based on BW query or cube.
I want to schedule the webi report which should get refreshed automatically.
how to set the date parameter for that webi report at universe or report level.
or shall i should create a variable at bw side i.e., (sysdate -1) and tht variable should i use in the report or any idea..
i am using BOE 3.1 SP3

Hi,
it won't be at "report-level" . those local variables are formulae used for formatting, not for user inputs / responses.
Easiest is to use the SAP KEYDATE variable in the BEx query.
This SAPVAR will come through as a WebI prompt like any other, and has a default value of sysdate (if not answered differently)
As for the Scheduling mechanism, this is the same as always - done in Infoview / BILaunchPad - select the webi instance, and click Schedule .

How to save webi report created using InfoView into my local PC

I am creating a Web Intelligence document using infoview and once the report is ready, i want to save it in my local PC for later refresh. How can i save that using Infoview ? I don't want to save the report in the server(repository).

After saving WebI reports to Local PC also, one can't see them COZ of .wid extension, to view them again we need WebI installed.
You can Save them to Excel or PDF or CSV to your local PC and Schedule them to get latest data as well.

As already explained by others, you can use opendocument URL for that report located in CMS and show it as a link in the webpage.
