Operating expenses are often allocated differently in financial accounting than in cost accounting. If, for example, an expense incurred in external accounting covers a whole year, you must assign a proportion of the whole to each individual cost accounting period. You distribute irregularly-occurring expenses, according to cost-origin, on the months in which they are incurred. This allows you to avoid irregularities within cost accounting. Costs allocated in this manner are termed accrued costs.
The even distribution of a one-off expense is referred to as time-based accrual calculation. With the aid of the accrual calculation functions, you can take these costs into account in the Controlling component.
Configuration: You can calculate accruals in two ways.
You can post accruals in the Financial Accounting component (FI) using recurring entries and pass the accruals along to the Controlling component using a special cost element for accrual allocation. Here, the accruals (or imputed costs) are calculated in financial accounting, not internal accounting.
You can calculate accruals in the Controlling component based on the costs posted there. To do so you can use the following approaches:
- Accrual calculations using the percentage method
- Accrual calculations using the target=actual method
If you use either of these procedures, you must ensure that subsequent postings are made in the Financial Accounting component if you want to display the accruals postings there as well.
Actions
To execute accrual calculation, you must define the necessary data and carry out the following steps, according to the accrual calculation method you are using:
For accrual cost calculation using the percentage method, you must first create an overhead structure (see: Defining the Percentage Method).
For accrual calculation using the target=actual or the plan=actual methods, you must create the corresponding accrual cost elements. You must also carry out cost element and activity type planning (see: Maintain Data for Target=Actual Accrual Calculation).
You can maintain data for an overhead structure, as well as for target=actual credits, during system configuration and for the application component itself. You must enter this data as controlling area dependent.
This controlling area dependent data includes:
For the percentage method
- Calculation bases
- Overhead percentage rates
- Credit objects
For the target=actual method
- Target=actual credits

    ePrint is a free feature include on most of our wireless printers that are e-all-in-one enabled. It allows you to register your printer on HP's website http://www.eprintcenter.com and create an account. Once an account has been created you can enable the web services feature, after connecting to a valid network with internet access, which will print off a registration code you can use to add the printer to your account and customize an email address for the printer. This allows you to print to the printer from virtually anywhere simply by sending an email to the printers email address and when it is received it will print.
    Most of these printers are also Airprint enabled meaning you can print locally from the same network on the iPad, iPod, and iPhone (version 4.3.2 and higher) by using the built in "Print" command in the idevices.

    I've been trying to customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report.
    First i followed the instructions in Note:183131.1 -

    But of course the OWA_UTIL.REDIRECT_URL in this solution did not work (in a portlet) and i found the metalink document 228620.1 which described how to fix it.
    So i followed the "fix" in the document above and now my output is,..
    "Portlet 38,70711 responded with content-type text/plain when the client was requesting content-type text/html"
    So i search in Metalink for the above and come up with,...
    Bug 3548276 PORTLET X,Y RESPONDED WITH CONTENT-TYPE TEXT/PLAIN INSTEAD OF TEXT/HTML
    And i've read it and read it and read it and read it and can't make heads or tails of what it's saying.
    Every "solution" seems to cause another problem that i have to fix. And all i want to do is customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report. Please,...does anyone know how to do this?

    My guess is that it only shows the number of rows it has retrieved. I believe the defailt is for it to only retrieve 50 rows and as you page through your report it retrieves more. So this would just tell you how many rows was retireved, but probably not how many rows the report would contain if you pages to the end. Oracle doesn't really have a notion of total number of rows until the whole result set has been materialized.

    If you have a tool, try removing the battery cover and chech out. Some times the camera pin may have been misplaced. If so, you can fix it yourself.

    I need to fetch the list of cost centers in the cost center group against the cycle.
    Is there any table which will store the list of cost centers against the cycle?
    or else, what I was thinking is use of BAPI BAPI_COSTCENTERGROUP_GETDETAIL, which will give me the list of cost centers,
    but we need to pass the controlling area + cost center grp to fetch the cost centers from BAPI, I have controlling area with me but not the cost center grp name, only I have Cycle info lke cycle name, segment name, seq number. so how to find the cost center grp name from the cycle name?

    Our client needs some additional attributes on a sales order acknowledgement print ( Preview and Print ) output.
    The current layout is based on ONTORDDFFN.xml and ONTORDDFN.xsd
    How to customize the same to include additional attributes like Territory and Shipping instructions etc.These new fields are not there in xsd or the xml.

    Per Oracle you need to implement the method "getPrintExtensionXMLFragment" of  PrintExtensionObject.java. Oracle has given the flexibility that getPrintExtensionXMLFragment can either return a XMLFragement or a sql query.. If the code in getPrintExtensionXMLFragment returns a string which starts with "select" Applications code will execute that query and the corresponding XML will be appended to the main XML. This needs to be written in a CustomClass and then set to the Profile " OM: Printed Document Extension Class Name".
    I would like to know if somebody has extensively added columns at the different levels (header, lines, Addresses, Line Discounts, Charges) and the same additional cols. were implemented in the CustomClass. Let me know.

    I'm not sure of what it's exactly called, but my whole screen (including the black part that attaches the screen to the keyboard) is in bad condition.     This is an international community.  Prices vary from country, state, city, etc. 
    You should call the repair shop of your choice and ask for an estimate.  Make sure the estimate includes taxes, labor costs, etc.
    Remember, no one can give you an exact figure until the repair techs physically examine & run diagnostics on your computer to confirm what is wrong w/it.

    I recently accidentally dropped my 13" Macbook Pro and got two small dents/scratches on the aluminum front of the computer. It's really bothering me and I would like to get it fixed but I'm not sure how much it would cost bringing it to the Apple store. I've read some answers and it says that the price range is between $626 - 1,200. I have AppleCare BUT I'm not sure that AppleCare will cover cosmetic blemishes. It's a bit worrisome and I don't wish to spend so much money.
    I would prefer not to exchange the computer because I know you can do that but I highly doubt Apple would allow me to get a new computer (considering the scratches are rather really small). The scratches are really just bothersome.
