How to customize JSP page in iSupport

I have worked on OA framework. But I have got a requirement to customize iSupport page in oracle apps. There is a Next button on page, I want to call one DB function by passing 2 parameters to this function. Get the result from that function and show the error message to user based in result of function.
This page is JSP page. I got the JSP page name from URL in browser. I view the source of that page and found following statement..

Hi Paraq,
if you want to extend a seeded Oracle E-Business suite page you should use the personalization framework combined with a custom controller. Personalisations are done via the ebusiness suite user interface and involve no coding and allow you to intergate custom components into the app.
Controller extensions are not recomended in E-Business suite however they are commonly implemented. You can personalise the page/region/table controller etc... to call your custom controller when they are invoked. See the OAF Personalization/Development guide for details on how to do this.
One problem you will have here is that if you want to modify an existing controller you will need the source code which would probably mean getting an Oracle consultant or you could decompile the class files, failing that if you can bypass the existing controller by personalizing a different aspect of the page i.e. a region or table that doesnt already have a controller then you might get away with it.

How to raise create role request in OIM 11gR2?

How can I let a user to raise a create role request in OIM 11gR2?
If I assigned the Role Viewer or Role Authorizer admin role to the user, the create button for role is disabled.
If I assign the user as Role Administrator, the role will be directly created without raising any request.
If I assign the user as SPML Admin, the create button is enabled, but after filling the form and clicking the "save" button, an exception will be thrown saying "IAM-3054100 : The logged-in user AA10127 does not have createRole permission on Role entity."

You can customize the title, maximum permitted hits, and other aspects of the presentation by modifying a copy of this file.
It would be great if someone had a better explanation of how to really customize the details.

Within the "config" folder where Output Designer was installed are a bunch of xxxxxxx.ics files. These are text files and there is one for every possible printer the software is set up to work with. You determine which one you are using by using the "Presentment Targets Selection" window and noting the text in brackets [] at the end of the selected printer. This is the file name you would be wanting to modify (just add ".ics").
Within the ICS file are a bunch of "PageSize" definitions for each size that can be selected in the Format/Page window. The physical size is the "PageSize" entry. The "PageSelect" entry contains the PCL (or whatever) commands to select the page (input tray, paper type, whatever). The "PageMargins" entries effectively define the
printable area by specifying where printing is to start and end. For example "0.25 0.25 8.22 10.80" states the printing will start 1/4 inch down, 1/4 inch over and will stop 8.22 inches over and 10.80 inches down. The values are from the top left corner of the physical piece of paper.
Once you have finished modifying the file you must use the Presentment Targets Selection window, highlight the printer, and click on the Font Setup button. You don't need to change anything. This will cause the software to rebuild the corresponding ICF file which is what the software actually uses when compiling a form.

How to Customize home page of Oracle BPM Worklist

Hello all,
We are using SOA 11.1.1.5.
When we open BPM Worklist http://IPAddress:7003/integration/worklistapp by default it is showing Home page(home.jspx) and it is showing 3 tabs :- My Tasks, Initiated Tasks, Administrative Tasks.
(1) Our requirement is we want to hide Initiated Tasks and Administrative Tasks. We only want to show My Tasks tabs to the user.
I tried but couldn't find any solution.
Now when the user clicks on any task, It opens the task details in preview pane below and also it opens the same task details in new window.
(2) One more requirement is to disable the preview pane which shows the task details below.

When i searched in deployments in 7001/console I found 1 worklist.war deployed.
I found it at Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\soa_server2\tmp\_WL_user\worklistapp\r8n7fr\worklist.war
I also found home.jspx file at the location
Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\soa_server1\tmp\_WL_user\worklistapp\960vxc\war\home.jspx
which is using some page templates.
Can we modify these jspx pages as per our requirement ?
How can we achieve this?

How to customize a page using JHeadstart?

Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3 and have enabled JHeadstart on it. While developing a simple application in BC4J I have created two VO'S which have been put up at same level in Application Module.Now Only one VO say EmployeeInfo is getting displayed on Jheadstart page but the other VO is not displayed under it.When I am doing drag n drop from Data Control Palate for the second VO it is not doing any binding.
So to recapitulate above I able to see only one VO after running the page and not the other VO is displayed.
Plz Help me out of this problem

To get two groups on the same page, they either must have a master-detail relationship, or they must be sibling detail groups.
If you want to get two unrelated groups on the same page, you can work around this limitation by creating a "dummy" top level group, based on a dummy data collection ("select 1 from dummy" for example), and then move the two groups under these dummy group as detail groups, and then check the Same Page check box.

It is not about the main page itself, but it shows you how to customize jtflogin.jsp, like how to (Customize Login Page/Change the Logo/Add a Background Logo .. etc).
For customizing the login screen (AppsLocalLogin.jsp in 11.5.10.2), you can find this file under $COMMON_TOP/html

Customize error-pages in portal

Hello!
How to customize error-pages (e.g. error 500, 404, 403...) in an application
running within the portal (e.g. BEx Web Analyzer) ?
Via the visual administrator it is possible to customize error-pages for
a single applications (=> Server => Services => Web Container => choose an
application => Btn. View => Tab. Pages => Tab. Error Pages)
- but how to costomize all error-pages for all applications running within the portal ?

Hi madhvika,
One way you can modify the standard error msgs is using Custom Error msgs which you can define in the web.xml deployment descriptor of your application.

you can use the first method - Error msgs mapped to error codes.You can create your own static html and write your own customised error msg in that instead of the usual 404 error : Resource not found.
I think the standard error msgs are not stored in portal...not sure though.I think they are defined in the J2EE engine as parameters.Have to chek on that once.
Or probably if u have KM installed then these error msgs can be directed to a file stored in KM and the respective msg can be displayed.....again storing as static html.

Please try the following steps to display the cover sheet and replace it with custom one:
How to change a portfolio’s initial view setting to show the cover sheet (and hide the contents):
Open a PDF portfolio and run the following JS in the console:

Save the portfolio, close and re-open.
The cover sheet will now be displayed when opening the portfolio.

Also, most likely if you want the coversheet displayed when opening the portfolio, and do not want the default cover sheet:
Here are the steps to replace the default cover sheet:
Open the Portfolio.
Perform a View > Portfolio > cover sheet to open the cover sheet.
Open the Pages panel for the cover sheet.
Right click on the cover sheet page in the pages panel, select “Replace Pages”.
Replace the cover sheet page with the desired cover from a page in another pdf.
Save the portfolio.
