That's a hardware question what would be best answered in the forum for the system version you're using, either Mac OS X v10.7 Lion, Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard.

I am trying to figure out how to cut and paste in elements 11

On picture A, use one of the selection tools (e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, etc.) to select the object
Go to Edit menu>copy to place the object on the clipboard
    Open picture B
    Go to Edit menu>paste
Get the move tool out of the toolbox, and position the object and resize with the corner handles of the bounding box

  • Cut and paste with Fascinate

Anybody know how to cut and paste text with Fascinate?

I haven't been able to get it to work everytime, but like in text's, just touch and hold at the beginning or end of where you would like to copy. Then, after a moment, a box will open up with options to select text, select all text, and a couple of others. If you only want to select a portion of it, just select, select text, and and then with only one finger at a time, move the highlight field to cover what you want to select. When you're done highliting, press and hold again, and select copy. Then go to where ever you would like to paste it, and press and hold the screen again, and select paste, and it will insert the text that you copied. It doesn't work the best, and like I said too, not in all areas of the phone.

The two most commonly reported causes of not being able to right-click, Copy and Paste are AVG Safe Search and Yahoo Toolbar. ~~red:'''Disable them and test'''~~ ( Tools > Add-ons > Extensions , locate and click on each of the add-ons, click Disable, when both are disabled, click Restart Firefox in the Extensions window.)
If the right-click context menu allows copy/cut and paste with the two add-ons disabled, then one or both of them is causing the issue. Re-enable the extensions one-at-a-time, restart Firefox and test. When the problem returns, you will know which is the culprit.

In iMovie '09, once I've formatted a subtitle to look the way I want, how can I repeatedly cut and paste that subtitle so that I don't need to redo the formatting for every subsequent subtitle?
I realize this is probably trivial once you see it ... but it's not obvious to me. Couldn't find it in Help or in Apple's FindOutHow movie.

  • How to cut and paste in word documents

I've never owned an "apple" product and I bought a MacBook Air to

Cut and Paste in a word doc?
    Attaching Doc's to an email
closing the 'bookmark' section on safari
Is there a good "Quick Reference Guide" online so I don't have to go through trial and error or be on an 'apple support' asking silly questions. My frustration after 2 hrs is making me have 'buyers remorse'.
    Thanks,

Many of the windows conventions are similar, but substitute use of the  Command key for Alt key in windows when using a Mac..
    http://www.danrodney.com/mac/
The big differences is Apple specified to programmers early on what these conventions would be and they are consistent (with few exceptions) on all Mac Apps.

  • How to Cut and Paste a file on Mac

    Hey guys,
Nice to meet you here. I am a new Mac Book Pro 13" Retina Display user with OS X Yosemite. I just switched to Mac from Windows last week.
So far I have a great experience using Mac. However one thing is troubling me. How do I cut and paste a file? I've tried command+x and command+v but it doesnt work. I can copy and paste though by using command+c and command+v.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Arief

    nice pick...........
I mean that i dont have to cut and paste just data in
that files, but i have to cut and paste whole file
    from one location to other.
Yup, if you need to do that physically you walk over to the filing cabinet, get the file out, cut it to pieces, take the pieces to the new location, glue them back together, and put the recreated file in the new filing cabinet.

  • How to cut and paste long Word document into text generator?

I have a very long list of attributions in a Word document.
When I cut and paste it into the "Sample Text" area, it goes in fine.
But when I try to look at it ... either as simple text or, preferred, scrolling ... I only get parts of the document.
I can correct it by adding a 'return' in the middle of every few words.
But my document is so long, it would take a long time to do that one by one.
Solutions sought: How to just import the whole document and have it scroll, zip-zip?!

Thank you DH and skalaki, I had not known of the Boris title generator. Funny, I had looked in the FCE online manual until 'titling' and editing text ... didn't see mention of that.
In any case ... I've now found it and trust I'll be able to figure it out.
Since skalaki was first with the answer, I awarded the 'solved' there. DH's comments were further helpful.

  • How to cut and paste multiple items

How can you cut and paste multiple items on the clipboard?

Just go to Security & Privacy, unlock it with your admin password...
...and under the "General" tab allow applications... tick "Anywhere". After the install, I'd change it back. You can also just control-click the app/installer and select "Open" - you'll get a warning that the app is from an unidentified developer, but it will open.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • How to cut and paste a picture into a shape in Illustrator CS4

In illustrator CS4 I am trying to cut and paste a picture into a shape. In freehand the shortcut was so easy. I know there is one in Illustrator but cant remember what it is, can anyone tell me?

    K8,
What Steve said, with the addition that you may get rid of the outlying parts, by:
    1) With the mask selected, in the Transparency palette dropdown select anything but Normal,
    2) Object>Flatten Transparency, no need to change options,
unless you have withheld information and really want to distort the picture to fit the shape, in which case you should select both shape and picture and Object>Envelope Distort>Make with Top Object.
The procedure 1) - 2) is destructive in case of vector artwork but makes no difference with raster images, and it makes it easier to avoid accidental/unwanted selection outside the  Clipping Mask.

  • How to Cut and Paste (and delete)

So I doubled down last month and got a new Bold and a Playbook.  This despite poor reviews and RiM's  bad press.
The reason is that I wanted my Playbook to replace my notebook when at home and traveling.  Well, I blew out my knee playing sports and have been working from home post-surgery.  Playbook is great for couch while knee cup and iced.
My very big frustration - and it really affects my work capability - is the Playbook's capability at cutting and pasting.  I need to be able to cut and paste links and text and edresses from emails and internet and msword to each other.  Is this possible outside word to go?  How?  Relatedly, I need to be able to delete and edit the text of forwarded emails, so I can remove ill-advised intermediate commentary.
For a tablet whose competitive advantage MUST be ease of business use, these are big issues.  If these capabilities aren't there on the Playbook, I would implore RIM to address and other forum users to lobby for same.  RIM has to get these kinds of issues right to survive.
    Thanks in advance.
    P.S. - I searched topics and didn't find answer.
P.P.S. - I also badly need the ability to redline or mark my changes in word to go.  Crucial!

Looks to me like the decision was made to disable copy and paste in bridged apps maybe for security reasons. Seems to be a bit erratic too as some discussions include people that claim to be able to do it, maybe it's OS version dependant. Would have been nice if we could have been given the option though!
To me it's issues like this that make the Playbook seem more like a beta level rushed to market device than a fully developed business tool. And now RIM can't even get the functions that would make what is great hardware truly useful within a reasonable timescale!
