How to de authorise devices

How to de authorise when its battery has died

I do not understand. You authorize/deauthorize computers, not iPods.

  • How to update authorised device on Ipod touch

I have recently changed laptops and I have changed the settings in i-tunes so that only the new laptop and my ipod touch are authorised devices. However, despite re-booting and re-syncing, my ipod touch still shows the old laptop as its only authorised device and will not completely update or sync by wi-fi...
    any suggestions please??

What exactly happens when you try to sync via USB?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Rented movies downloaded to an Apple TV can't be transferred to any other device.

  • Can you set bluetooth to AUTOMATICALLY authorise device

    Hi
On my old phone I could go down my list of previously used bluetooth devices and select "authorise device" meaning each time my phone came in the vicinity or range of that device again it would automatically connect. I only use my bluetooth with my car's inbuilt handsfree bluetooth kit which I know the Iphone can only currently be used to connect to. I can connect fine to it manually by going into my Iphone bluetooth settings, see my car's bluetooth listing in my phone and manually click it to connect to it. Unfortunately I have to do this each time I wish to connect to it, even if I leave my bluetooth running on my phone all the time. Is there a way to automatically connect to it similar to "authorise device" as used on most phones?
Is an update required to get this functionality? I am weary of doing any updates following the negative things I have heard but am willing to give anything a go to get the bluetooth connecting automatically to my handsfree.
Thank you very much for any help and information.
ps My handsfree kit is factory inbuilt on my Nissan 350z and as mentioned my iphone can see it fine (as my old phone could) - I just need to know how to "authorise this device".

Been thinking about your problem, and the only thing I can suggest is this, you won't lose any data, just your time:
    1. Make sure that itunes, under preferences, is set to NOT AUTO SYNC when an ipod/iphone is connected.
    2. Connect your phone and right click it in the device pane & perform a backup.
    3. Disconnect your phone, plug it into an outlet, not your computer, under settings, reset, select ERASE ALL CONTENT & SETTINGS. Don't panic, you're not gonna lose any data. Let the process complete.
    4. Once complete, connect your phone to itunes, DO NOT SYNC, right click and select restore as new. DO NOT BACKUP. Once complete, disconnect the phone, turn bluetooth on and see if it will pair properly with your car, & perform properly. If it does, reconnect your phone to itunes, right click & this time select RESTORE FROM BACKUP, select the backup we made when we started. Your phone is now back to the state it was when we started, no lose of data, & hopefully pairing with your car properly.

  • I have a new IMAC 5k running Yosemite and when I log in I am asked a whole series of questions as to what keychain can access. How can I authorise all of these to be available upon login? Items concerned are such as "Talagent", "Messages agent" etc

I have a new IMAC 5k running Yosemite and when I log in I am asked a whole series of questions as to what keychain can access. How can I authorise all of these to be available upon login? Items concerned are such as "Talagent", "Messages agent" etc

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
              Change Settings for Keychain "login"
In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences... ▹ First Aid
There are four checkboxes in the window that opens. Check all of them. if they're not already checked. Close the window.
    Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
If you use iCloud Keychain, open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device.

  • Accidentally removed an authorised device from itunes

    Under iTunes
Use Store > View My Account
Under iTunes in the Cloud click Manage Devices. I accidentally removed the wrong iphone as an authorised device. How do I re-authorise it?
iTunes will no longer recognise that the device is plugged in to my Windows 8 laptop.

The last time I seriously had an issue with iTunes was several
versions ago, and I had to find and remove several files other
than just the iTunes application in order to reinstall an all new
(or All-Old) installation; so none of the former items were inside
the computer. And that's been so long ago, I am uncertain now
what items, hidden in several folders, need to be tossed out.
{There are Packages, such as iTunes Access, iTunes X, iTunes,
etc in the system; there may be plists (preferences) or other
    related stuff. Almost a mystery in where the right ones hide out.}
You should not have to worry about the iTunes music library,
since it can be left where it belongs unless you are reverting
to an iTunes player that can't support some new codec or
    compression, or other technologies.
But since you aren't going back to an earlier version, you
only have to remove the section of the installed iTunes
that is not the Application itself; perhaps a preference plist
or Application support file has some iTunes parts, to toss.
The replacement item to that you accidentally lost would
not be reinstalled unless the computer sees it has No iTunes
files of the type that radio station (and others) existed in.
So, tossing & emptying Trash won't get rid of these other files.
That's where the necessity to know where to go comes in.
And like I said, it has been several versions ago, when I had
to remove all iTunes support files (except music library) and
reinstall - then, it was to revert to a version one number older.
That's the direction to take, though. Try a search for 'reverting
iTunes' in google to see what kinds of articles show up.
PS: There are a few uninstaller utilities for Mac OS X that
may be able to help find & remove all the items iTunes in-
stalled in the first place; of course, I can't recall the names.
    It's only 2AM here.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • How to get the device token in windows phone 8 sliverlight application?

    Hi,
I am developing a windows phone 8 silverlight application . For my application I want to add push notification service , for this service I have to call one web service in my app . This api requires device token , device id ..etc , I am able to get the all
    the things except devicetoken .
How to get the device token of a device ?
    any help?
    Thanks...
    Suresh.M

Most probably device token is the push channel url which is returned by MPNS when a request is made to it.

  • HT204053 i need to know how to separate different devices on the same itunes account

I need to kow how to seperate different devices on the same itunes account

Each of you should have their own iCloud account  which could be set up in "Settings > iCloud" (and if you asking me also for iMessage and FaceTime), but you could still use the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases which could be set up in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores" so that you only have to purchase each app or other media once.

How do i disassociate devices from my itunes account? I have an old iphone 4, PC, and soon to be old iphone 5.

    Hey sgallagher5200,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to remove an associated device from your account:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Removing an associated device or computer from an Apple ID
To remove a device or computer from your Apple ID:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Click the Remove button next to the device name you would like to unassociate.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90-day timer. You must wait 90 days from the day the device was first associated with your Apple ID before it can be associated with another Apple ID.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How to sync two devices with single Apple ID?

I would like to use the same Apple ID for both devices. During syncing in computer ITunes, is it possible to avoid the applications in both devices share to each others?

What syncs to any given device from a single iTunes library depend on how you have that device's profile set up in iTunes. When you connect the device to iTunes and select it under Devices, you will see a screen to the right. That screen has several tabs, including a tab for Apps. You select which apps you want on a particular device there.
Be sure you do not have "Automatice Downloads" set up under Settings>iTunes & App Stores for the devices in question.
    Cheers,

  • New iPad is not on the authorised devices list

Every thing seems to be working as it should. I can download from the store etc. but, my new iPad Air is not shown on the authorised devices list in my account.
Is there something I need to do to get it recognised?
    Cheers.

Same for me, Diamond White. Everything seems to work, but my new iPad Air isn't showing up in the list.
Thanks for suggestions, King_Penguin. Alas, I tried all of those except iTunes Match (don't want or need) and still no joy getting the device to appear in the list. My main PC is there along with my iPad 3.
    Regards.
