How to deactivate Creative Suite after harddisk crash ?

I have a two user volume license of Creative Suite Design Standard 6.
Main work is done in the office on two PC's.
There was a second installation of the product on my private notebook.
Now I had a harddisk crash on that notebook.
Since it was rather old I decided to buy a new one which I received today.
The problem is, that I am unable to start the Creative Suite from the old notebook, so can not deactivate that software.
What to do ?
Regards
Gerhard Sachs

Obviously, you won't be able to deactivate the copy of the Creative Suite that was installed on the crashed disk!
What you need to do is install the Creative Suite on your new system. If it refuses to activate due to too many activations and a phone number appears on your screen, call that number for activation assistance. If no phone number is provided, call Adobe Customer Support and have them connect you with activation support. Explain to them your problem in terms of the crashed disk. Normally, they will readily provide you with an additional activation. (Obviously, if you call too many times with problems associated with crashed disks, they will probably question the validity of your requests! )

    Good morning everyone,

My issue is now that i cant reeinstall Photoshop and Aftereffects because it always says that all license are already in use. So is there any way to delet ore log myself off a license without the program beeing installed anymore.
I would be realy thankfull for any help.
    Cheers
    Forster F

    Hi Forster,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
The CC has been activated twice, so please perform the steps as mentioned earlier, when you will launch & try to sign in after install, it will ask you to deactivate from previous machine.
There will be an option to deactivate it from there also, if your previous machine are un accessible then you can choose the option to deactivate from here & henceforth it will allow to sign in & activate.
Please let us know if it worked.
    Regards,

How do I deactivate Creative Suite 3 from a computer I no longer have access to?

As far as my experience in this forum goes, Adobe support has the ability to deactivate inaccessible installations.  Unless that has changed just recently it should still stand.  You can contact them thru chat and get it taken care of.

  • How to synchronize Creative Suite applications for consistent color?

Wondering how to synchronize Creative Suite applications for consistent color? (On a Mac.)

    artificial "suites"
I don't agree with that; some of these applications are very tightly integrated with a seamless cross-app workflow.
Anyway: In itself, there's no particular reason to have the apps "synchronized". Requirements are different in the various apps, and my color settings are deliberately unsynchronized. But until you understand more about what the different color settings do, it's a simple safeguard against surprises.
In Photoshop, working on RGB (or CMYK) raster image material, the all-important thing is to have color management policies set to "preserve embedded profiles". Any other setting is trouble waiting to happen. You may also want to work in a large space like ProPhoto to have maximum editing headroom.
But as soon as you get into CMYK and/or vector territory with ID and Ai, you don't want that because it can lead to a number of other problems on press. For CMYK you'll want to ignore profiles and preserve numbers, then reassign the correct profile for output. Using ProPhoto for RGB vector is also totally pointless. Just mentioning this to put this into context.
If you do want to synchronize, you do it in Bridge as station two said. But all it means is having the same settings in each app's color settings, and you can do that manually as well.

  • How to activate Creative Suite 3 after reinstall

Had to reinstall Creative Suite 3 and now can't activate online. When I try to reactivate it says there is no internet conncetion. What can I do to activate?

If the apps are PPC apps they will not run in Lion, no matter what. You can use:

    to repair license information.

  • How to install creative suite 5 master collection?

I am having two files of Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection[Windows] -
    1) Disk1.iso - 7.09 GB [7.09 GB after extraction]
    2) Disk2.iso - 6.10 GB [6.17 GB after extraction]
NOTE : I am not having the DVDs or CDs of the CS5 master collection. I am just having the files on my hard disk.
I extracted them with WinRAR. After that I got the extracted files of both disks. I navigated to ..../...../Adobe CS5/Disk1/Adobe CS5/Set-up.exe. The Disk1 is having setup files. The Disk2 is having only a folder named 'payloads' and many folders within that too. But there is a folder with the same name on Disk1. But the 'payload' folder of Disk2 is very larger in size as compared to that of Disk1. And there is no such 'set-up.exe' file on Disk2.
The setup (on disk1) runs perfectly. I want to install CS5 master collection completely (I mean that including all the softwares like Ps, Pr, In, Ae, etc. and all other contents). But I am wondering that how can I completely install CS5 Master Collection when only contents of one disk is installed. So, I not installed that because I wanted no problems.
Can anyone tell me that how can I install this software completely? Do I have to copy contents of 'payloads' ( which is on disk2) to the 'payload' folder of Disk1?
Will I require to first burn the ISO files on two separate DVD and then begin installation process? Is the Disk2 just having waste contents?
Please tell me the whole installation process after clicking the "install" button.

Yes, you have to copy the contents of Disk2 to Disk1 contents the way you said. Or you can follow the steps in following kb article to install the software -

  • Creative Suite 6 Design Crashing - try to reinstall and having major issues

Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium started crashing recently every time I try to open one of the programs.  I have an iMac 27-in Mid 2011 running Yosemite 10.10.  The programs were working fine up to a few days ago.  I'm trying uninstall and reinstall, but when I try to uninstall by choosing the uninstaller in my applications folder, I'm told the Adobe Application Manager is already running even though I can't see it anywhere on my Mac as a background process.  When I try to use the CD to re-install CS6, I'm told that Adobe Installer is already running even thought I can't see it anywhere on my mac either.  So I used this article and downloaded the cleaner tool and ran that (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6).  But I'm still having issues trying to install now.  So I need help trying to figure out how to kill the Adobe Installer and/or Application Manager permanently so I can reinstall.

I did and there isn't a process there that is the Adobe Installer.  When I double-click on the installer on my CD, I see the process start in the Activity Monitor, but I still get the message that the Adobe Installer is running already and I need to close it.  I've actually uninstalled everything at this point using a third-party software called AppCleaner so there aren't any Adobe files left on my computer.  So I have no clue how the Adobe Installer can be running already if it doesn't exist on my computer nor is there a process in the activity monitor running.  Any suggestions?

  • How to prevent Creative Suite apps setting the creator code?

I've just exported a PDF from InDesign CS4. Despite my default app for PDFs being Preview, it's opening in Acrobat.
It was bad enough having Photoshop CS3's exported JPEGs open in Photoshop rather than Preview by default, but now the disease seems to be spreading.
How can I disable this behaviour on Mac OS 10.5? (No, doing a Get Info on every file I export is not a valid answer! )
Surely the Creative Suite apps should have an option as to whether creator codes are set? They've got enough other options, after all…
(I know Snow Leopard fixes this by ignoring creator codes — please, Adobe, don't try and find a workaround for this without making it optional!)
    Thanks

Thanks, but I'm afraid the default for .jpg and .pdf is already to load in Preview. Surely all that fix will do is alter any files CS4 has already exported (and possibly anything where I've explicitly overridden the default app) but not future exports?
I need a fix that I set once, and then CS4 takes the hint that I know best about what programs should open what files (ie it stops setting creator codes).
At least when I can get this old iMac replaced, the new one will have Snow Leopard and the OS will finally ignore the creator codes and just use the default app that I set. About time Apple fixed that…

  • Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Constantly Crashing

I've had Adobe Creative Suite 3 for awhile now (I mainly use Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator).  And nearly every day, one of my programs crashes while I'm using it.  I've attached a recent crash log below from Dreamweaver.  The crash occurs mainly in Dreamweaver and Illustrator, but it's happened in Photoshop, too.
I've got 8GB of RAM.  I've attached a screenshot of my Activity Monitor while running Illustrator.
Originally I installed CS3 on my MacBook Pro when I still had Snow Leopard.  Since then, I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and now I'm on Mavericks (I skipped Lion).  After getting frustrated at the constant problems, I completely deleted and re-installed CS3.  The problem still occurred. So finally, I completely reformatted my hard drive and did a clean install of Mavericks, then re-installed CS3.  STILL THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.  It makes me think that there might be a compatibility problem between Mavericks and CS3, but I would still like to resolve the problem if possible.
Here is my most recent crash log from Dreamweaver if that helps.  Please HELP!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I heard CS simply doesn't work. Might want to check that statement though, its not from experience. From what I heard Quark 6, Virtual PC and CS all don't run, but like I say thats not from experience. I'd suggest using your old one until the Universal Binary is released...

  • Downloading Creative Suite after 90% installed, said Error w/ no solution?

Downloading Creative Suite 5.5 and after 90% installed, told me to quit Firefox, I did, then it said Error (1) with no instructions as to what the error is and how to solve it.
Do I need to be connected to the internet by any chance? I'm wireless and never have my computer hooked up downstairs but can move it if that could be the problem.
    Many thanks.

  • How to download creative suite with the serial number

I have the discs from when I purchased creative suite 3. The serial number is registered to me. I recently bought a macbook pro. I would like to get my creative suite over to the new computer. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Just install the application from the discs and use the serial number to activate.  You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations if you wish to keep both working.  If you wish to free up the extra activation then open an application on the old machine and choose Help -> Deactivate.

  • How to install creative suite 4 on windows 8.1?

I have a new Windows 8.1 laptop and am trying to install Creative Suite 4 on it.     I was able to do this on another laptop with 8.1, but that was over a year ago.   When I tried installing to the new computer from the CD, I got a message that "the Installer database is corrupt."   I contacted Adobe Support, and per their instructions I downloaded the "ADBESTDSCS4_LS1.7z" and "ADBESTDSCS4_LS1" files from the Download CS4 products page.   I clicked the applications file, and it created a  "Adobe CS4\Design Premium\Adobe CS4" directory under my desktop.  However, when I click the setup file, I get the same message - "the Installer database is corrupt."   I contact support again, and they told me that CS4 doesn't work with W8.1 - which is nonsense because it installed just fine on my W8.1 ultrabook.   So - what are the steps for installing CS4 on Windows 8.1, and how do I deal with the "installer database is corrupt" issue?   Thanks!

I found the solution.  I did some research and found references to deleting the caps.db files under older versions of Windows.   I did find a caps.db file under C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Backup.   I deleted the file, and then right-clicked the setup file and used "Run as Administrator" (didn't do that the first time),    Everything installed fine, except for an error message with Adobe Flash CS4.   But so far, the programs seem to work fine.   BTW, Adobe Reader 11, Photoshop Elements 11, and Premier 11 came preinstalled with my computer), which may have created some conflicts.
For what it's worth, Adobe's own website indicates that there are no known issues with Windows 8.1 for CS4 (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/windows-8-1-compatability.html).
