How to debug / fix audio skipping

Hi,
My music in iTunes will sometimes skip so badly that I cannot listen to it. I don't see any way in iTunes to debug this problem.
In vlc, I also get skips, and the messages in the console there say:

I think the problem is at a driver level, but I don't know. Can someone help point me in a good direction for fixing this?

How do I fix audio in an iMovie video?

I'm trying to finalize a video from iMovie, but whenever I finalize it, no matter what media I use, the sound for the video clips in my movie are always off. But on iMovie, the videos and audio work fine. How can I fix this??

It is happening on the timeline and when I burned the DVD it also happened on the DVD. However, I tested to see if it was the camera by linking the camera to the TV and everything was in sync...so it is not the camera.
It is interesting that when I captured the video in one shot, most of the video was out of sync with the background taping sounds.
I may have done a workaround. I have since captured the video in chunks and found that when I do that the alignment of video and all sound are OK except for a couple of sections of the video.
It appears that when captured all at once, the sections that are out of sync, pollute the remaining parts of the video. It sounds strange, but that it all I can come up with as a rationale. Why? I have no idea.

How do i fix the skipping audio on itunes 10.7. after update

After updating itunes to 10.7 all of my music will randomly skip or become choppy. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this can be fixed ?

If you run Windows Media Player does it have those tracks? WMP is a likely candidate and may have moved the tracks where it wants them to be. If so I can offer some advice on how to get WMP to leave your iTunes library alone and some scripts to repair the damage.

TS1362 How do I fix songs skipping?

Okay, so I bought a new album directly from the iTunes store not 15 minutes ago. I've had an awful week and had the morning free, so I thought I'd get some new music and then draw until I have to go back to work. The download finished, but a couple of songs are skipping at around a minute in. I'm running a standard, updated version of both Windows 7 and iTunes 10.6.whatever, I just updated it to try and fix the issue, but it's still happening.
I'd like to know how to fix this, but if possible, it'd be nice to know why it happened, too. I planned to burn this immediately so I could have it in my car later and I didn't have to make a separate trip to a music store. This is why I prefer cds. -_-;
Is there any way I can just re-download the songs? Thoughts?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

How do I fix audio drift?

I have two audio clips – one clip has slight drift. Is it possible to sync the two clips perfectly in either Soundtrack Pro or FCP? How? Thanks.

If you double click a file and open it up in the Audio Editor, select the whole file and then under the +Process Menu+ select *Time Stretch* you can change the duration in any unit from Seconds to Frames to Samples . . . so you have nearly infinite resolution.
The problem is how much to change it. It looks like your problem is between two sources running on two different clocks (probably both internal). You're probably going to be stuck with trial and error. Worse than that is that with inexpensive clocking devices they could actually be changing over the course of the recording, or day.
Unless both recordings start and stop at exactly the same time - unlikely. In that case you could measure the length of the two recordings in the inspector window and apply Time Stretch to one to make it the same length as the other.
Solutions would be to sync the two recording devices to a single clock source. or the old fashioned method of having a 2pop or clapper at the beginning and end of recordings.

How can i fix audio playback issues?

I have uploaded 3 cds to itunes this weekend and only one will play clearly. The others are all fuzzy. Any idea how to resolve this? I ticked the box to fix errors but still the fuzziness is there.

The computer may be lagging. Does this occur regardless of whether you use the trackpad or a mouse?

How to debug/fix broken iTunes WiFi Sync to iPad/iPhone?

I've had nothing but trouble with iTunes WiFi sync to my iPad and iPhone. Basically, the devices simply randomly fail to appear in iTunes. When they appear, I can sync just fine; but WHEN they appear seems to be more related to astrology than computer science.
-- OS X 10.8.4 on latest MacBook Pro, VERY clean install (no odd "tinker" type apps that might mess things up)
-- iTunes 11.0.5
-- Latest iOS on iPad and iPhone
-- Clean WiFi network with Airport Extreme (latest) access point
All other WiFi works perfectly .. Internet, printers (AirPrint), AirPlay, Apple TV, etc etc. Never had a single problem.
But iTunes WiFi sync is a complete mess. About 50% of the time when I start iTunes the devices dont show up at all. Closing and opening iTunes sometimes makes the devices appear, sometimes not. As I type this, my iPhone does appear (and is doing a WiFi sync), while my iPad, sitting next to me on my desk, is totally missing from iTunes, even though it is clearly (a) on, (b) connected to the network (I just browed a web site to be sure) and (c) connected to a charger.
I've been testing and experimenting with iTunes WiFi sync for two years now, and basically I think it's a disaster, and clearly one of Apple's weakest efforts to date. It's fragile, temperamental, and nearly unusable. I've spent hours on Google looking at others experiences, fixes etc, and none have worked. Considering stuff like AirPlay and AirPrint work perfectly, I think something is basically broken in the iTunes WiFi sync stack. I'm assuming Bonjour is used for finding the devices and if iTunes can find my Apple TV at once (it ALWAYS does), why can't it find my iPad (or vice versa?).
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be interested to hear them. Note that I've 30 years of computer architecture under my belt, so I do know just a *little* about what is going on here, but any and all suggestions accepted.

How can I fix audio problems on Adobe Presentation? (Using Lion)

I'm taking online classes and one of my classes, I'm having problems with the lectures. Sometimes when you open them, it says 'No Audio'. I have to refresh the page in order to get the audio to come back on. I updated my Flash and Java. Anyone have any idea about this? Other people in my class are having this issue too.

Out-of-memory errors - how to debug/fix

I've only recently noted that many of the tests we were running on our Windows XP oracle 10g server were failing from lack of memory. I have performed a lot of tests, added the /3GB parameter to boot.ini, tried many values for
pga_aggregate_target , sga_target and sga_max_size , but I still get the error.
Google searches and parameter tweaking has not helped. We use a great deal of Java stored procedures in this query.

Alas, I do not have metalink.
I have asked my company if we have a CSI number that I can use to get a metalink account, but I have not gotten a reply.
I have done substantial additional testing - setting JAVA_POOL_SIZE up to 660MB, using oracle.aurora.vm.OracleRuntime.setMaxMemorySize of 1GB and 640MB, and I have tried 'orastack' on oracle and tnslsnr of 512KB and 700KB.
I still get the ORA-04030 joxp heap,f:OldSpace errors.
The odd thing is that it used to work 'sometimes' - even with the default Oracle configuration,
but since November 24th it has failed every single time. It is possible I suppose that the database has grown enough to break the application for queries of this size.
I think it might be caused by the NCOMP testing I did. After I installed the companion CD and Visual Studio 2008 I think it has been failing on large queries consistantly. Is there a way to safely 'drop' the NCOMP classes without uninstalling everything?

MOH Fixed Audio Source Configuration CCM 4.1

Can anyone help me with the configuration of MOH Fixed Audio Source?
I want to have as MoH a radio brodcasting conected in CCM in LINE-IN (sound card).
I have in Control Panel, Sound and Multimedia Properties, Audio Tab, Sound Recording Preferred devices: Emu10Kx Audio [3400] .
I have to put the exact name in MOH Audio Source Configuration web page, at FIxed Audio source. But here I'm not allowed to use [ ].
How can I configure MoH to use the Radio connected in Line-In ?

MOH Fixed Audio-Recognizing MOH-USB-Audio on 7835

I am trying to set up a Cisco MOH-USB-Audio card (which is actually a C-Media UTA3100).
On a MCS7825 with OS 2000.4.4aSR8 this is no problem.With a MCS7835 and same OS it doesn't work.
It displays the card in Hardware-Device manager.
But in Control Panel-Sounds&Multimedia-Audio-Sound Recording-Preferred Device I get no recording Devices.
So it seems to be platform dependant.
Does anyone have an idea how to get it to work on the MCS7835 ?

DVD drives read the bottom of the disk, not the top. Smooth out the paper & try again.

I download exclusively from itunes and I have been having issues with the music stopping after about 25 seconds either skipping to the next song or just going silent and still moving as if it is playing? how do i fix this?

How do I fix my audio/video in iChat 4.0.9? it has worked perfectly until last night. I have been having video calls iChat with my granddaughter for 4 weeks. All of a sudden last night I wasn't able to complete the video/audio. We were able to iChat with writing. The message I got was to go to connection doctor.

Do you have four tabs (You may have less) I HAVE 4 TABS
In the First tab what does it read at the Bottom ? AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FIRST TAB (INTERNET CONNECTION) IT DOES SAY "SHARE A PUBLIC IP" WHEN I LOOK AT THAT SETTING - I COULD CLICK INSTEAD BRIDGE MODE OFF, OR DISTRIBUTE A RANGE OF IP ADDRESSES. BUT FOR NOW THE ONE THAT IT IS ON IS THE SHARE A PUBLIC IP.

Between that drop down and the tabs should be the info on how it connects to the Modem.
It may list that Puiblic IP.
It may list another LAN IP (one from the Modem)
Does it start 192.168....
Or 172.16 (or up to 172.32....)
Or possibly another 10.... number ?
If the modem is issuing IPs to the LAN there are two things that can effect things
One is the fact the computer gets two IPs (even though the mac can only display one)
And If you used Port Forwarding in the Modem the Place (IP/Computer or device) that it was pointing to may not be the Airport Base Station any more.

How can i fix a clip when the video and audio are not matching up? I imported the video from a junkdrive in a .VOB format and concerted to a .mov the videos were filmed on a miniDVD recorder.

I would try detaching the audio and the dragging the audio to the left or right until it lines up.
