How to decide between TAXINJ & TAXINN

Hello experts ,
Can anyone please tell me with respect to INDIAN MANUFACTURING CONCERN ,how can a consultant decide what tax procedure should be opted for the client ?
Also can anyone pls brief regarding the advantages & disadvantages of using the two procedures ?
Regards,
Anis

Taxinj: Is formula based excise determination, which leads to create tax code in FTXP and assignment of tax code to company code. And later on mantain the formulas for each tax calculations in the J1ID transaction.
In contrast
Taxinn: is the condition based excise determination, wherein you create tax code in FTXP assignment of tax code to company code and then crete the condition records for diffrent condition types in FV11 transaction using diffrent key combination.
The thing is every times the budgets changes you will have to change the formulas which is very time consuming and lots of efforts need to be made for the same. Where as in Taxinn you have to create a new tax code and new condition records no need ot change the old records.. They can be left as they are for reporting purpose.
If you use condition-based excise determination, use a copy of the tax procedure TAXINN.
If you use formula-based excise determination, use a copy of the tax procedure TAXINJ. This tax procedure also supports condition-based excise determination, so that you can work with both concurrently.
SAP strongly recommend that new customers use condition-based excise determination. Note that once you have started using a tax procedure, you cannot switch to another one, otherwise you will not be able to display old documents.
TAXINJ:
1. It is Formula Based Tax procedure.
2. It was most commonly used upto intial phase of R/3 4.7, but the latter implementations were with TAXINN.
3. Tax Code plays a vital role, as the Tax Rate are maintained in Tax Code.
4. It is complex compared to TAXINN
TAXINN:
1. It is Condition Based Tax procedure.
2. Tax Code is required to be maintained in Condition Record, & if Tax Code is not found in Condition Record, Sales Cycle will go upto billing, but not release to accounting. Hence even a single Tax code may suffice trhe requirement for different Tax rate.

    Thanks!Oracle corporation's statement of direction says ODI is their strategic ETL tool and if you and investing into Oracle ETl for the 1st time then it is better to invest in ODI .
    OWB will be supported and finally OWB and ODI will get merged into a single tool.
    For a pl/sql guy like you , the code generated by OWB is easy to understand as OWB mainly generates pl/sql code ( apart from sql loader and sap abap code ) . But that should not deter you to use ODI as ODI generates mainly SQL code (plus sove native code depending upon the technology used and KM) .

  • Diff between TAXINJ and TAXINN

    Hi Freinds
    I want to know the differrences between TAXINJ & TAXINN
    Regards
    Dev

    taxinn is condition based
    As per SAP its mor sutable for new product comming like crm etc. support first will be given to Taxinn and then taxinj
    in taxinn tax code dont play important role
    rates for tax are dependent on condition records which have to be created in FV11
    Min things to be maintained in J1id
    taxinj is formulabased
    in this tax code playes imp role and no need to create condition records
    its the old pricing proicedure
    hope things r clear
    reward accordingly

  • TAXINJ , TAXINN & Excise

    Dear Experts,
       1) If my tax procedure is TAXINJ, How systems links CIN with TAXINJ ? How the calculation takes place ?
       2) If my tax procedure is TAXINN, How systems links CIN with TAXINN ? How the calculation takes place ?
       3) What is the link between configuration of excise and configuration tax ?
       Kindly clear my doubts please.
    Regards,
    Prasath

    Hi Prasath,
    The tax proce (Taxinn or INJ) picks based on blw criteria.
    1- ur country assigned to tax proce (obbg).. say IN is assigned to ur proce Taxinn or Inj
    2- when u ever u create taxcode (ftxp) it will ask for the country (IN)-- here u r tax code will get link
    3- as well, when u create cond record , it will have combination of Tax code , mat/vendor/plant...
    4- excise determination is based on the Ex transcion type (GRPO,CAPE,DLFC,OTHER) , here u will assign the gl nbrs against ur plant and ex grp..
    hope this will help for ur understanding.. and ref the blw link for config.

  • Item category B & D, how SRM decides

    Hi all,
    When we create SC and PO goes to backend. It goes with one item category. Which are 3:
    1) Standard orders: Nil
    2) Limit orders: B
    3) Service Orders: D
    I want to know how SRM discriminate between B & D. I know that if you choose items from catalogs it goes as standard orders. Means, on what parameter it is decided that the item in SC will take category B or D in R/3.

    Hi,
    D is service items  : item category is a field in the SC structure.
    If you select item from catalogue, it can be a service or an item and the OCI (open catalogue interface between catalogue and SRM) will transfer the correct information on wether it is a service or a good.
    If non catalogue item (describe requirement) :
    there is a radio button to select manually service or good
    If this is a replicated material or service (from R/3 to SRM), the item contains the inforation (see transaction commpr01).
    For limit items, there is a special transaction and item category B is default one.
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • How to choose between CBR and 2-Pass VBR ?

    Hi,
    I know alot of virtual ink has flowed about this topic, but I couldnt find the answer I need.
    I'm compressing an 83minute feature film to DVD. Source material is 10bit Uncompressed YUV from PAL DigiBeta, sent directly from FCP to Compressor. Compressor is at version 2.0.1, and all ProApp and QT updates are applied.
    Compressing at a CBR (ie: 1pass) with a data rate of 7.4Mbps gives a .m2v file size of about 3.3GB and takes about 3hours.
    Compressing at 2-Pass VBR with a max data rate of 7.4Mbps gives a file size of about 3.9GB and takes 12 hours+.
    Shouldnt the two pass be smaller given the same max data rate?
    When I compare the two visually, I cannot tell any difference between them. I'm looking at areas with alot of motion, or with fine detail, or camera movement, but they look about the same.
    How to decide which to use?
    Many thanks....
    G5 Dual2.0 (PCI-X), 4.5GB RAM, 23" Cinema Display, PB G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi There
    CBR compression is generally better quality - especially out of Compressor 2 - but usually a higher file size that VBR - can't explain your result there. Check fades, dissolves, small text and camera movement for comparsion between the two mpegs. If you still can't tell the difference then use the bigger one if you have the room, if you don't use the smaller one. If the larger file is better but you're worried about disc space then build your disc using the lager one anyway. If after your created the VIDEO_TS file it still too big use DVD2ONE or DVD Remaster to shrink it back down - I doubt you'd see any visiual difference.
    Hope that helps
    Cheers

  • Hi, I need help deciding between 2 notebooks

    I have an Asus g1s which I bought from bestbuy 2 years back. I'm going to get it replaced soon and was trying to decide between a couple models. I really want a future proof laptop for gaming.
    here they are:
    Alienware M17x
    ntel® Core™2 Quad processor Q9000 2.0Ghz;
    4GB DDR3 SDRAM;
    DL DVD±RW/CD-RW drive;
    17" widescreen WXGA+ 1440x900;
    500GB hd 7200 rpm;
    Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M graphics;
    PRICE:2,299.99
    Asus G72Gx
    Intel® Core™2 Quad processor Q9000 2.0Ghz;
    6GB DDR2 memory;
    DL DVD±RW/CD-RW drive;
    17.3" widescreen LED-backlit LCD 1600x900;
    640GB hard drive (320GB x 2; 7200 rpm);
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M graphics;
    PRICE:1,299.99
    So as you can see the Alienware is a thousand bucks more and the only thing better about it is the gpu. The screen, the hd are a bit worse but I dont care about the tiny difference. I can't really tell which ones ram is better so what do you guys think?
    Is it really worth paying 1000$ more for dual gpus?
    (please feel free to ask me any questions)

    Personally, I would never get a laptop for gaming, unless it's an absolute must for some reason. You get a lot more for your money with a desktop system, heat is much less of an issue as well. Everyone I know with a gaming  laptop can't use it on a flat surface and either have to have a cooling mat or prop the laptop up to keep it from overheating.
    However, if you are going to get a gaming laptop I would go for one of the Core i7 (Nehalem) based models instead of Core 2 duo.
    Computers are NOT appliances, they MUST be maintained! Educate yourself on how to do this and save yourself headaches, repair bills, and lost data!

  • Trying to decide between MacbookPro & iPad 2

    Hi all- I'm starting high school next year and I am trying to decide between purchasing a MacbookPro and a iPad 2. I just need something to take notes on and I must have iWorks on it during the day, and for travel. I have access to an iMac at home where  I have all of my homework, projects, files, etc. on, but I am just looking for something a bit more personalized for during the day use.
    I am very nervous as to making the right choice, so all feedback is greatly appreciated!

    Well, I have both. And I know students ( first year college) who get along just fine with an iPad for daily use and most of their coursework.
    I wouldn't want to get along with syncing to someone else's Mac, however. I think that could get frustrating really fast, both because of a lack of access and a lack of personalization and privacy. But if it's YOUR Mac at home, and it has the specs to support an iPad then the iPad will certainly work.
    My second warning about an iPad as your main computer is that while the iPad is fine for visual jounaling and social media, you're going to need a computer for more extensive creative work with images, video and music.
    I'd suggest you look at a third choice, which is a MacBook. (Not a MacBook Pro). They are really sturdy (and iPads DO have to be babied and well-protected when they are transported) and plenty powerful enough to run image-editing, music and video apps. I recently spent a few days at a rural high school in my state where all the students get MacBooks and wow! What they were doing with them and how much easier they made managing their reading, research and writing was amazing.
    One good thing: if you choose any of these products and find that it doesn't really meet your needs, you'll have no trouble selling it.

  • Coin Flip: Variable decides between values

    I have several RNA sequences:
    gggagauuAGUCAU(g/c)UAAGuuUACAAUC(u/a)CGCuuGUA(g/c)AUCGUAGuuGU(u/a)GU
    ggcgcuuuGAC(u/a)CUUCUGCuuauguccC(u/a)CUAuuCUUA(g/c)AUGACUuuGG(u/a)CC
    ggcaacuugaucccUC(u/a)GGuuagcgccGG(u/a)CCuuucucccAC(u/a)ACuuCAC(u/a)G
    gggaucuuACCUAC(u/a)CACGuuUGCUG(u/a)UCUCGuuGCAGAAG(u/a)GUCuuCC(u/a)GA
    ggacauuuCGAGA(u/a)CAGCAuu(g/c)uuucccGACCuuGCG(u/a)GAUUGUAuuUAG(u/a)G
    gggaaa(g/c)uuCGUG(u/a)GUAGGUuuguugccC(u/a)GUGuuCUACGAU(g/c)UACuuGGUC
    You'll notice there are several instances of '(g/c)' and '(u/a)', where the nucleotide can be either G or C or either A or U.
    I need print all the possible sequences that can be made from the above six. In other words, I need to implement a 'coin flip' that decides between C/G or A/U every time '(g/c)' or '(u/a)' appears. All-in-all there are over one million possible sequences.
    How can I do this?

    It doesn't seem to me that there will be millions of possible combinations. In fact, if I understand the problem correctly, I think there are two possible options for each of the a/u or g/c nucleotides. Since there are four of them in each of the six strings, each string has 2^4 possible permutations, or 16 Thus, the way I see it, you have 16*6 = 96 possible strings to work from. What I would do is enumerate these 96 strings, placing them into a list or collection of some kind. Then, you have the ability to use each of these strings as necessary to build up your overall RNA string.
    If the final RNA string must be a combination of exactly 6 of these strings, with no repetition, then you have 96 *95 *94 *93 *92 *91 = 6,674,768,880, which might be (I suppose) where you got your original answer.
    Assuming I understand this correctly, you probably don't want to enumerate all of these. What it seems like you're asking is how to simulate the possibility of randomness developing in the final RNA sequence. So, I think the problem is better stated like:
    Given these 6 sequences of RNA, how can I build a single string such that at each possible (a/u) or (g/c) each of the possible choices has a 50% possibility of being present at that location?
    If this is what you're looking for, then I think a better algorithm is to build the enumerations of the RNA strings such that the g/c and a/u choices are intact, and then begin traversing through it, each time you run the experiment, calculating a new random variable at each of the parenthesized points in the RNA string. This will not produce unique strings, but will be like a simulation of RNA construction.

  • How to decide whether to use a cube or dso?

    Hi,
    If any requirment is given ,Based on what conditions we decide which  data target(i.e a cube or dso) to be used ?
    As of my knowledge,
    1) DSO has the property of Over write option and cube have additive property.
    2) DSO  can have delta records and cube  can not have.
    Do we need consider these also?while we decide to load?
    help me how to decide the data target for a particular requirment
    Regards
    Naresh.

    Hi,
    If you have to report on a data target, you should always use Cube (give us better performance).
    For intermediate storage, we use DSO.
    Another thing is that DSO can also be used in additive mode. Regarding Delta, cube can have delta loads and can also provide delta to another target.

  • How to switch between messages in the BlackBerry Hub

    With the release of BlackBerry 10 version 10.1, we’ve added a new gesture to the BlackBerry Hub that allows you to quickly switch between your next and previous messages. It’s simple: while viewing a message drag your finger from the left to the right and in one continuous motion swipe up or down.
    For example, in the following screenshot you’ll notice I am viewing ‘Test 08”. To get to the next message, “Test 09”, all I need to do is swipe from left to right (red arrow) followed by swiping up (green arrow) in a single motion. To switch to the previous message, “Test 07”, I complete the same gesture, but swipe down instead (blue arrow).
    Tip: Using a BlackBerry Q10 or Q5? On top of using this gesture to switch between messages, you also have the option of pressing the N key to view your next message, or the P key to view a previous message.
    If this gesture doesn’t appear to be working on your device, verify you are using BlackBerry 10.1.0.4181 or later by going to Settings > About and reviewing the OS Version field. If the OS Version is lower than 10.1.0.4181, check for updates by going to Settings > Software Updates.
    For more details about the availability of BlackBerry 10.1, check out Inside BlackBerry’s post on BlackBerry 10 Software Updates.

    I would set up a variable before you get to that node, lets call it $EmpID and assign to it the value of the prompt you want to play lets say 12345 which would be the library promptID. It will then play prompt, get digits, and once you validate if it goes through the expression that flags it as invalid, in that node re-declare the variable, but this time give it the value of the new prompt you want to play, then sent it back to the node which will then play the new prompt and collect the digits.

    Please elaborate - share what?
    Just guessing here...
    Any sharing is probably a result of being logged in with the same Apple ID on both devices.
    For apps/music: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic Downloads OFF.
    For iCloud: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account.

  • How to decide no.Technical and Business Systems required for any senario

    Hi XI experts
         I am very new to XI but it is very interesting ....
         To develop any scenario how to decide Technical systems and Business
         Systems...
         For any scenario but how to decide the systems howmany to create ?
         I had a scenario like SOAP to RFC to SOAP ? For this how to decide?
         One more like FILES to BPM to JDBC ...like
         Can any one explain me for any scenario which may include SAP
         R/3,CRM,APO,BW,JDBC,SOAP,RFC...any system.
    Adv..thanks and points to all
    Kiranlvs

    Hi Kiran.
    Ok here I will try to answer your question.
    1) SOAP (Web Service) -> RFC (R/3) -> SOAP (Web Service)
    a) you will need to create a Business System for R/3.
    b) you will need to create a third party business system or a business service for the Web Service system.
    2) File (File System) -> XI -> JDBC (Database)
    a) you will need to create a third party business system or a business service for the File system.
    b) you will need to create a third party business system or a business service for the Database system.
    note: BPM is one of the functionality of XI so there is no need to create a BS or TS for it.
    3) CRM or APO or BW (SAp Systems) -> XI -> IDoc (R/3)
    a) Business System for CRM or APO or BW
    b) Business System for R/3.
    The bottom line is you need to create Business System for any SAP system that is part of you integration scenario or when you have to Idoc, RFC and Proxies.
    If the business system already exists for the SAP system then you just need to attach your SWCV or Product to that Business System.

    I can't seem to decide between the 13" or the 15" MacBook Pro. I had a 14.5" I'm just used to that size. Dell which crashed on me for the third and last time. It was also my primary home computer. Is the 15" necessary or should I just get the 13"? I probably won't be doing any graphics or anything like that.

    It is really a matter of your personal preference. You have to choose between the extra carrying convenience of the smaller machine and the greater "real estate" of the bigger. I use a 15", and have not found it inconvenient for carrying, even on aircraft, where it has to share backpack space with an SLR camera and assorted lenses.

  • How to move between applications in Mission Control using non-english keyboard?

    I have recently started using MC and really like it. I prefer doing as much navigation as possible from the keyboard.
    I can do most of the things I want to with MC but I have not been able to find out how to switch between open applcations on the selected Desktop while in MC.
    I have tried searching for a solution online without success. To begin with it would be great if it is at all possible but preferably, it would be something that could be configured by me in System Preferences/Keyboard.
    I would think that other people would want to do somehting similar so hopefully there is a solution.
    Thanks in advance,
