Depends on where the bean data must be available. Start with request scope. If you need the data in session scope, then think twice about impacts (memory usage, multiple browser tabs, etc) unless the data is obviously targeted on the session scope (loggedin user, user settings, dropdown data, etc).

and in the accompanying documents linked from that page. Syncing your iPad with iTunes copies items, it doesn't move them. The only way apps would be actually removed from your iPad during syncing is if you had iTunes set to remove them on syncing, so check the appropriate settings in iTunes, set the book to sync as well, and then sync the iPad again.

If you no longer have the phone or have any Backup of it at all, you can re-download your apps and your content from the iTunes Store by logging into your Apple ID at settings> iTunes & App Store. Unfortunately you can no longer recover the data that was associated with those apps.
So far as your photos go, you can recover any photos that were in photo stream and taken less than 30 days ago by logging in with your Apple ID to settings> iCloud> photos. Unfortunately you will be unable to recover any photos from your camera roll.

Does anyone have an example backing bean for selectBooleanCheckbox and dataTable combination?
I am trying to figure out how to create a dataTable with one column of checkboxes, when the checkboxes are selected, need to get a collection of all records that were selected.
Also need to identify one of the columns in the records that were selected and send it to the EJB services to do update.
columns in dataTable are userid and name. Both are string values.

it could be a motherboard problem. Last month I spilled liquid on to my iphone and since I didn't have warranty for it I had to take it to a "phone doctor". He fixed it but mentioned that motherboard is working fine but he can not say for sure for how long it will last, and that I may experience some wierd problems. I'm having this exact problem the day I got my iphone back.
Well no longer but the solution still seems wierd. I turned on the "location services" because I saw in the "system services" screen that "cell network search" was turned on. I figured if I don't screw with location services, it would be okay. So, after three hours, I terminated the sleep in 10-20-30 minutes and 1 hour intervals, it seems I no longer have the problem but I'm going to sleep over it to be sure. Also make sure to turn on the "auto" option on the "carrier" menu.
I will post the outcome if I don't forget about this page.

Go to system profiler and report back the amount of RAM that you have.
Make sure that you have at least 20% of your hard drive free.
Make sure you don't have a lot of items on your desktop as that can slow things down.
Quit applications that aren't responding or you aren't using and won't be using for a while.
~/Library/Caches Quit all applications and delete this folder. Do a regular delete then do a secure erase on all the items that won't delete.
If it only happens with a certain application (Safari for example)...
1. Quit the application (Safari)
2. Open ~/Library/Preferences and find the file for safari (com.apple.Safari.plist).
3. Put the file in the trash. Do NOT empty the trash yet. Open the application and make sure everything's ok. Now you can delete the file. In Mail if you trash the file, you will get rid or your setup.
Make sure that your dashboard doesn't have too many widgets and use Activity Monitor to see what it's using.
There are ways to disable if you want to.
Make sure that all of your software is up to date.
Repair permissions (it can't hurt)
Don't have a lot of login items.
Your internet browser shouldn't have a lot of extensions.

You should regularly copy photos from iPhone to computer and delete them from the Camera Roll on the iPhone.

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?

How to track PropertyChangeEvent for the backing beans?

I'm working on JSF 1.2 + JDK 1.6. Would like to know wether any direct support for tacking the PropertyChangeEvent for the backing bean. Objective is to keep track of the modified entities ( backing bean) and update the corresponding Database records at later stage with the modified attribute/record.
E.g:
Assume a datatable is populated with list, and 3 rows alone is modified, So the DB update is supposed to happen only for those rows. I prefer to have the PropertyChange tracking logic in one place. Dont want to add PropertyChangeListener for all backing beans.
Can anybody help me on this.

This is no direct support in JSF for PropertyChangeEvents.
As for other solutions to your problem, first looking specifically at the database updates, Hibernate tracks modifications to fields and can be configured to only update the needed columns (see the dynamic-update attribute). So perhaps Hibernate can suit your needs or you could use their techniques to solve your problem.
Taking a wider view of the general problem of adding PropertyChangeListeners to managed beans, I would be inclined to use Spring and AOP to add the PropertyChangeEvents to all the setters. Spring might also help the configuration of the PropertyChangeListeners. Although I have to say that I think that PropertyChangeEvents are of limited use in a web application.
Another approach might be to hook into the JSF EL expression engine. You could add a special ELResolver whose purpose is to discover when the property changes happen. The drawback is that all the setting must be done via the EL in order for this to work.

You should be able to do
   <h:inputText value="#{bean.lastDate}"/>Where 'bean' is the managed bean name containing
the method getLastDate().
When the view is rendered, the getter (getLastDate())
will be called to display whatever value is returned.

How to handle exception on a backing bean constructor ?

Hello,
I would like to handle the exceptions throw on the constructor of a backing bean, and redirect the user to a "service not available" page.
When I use "request.sendRedirect()" method to redirect the user to such page, I logically got an "IllegalStateException: Cannot forward a response that is already committed".
Do you have any idea how can I redirect or forward a user to a page when the response is already commited? Is it possible to use servlet filter and do a forward after the doFilter()?
