I�m a beginner programmer in J2EE. 
I need in my application to declare a path as a resource JNDI but I can�t use tag for this declaration. Can any one help me?

You should be able to declare an absolute path using the "/" and a relative path should be without the "/".
For example if you have myJsp.jsp in the directory jsppages and you wanted to access the page from a jsp in the webapp root directory.
the absolute path would be
"/jsppages/myJsp.jsp"
and the relative path would be
"jsppages/myJsp.jsp"

first, the accessRID is the RID which was used at creation time, maybe containing links; these are resolved, so you will get the "physical" place where the file is stored by getRID.
Second, to determine the path without the name of the file, there are at least three possibilities without looping (resource, the file, is an instance of IResource):
1.) String path = resource.getParentCollection().getRID().toString();
2.) String path = resource.getRID().toString().substring(0, resource.getRID()().toString().lastIndexOf('/'));
3.) String path = resource.getRID()().toString().substring(0, resource.getRID()().toString().length() - resource.getName().length());
Solution 1 seems to be very intuitive (you ask for the folder path, where the file is in), 2 & 3 are shorter than a loop, but not intuitive and in general dangerous (when using substring, you have to take care of exceptions caused by strange parameters).

I have the same issue with relative links using Captivate 8. I am trying to load Captivate modules into an LMS using relative links to document files within the LMS. The links work fine during a site page test so not an issue in the LMS, but from the Captivate module they aren't working....

Let me clarify well.
I am trying to create a list of values based on dates contained in a table. This list of values should contains the "years". If the table contains data for the years 2005, 2006, 2007, then the list of value should return :
2006
2007
2008
As I want a list of value I need to have a display and a return value. The name of the table is 'dynamic' It is the item P4_SITE that contains a part of the name of the table. This is why I am usins PL/SQL, because I don't know the name of the table in advance.
I have not seen any way to put a pl/sql statement in the List of values definition of the item. Thi s is why I try to make a LOV with the SOURCE of the item.
Hope I am clear.

How do you combine paths?

Hi all.
I had to break a closed path apart, delete a section, and re-do it. Unfortunately Illustrator has a penchant for deselecting the path you're working on with the pen tool and starting a new one from time to time, so now I have three paths instead of one. But they all have common end points, ready to join.
I've searched the doc, the forums, and the Web, but haven't found how to join these paths into one. Not a compound path that remains separable (which is what "Pathfinder" creates), but rather one path as if I'd drawn it continuously.
What to do?

I am begining to be curious to see what kind of artwork you are drawing just to get a better understanding why joining is not working for you.
If the main source of the problem is that the pen does not continue to draw but wants to draw a new path there might be some settings that could be adjusted so it would better suit you. Are you using a Wacom maybe?
Anyway, take a period where you closely watch the pen icon while you are drawing. If the pen discontinues there will appear an x just beside the icon. You can then move the pen to where it left off and a slash will appear at the icon to let you know you can continue.
Under usual conditions the pen only stops drawing the path if you hold down the Cmd key and click on a white area. If that is not the case something else is wrong.
A key can be assigned to a scripts via the Action Panel. Make a new Action. Stop recording and from the fly-out menu: Insert a Menu Item... etc.

How to declare value binding to array list element in a pojo?

I have a POJO called P, that contains an ArrayList member called w.

w is initied in the class constructor.
The POJO is in the SessionBean and I would like to reference individual
elements in the ArrayList via a value binding like so;
#{SessionBean1.instanceOfP.w[5]}
I'm not sure how to declare the getter/setter for member W in POJO P
so that setter and getter injection work.

You may not be able to directly set the indexed value.
Try some thing like this.
Add a property that returns the indexed value.
Ex. if you ArrayList objets are of type "String"
int index = 5;
public String getMyValue(){
return w.get[index]
Now your value binding would look something like
#{SessionBean1.myValue}
BTW, if you want to access different index, create another method

I got this doubt, when searching logs on the servers. I have 2 WFE's in my farm, I got an error from enduser. So in which WFE server i need to check the logs.
How to configure logs path. Is it is possible to specify logs path on our own instead of 14 hive folder.

That is a really bad idea, especially with idle disconnects and other unreliability of CIFS.
You should instead check out the command
Merge-SPLogFiles which will allow you to combine ULS logs from multiple servers into a single file.
You can certainly specify your own path, but the path must be available on all servers. For example, if you specified D:\Logs, D:\Logs must exist on all SharePoint servers within the farm.

If you are requirement is to create a function module with tables parameter having a generic line type i.e. no specific line type
just declare it with a name under Parameter name with out specifying the type.
A reference function module with such parameter, i would quote is the standard GUI_UPLOAD/ GUI_DOWNLOAD where the parameters specified under TABLES are generic.
If you want to process the values passed to these parameters in the source code of function module, field symbols would be a preferable option.
