How to "decode" picture attachments to emails

I get lots of family pic attached to emails but I cannot get them into PSE10 apparently because I did not decode them correctly. -- ??

Thank you.

Often, pictures or simple documents (eg, one-page PDFs) will appear directly within the message itself. You can also use the Quick Look button next to the attachments line (in the message header) to view and scroll through the files (provided they're viewable, and aren't compressed or binary files).
You can also click Save next to Quick Look to save the files to your Downloads folder.

The thing to remember is that iOS email attachments start with the document itself, not from the Mail app.
    1. Select the thing you want to send in an app that handles it, (for example a Photo might be sent from Photos, a PDF from GoodReader etc.)
    2. Then tap the "share" button (which I see others have kindly posted screenshots for) and create an email containing that attachment.

  • E51: How not to receive attachments in email?

    Hi,
I can't find anywhere how to disable attachments in emails!
I just want to receive the text. I can't believe it's not possible
If I put maximum mail size to, let's say 2kb, it still downloads the larger attachments...
    Headers only doesn't work too.
    Is that normal?
    Thanks in advance,

    Go to Solution.

There are other e-mail progs like Profimail and Emoze whitch can be customized much better. I prefere Profimail. There is a trial version for 28 days on the net. Emoze is free.

  • How can I open attachments in email

How can I open attachments in email

Are you sure that the attachment file type is a supported file? Can you open the attachment on your computer?
If the answer to both questions is yes - try quitting the mail app completely and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • How to make picture attachments that receivers with PC´s are able to detach

When I attach a photograph to a message that is directed to a recipient who uses a windows-based PC, the recipient most often tells me that he/she cannot detach the photograph from the message. It is as if the message were imbedded into the message they receive, rather than appended to it. In attempting to correct for this I have checked "Always send windows-friendly attachments" (a submenu item under "Attachments"in the "Edit" Menu) but that does not seem to help. How can I correct this problem?

Let me also add that with Plain Text it may not be necessary, but I by practice always put attachments last, and I never type between or after them. In Mail 3.0 and later, there is also a setting to always insert attachments at the end of the message, but that sometime impedes the attaching process, at least in the earliest versions of 3.x.
Primarily it is Outlook and Outlook Express users that have problems with attachments and Rich Text, along with the limited few that use Lotus Notes. When sending to those using AOL, it has always been recommended to use only Plain Text, regardless of the email client being used.

So, let's say I send an unprotected mp3 in an email to a friend's iPhone.
Is it possible to move that file into the "library" of her phone (so she could, say, add it to a playlist) within the operation of the iPhone?
    No.
If not, what do we consider the easiest &/or most efficient method of getting it there?
Put it in your iTunes library on your computer, then sync it to the iPhone.

  • Picture attachments in email--not showing up

when I get an attachment that is a pictures, I get one line across the top where the image starts to load, and then it says done. I have no way of opening the attachment by itself. Anyone have any ideas/help on this one. For some reason this seems a little weird that none of the messages will load with this.
    Thanks again guys!

sorry, I should have been clearer
If you have an Exchange server; you need to apply the required Update Rollup to the Exchange server, rather than local Outlook clients.   Noe that the Outlook Web Access should still display the PDF attachment.
    "Consider the following scenario:
You have a server that has Update Rollup 3 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed.
You use a Mac Mail client to send an email message that includes a PDF attachment to a mailbox on the server.
You open the email message by using Outlook 2010.
In this scenario, the PDF attachment in the email message is not displayed.
Note The PDF attachment is displayed when you open the email message by using Outlook Web Access (OWA).
    RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:

  • Can't open picture attachments on my new 9360 Curve

Help Please!  Older guy here is not able to open picture attachments in email - missing grandchildren pictures!!!

The sending PC is doing some weird encoding if you are receiving the images as text.
    Do this.
From a PC, send a jpg attachment (attached! not inserted in the email, but attached -- there is a different).
Now, send the email to both your "older guys" email and to your own or someone else in the organization with a BlackBerry.
Look at the received email on BOTH devices.
    Any difference?

  • How do I put a picture in an email

I want to put a pdf in an email, but not as an attachment, I want the email to open and the picture to all ready be there..just dont know how, thanks for your help

Thank you Dan! I understand all that. What I don't get is that when I send an email to someone, the only way I can figure to put a picture in the email is by either dragging it onto the body of the email where I want to place it (which makes it an attachment) or I can use the Attach File from the File menu or the Attach button at the top of my composing window.
I get emails all the time the look like a regular html web page with formatting and inline photos and graphics and they never show up in my email as having attachments. This is what I want to do. So, how does one place, insert, paste as html, or other wise put an image into an email so that it has formatting and does not show up as having an attachment when someone else receives my email.
I am a photographer and the biggest reason I am asking the question is that I want to send out an email that includes an image inline in the body of the email so that the recipient will not trash the email before opening it because it has an attachment or their spam filter intercepts it and trashes it because it has an attachment.
    Thanks again for any assistance!
If anyone likes, I can send you an example of both how my emails look (with attachments) and ones that I get that have the formatted text and photos.
Am I just thick here and not getting something?????
    Cheers!

My yahoo account is not accepting emails with picture attachments. Other wifi features are working. Other iPad and iPhone devises using this wireless router are accepting photo attachments. How do I have to configure my ipad2 to accept photo attachments on it?

This did not help, thanks for the suggestion but my settings match this description on both devices and no result.

  • Can't send emails with picture attachments

All of a sudden, I can't sent emails with picture attachments. I last tried this a few weeks ago and it worked, now it doesn't.
I have tried a battery pull while the phone is on, registered on the network again and had the service books resent and nothing works.
Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas of how to fix it?

Can you please provide more information? Are you getting any error message when attaching or sending the pictures? Are you able to send other types of attachments? Is this happening for all email accounts on your BlackBerry?
