How to default Sending CostCentre in Timesheet
Dear Freinds,
I have to default values for the Activity type and Sending Cost center. I have used the
USER exit CATS0002 . But this is not surving the purpose , this is working if iam entering the no of hours
and press enter then the Activity typeand Sending Cost Center are getting defaulted.
My requirement is that when i enter transaction CAT2 and fill the catsprofile,personnel no , date and say create..........i mmediately i should be able default values for Cost center and Sending cost center.
iam not able to find the required user exit out of the 12 user exits(CATS0001,CATS0002,CATS0003,CATS0004
,CATS0005,CATS0006,CATS0007,CATS0008,CATS0009,CATS0010,CATS0011,CATS0012) available for CAT2. Could any one please let me know in which user exits it works. has one did a similar requirement please let me know.

I have same requirement as asked above, actually the requirement is that the cost center which is maintained in (Sending Cost center and activitiy type ) in the infotype 0315 i wanted to default the values for that employee in the CAT2 transaction.
ie. the requirement is for an employee the costcenter and activity are being maintained in the 0315 infotype , for the same employee if you the profile and date and say create we wanted the Cost center and Activity type being defaulted , could you please let me know is this possible through user exit ??
i have tried using the exit have tried using from the user exit EXIT_SAPLCATS_002 , as per the logic of this user exit it gets triggers only if i enters hours and it will not gets triggers when i say create immediately after i enter personnel no ,profile and date . It is is getting trigger only after me entering the Cats hours there by this not fulfilling the requirement .
My requiremnt is only when the enter the personnel no , profile and date and press F5 (create) the values for that employee maintained in the infotyep 0315 should get defaulted . Please let me know how i can default those values on the cat 2 from 0315.

I set the send from email ID as Generic Identifier for host and send to email ID as Generic Identifier for trading partner and used it in the agreement. How ever still the email message is generated with "[email protected]" as send from email ID.
However I noticed that the "FROM" field in the wire message is updated with the correct send from email ID which I used as the Generic Identifier for host.
Please advise. -
How do I send pictures from iphoto to a group via email instead of to just one individual? I can't type in more than one name or send the pictures to a group.
I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

Send email default sender to match email settings of logged in user
Hi,
I was wondering how i could add this into my site.
If you look at other sites the user can put in their email settings and then view their inbox from within the site when logged in.
1st Question is: What settings do I need to store in a table for the user to setup their email settings. I assume the obvious server name, username and password.
2nd Question is: Does anyone know how to add in an email view, free would be good.
3rd Question which is the most important to addt is this: I want the user to input their email settings in their user profile page so hence need to know what settings to store in the table. From their i want to when using the addt send email SB to check the user logged in session and match the userid and use their settings to send the email.
I know how to use the recordset to get the settings of the person who has logged in as that is not too difficult but instead of using the kt default sender which you input in control panel i would want it to use the person who has logged ins email settings, how can i stop addt from using the default sender and what code would i use in my page for addt to send the email using that person email settings?

thanks for getting back to me. what i was hoping was that the user could send the email via the site suing their own email settings?
so say the domain is domain.com which the newsletter application sits on. but the user has his own domain of example.com with his own email settings.
what i have done is create a mini newsletter system using addt. i wanted to allow the user to input their own mail server settings and when it clicked send addt would use the email settings to send the email via php.
there is newsletter system like "constant contact" which you can use to send using their system however it comes into the inbox as if from the person who sent it.

How do I send instance for manual recovery at run time.

I have a BPEL process within which I am trying to handle a business error. I understand using the default-policies on the application server I can send a message for manual recovery. But is it possible to force an instance into the manual recovery queue in the event of a handled error?
I have previosuly used the default policies to route remote/binding faults to the activities tab (manual recovery) tab and the users find this useful to adjust XM land retry, re-throw etc. But can we do the same for errors handled within the BPEL. So if I have a catch all within my process how would I send the instance to this manual recovery queue.

How to delete sender personalities from deleted accounts?
I'm helping a friend eliminate several obsolete mail accounts in the Tiger Mail program.
She has deleted the old accounts (in Mail Preferences), and now has a single .mac mail account which she is using via Apple Mail, not the browser.
When she composes a new message, the default sending account is still her identity in one of the deleted accounts. She can use the pop-up to switch her identity to her dot-mac account, but how can she make that the default -- and eliminate the obsolete ID from the deleted account?
FYI, the deleted account ID shows in Red on the identity popup when composing mail.
She has rebooted her G5 iMac and the problem persists.
She is running an early version of Tiger (10.4.2?), but I'm not going to talk her through upgrading that over long-distance phone.
The Mail Preferences for her dot-mac mail account appear to be in order and the account works fine. But the deleted account identity still hangs around as the default when composing.Hi Boece: I'm not familiar with mai preferences within 10.4.2: But maybe give this a try. Within Mail preferences go to "Composing tab" and check mid way down the pane to "Send new mail from" within the drop down list select the account required form there. Good Luck

Pages does not run on Windows.
Word cannot open a Pages file.
If you want someone without pages to be able to open your attachment, you will have to send it in a format openable on the recipient's computer.
If the recipient needs only to read the document, the most universal format is pdf. To send a pdf copy of your file, press command-P to open the Print dialogue, then click the PDF button and choose email PDF. This will open a new message in your default email client and attach the pdf file to that message.
If the recipient needs to be able to edit/change your document, and has MS Word, then either Save a copy as a Word file or go File > Export and choose Word as the file format for the export.
Be aware that MS Word does not support all features of Pages (and vice versa), and that formatting of the document may be affected by font substitution if you use fonts that are not available on the recipient's machine.

I am using ActionScript 2.0 for my app development. I have checked XML and LoadVars class. These classes by default send/receive data either in XML or name/value pair format. I want to send data in JSON format and receive the response in JSON format. How can I achieve this behavior using AS2.0. I have noticed that AS3.0 has the capabilities to do so. My client platform doesn't support AS3.0. Can anybody suggest a way to achieve this?

How to i send attachments without embedding
How do I send email messages with attachments that are only attached, not embedded in the message? I saw an earlier post that suggested I check the Windows friendly preference, but I don't find this.
When you click on the attachment button (the paper clip) then there's the Windows friendly checkbox. I think it's checked by default.

Default sending account in BT Yahoo Beta
My BT Yahoo email address is set up as 'default sending account' as viewed in Mail Options. However when I compose a new email it selects the first email from a drop-down list of sub-accounts instead of my default. If I fail to notice this I end up sending an email from the 'wrong' address.

Field Symbols
Field symbols are placeholders or symbolic names for other fields. They do not physically reserve space for a field, but point to its contents. A field symbol cam point to any data object. The data object to which a field symbol points is assigned to it after it has been declared in the program.
Whenever you address a field symbol in a program, you are addressing the field that is assigned to the field symbol. After successful assignment, there is no difference in ABAP whether you reference the field symbol or the field itself. You must assign a field to each field symbol before you can address the latter in programs.
Field symbols are similar to dereferenced pointers in C (that is, pointers to which the content operator * is applied). However, the only real equivalent of pointers in ABAP, that is, variables that contain a memory address (reference) and that can be used without the contents operator, are reference variables in ABAP Objects.
All operations programmed with field symbols are applied to the field assigned to it. For example, a MOVE statement between two field symbols moves the contents of the field assigned to the first field symbol to the field assigned to the second field symbol. The field symbols themselves point to the same fields after the MOVE statement as they did before.
You can create field symbols either without or with type specifications. If you do not specify a type, the field symbol inherits all of the technical attributes of the field assigned to it. If you do specify a type, the system checks the compatibility of the field symbol and the field you are assigning to it during the ASSIGN statement.
Field symbols provide greater flexibility when you address data objects:
If you want to process sections of fields, you can specify the offset and length of the field dynamically.
You can assign one field symbol to another, which allows you to address parts of fields.
Assignments to field symbols may extend beyond field boundaries. This allows you to address regular sequences of fields in memory efficiently.
You can also force a field symbol to take different technical attributes from those of the field assigned to it.
The flexibility of field symbols provides elegant solutions to certain problems. On the other hand, it does mean that errors can easily occur. Since fields are not assigned to field symbols until runtime, the effectiveness of syntax and security checks is very limited for operations involving field symbols. This can lead to runtime errors or incorrect data assignments.
While runtime errors indicate an obvious problem, incorrect data assignments are dangerous because they can be very difficult to detect. For this reason, you should only use field symbols if you cannot achieve the same result using other ABAP statements.
For example, you may want to process part of a string where the offset and length depend on the contents of the field. You could use field symbols in this case. However, since the MOVE statement also supports variable offset and length specifications, you should use it instead. The MOVE statement (with your own auxiliary variables if required) is much safer than using field symbols, since it cannot address memory beyond the boundary of a field. However, field symbols may improve performance in some cases.

Effect
This statement declares a symbolic field called <fs>. At runtime, you can assign a concrete field to the field symbol using ASSIGN. All operations performed with the field symbol then directly affect the field assigned to it.
You can only use one of the additions.

You can define the type of the field symbol using additions 2 to 7 (just as you can for FORM parameters (compare Defining the Type of Subroutine Parameters). When you use the ASSIGN statement, the system carries out the same type checks as for USING parameters of FORMs.
This addition is not allowed in an ABAP Objects context. See Cannot Use Obsolete Casting for FIELD SYMBOLS.

Effect
Assigns any (internal) field string or structure to the field symbol from the ABAP Dictionary (s). All fields of the structure can be addressed by name: <fs>-fieldname. The structured field symbol points initially to the work area wa specified after DEFAULT.
The work area wa must be at least as long as the structure s. If s contains fields of the type I or F, wa should have the structure s or at least begin in that way, since otherwise alignment problems may occur.

In full Editor, expert tab, go to File>save for web. In the dialog that comes up, GIF is the default; change that to JPEG. Under "Image size" >new size, make the longest side 800 px. Be sure that "constrain proportions" is checked. Apply. Save this as JPEG and try sending it to yourself as a test. -
