How to define a new format of report in TestStand?

Hi,
The report autogeneration by TestStand is not suitable to print to my situation.
So I want to define a new format of HTML report by myself. But I do not know how to get a new blank one.

Check the si_kind or so_progid property of object. You can use oInfoObject.getKind() to retrieve that.
a crystal report would return crystalreport a pdf would return pdf etc.

When you have gone through the path you describe you end up with a screen with a line for "define transaction types". To the left of the line are two icons - one to execute the function (the execute icon) and one with documentation (the text icon). Click on the documentation icon.

Do this,
->> Open the require Document.
for ex. IF you add the UDF in Marketing Document(Sales/Purchase)
1. Goto the UDF (or) any Default(Original) Field and Click ShiftAltF2.
2. Select the SEARCH BY SAVED QUERY.
3. Assign the FMS Query.
4. Select the AUTO REFRESH WHEN FIELD CHENGES.
5. Select the require Auto refresh field
6. Check the Refresh Regularly (or) Display Saved Values.

How to define a new parameter

Hi,
I want to improve a search by defining a new parameter. This parameter will replace (1,2,3,4) which is show below.
.. documentid IN (1,2,3,4)
Is it possible to define such parameters in APEX/SQL? if so, how can I do it? (I have tried some possible solutions but I did not get a result.)
(Oracle 10.2, APEX 3.2)

I suppose you are talking about a report, right? I see 2 potential problems to be worked around:
1- how to pass the comma in an URL parameter, without making APEX understanding it as a separator for multiple parameters?
if you're running the report from a branch in other page, just check the 'save before branching' property.
Otherwise you will have to escape the commas, replacing it by some other character (like a '*', for example) right before submitting the page - of course you will need to add a computation to decode the conversion made (from '*' back to ',') in your report, in a Before Page style.

2- how to utilize the parameter in the context of your query?

We use 11.5.8 Oracle Payables, We need to define a new tax (royalty tax) exactly similar to Withholding Tax.
In the invoice distribution the tax line should be negative figure which will deduct the payment amount just like in WHT.
Please let us know what type of Tax we should define to solve this and how to apply it in Invoices.

You description of Scenario is indicating that you should withhold a part of Invoice amount i.e the Amount is inclusive of Invoice Amount.
Hence I think WHT is suitable for you.
and how to apply it in Invoices.
Define Withholding Tax options in Payable Options window.
Define a Withholding Tax Code and Group.
Enable WHT at Supplier Site and assign particular Tax group to Supplier Header or Site as per requirement.
Define Special Calender Withholding Tax.
When supplier is selected at Invoice level, Withholding Tax group shall be automatically populated at invoice level, which will take care of Withholding at the time of Invoice Validation or Payment as per Options set.

I do not think that is possible because the total value of the items must equal the value at header.
You can maybe add an extra text item for these costs if you do not want them added to the other items.

How to add a new font into Report Builder and Oracle Forms/Reports Server?

Hi,
I've searched the forum and can't find this being discussed.
My developers run Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 on their XP laptops.
Their reports run (in production) on Oracle Forms/Reports Server 10.1.2.0.2.
This server runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
They've got a client who wants reports using the "Garamond Western" font.
So....how do I get this font onto the developer's Report Builder laptops, and onto the Oracle Forms/Reports Server?
I've moved various 'Garamond' fonts into C:\WINDOWS\FONTS on both the laptops and the server, but neither seem to recognize it.

This answers 1/2 of my question.
The developer can now use Report Builder on his laptop, with the new fonts.
But when he moves this new Report to the Oracle Application Server/Forms-Reports Server, it fails to use the new fonts.
The Oracle App Server/Forms-Report Server is Version 10.1.2.0.2. It runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
I have installed the exact same fonts on this server, into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.
I have used REGEDIT to change REPORTS_PATH....and placed C:\WINDOWS\Fonts; as the first value in this field.
I have then stopped and restarted the Forms-Reports Server.

You should use the observer user for performing read-only operations.
This is one of the users that is created when you installed AccAD.
Here is the section that mentions it from our administration guide:
You are asked to provide passwords for the root, admin, and observer
users. Make note of these passwords since you will be required to provide them later.
When the installation is complete, log out root and log on again as admin.
Important
Perform any additional operations using the secured admin account. You can use the observer account to access the AccAD Administrator web UI in read-only mode only; this user cannot log on to the machine.

first i want to excuse me for my not very good englisch. i4m a german
programmer and i have a little problem. i wrote a report for
printing quotations / offers. the user has the option to print
or to send an e-mail with pdf-attachment. and there is the problem.
the filename of the report is always the same ( report.pdf ) or in german
( bericht.pdf ) but i want to define the filename myself. how to do this ???

the report-engine starts, the e-mail client opened and search for
an e-mail-kontact named whatever.pdf gg

V_WHERE should be defined same way as regular parameter. It should acquire certain value that makes the query syntaxically correct bofore the sql is run, usually in the After Param Form trigger, e.g.
v_where := 'WHERE 1=1';

I have been using Network Monitor with a self defined parser for a long time, however, I would like to switch to Message Analyer since it has more support. I found that there has no conversion tool for converting from .npl file to .opn file, so I decided

I will help, but I'm currently trying to figure out the error you see. I'm able to compile your OPN, so it works for me. In fact, based on the OPN, I'm thinking you made some progress, and then got stuck here. But let's check if we are on the same
page.
Currently I see that it parses anything UDP, since you don't have a where clause limiting it to a single port. Maybe this was on purpose, be what that means for me is that all UDP traffic attempts to use this parsing path. For these cases I see

Is this the problem you are referring to?
Also to perhaps help further, I've made a simple version of DecodeAndDispatchPacket that works for me (at the end). My guess is that you wanted to use the MsgType to determine how to parse further. DHCP.OPN has an example you could reference,
look for "type OptionType", and see how it use the OptionsChoice to create a dynamic definition.

[h]:mm:ss how can i get this format in report

Hello Gurus,
 I am creating a report in BEx and have to sum up HH:MM:SS column.I am facing problem while the sum is more then 24 hours. The custom format of excel[h]:mm:ss helps in getting the the total of HH:MM:SS even if the total is more then 24 hours.
 How can i implement in BEx.??

Hi,
I tried following process as work around ,
Characteristics Info object of type TIMS created and included in the ODS
Create replacement path variable for info object
For Getting Hour out of info object value .
Replace with key
From value
Offset start 0 offset end 2
For Getting Minute out of info object value .
Replace with key
From value
Offset start 2 offset end 2
For Getting Second out of info object value .
Replace with key
From value
Offset start 4 offset end 2
Now create a formula like
Hour + ( Minute / 60 ) + (Seconds / 3600 )
And it gives you correct nubmer of Hours .
