  • How to define reporting time types for 0HR_PT_2 to populate records in rsa3

    hi experts,
    we are implementing Time and Labour and we are using info provider called 0PT_C01.
    for that we have 2 data sources one is 0HR_PT_1 and 0HR_PT_2.
    when i check in RSA3 there are records for 0HR_PT_1 Data source, but for 0HR_PT_2 data source it shows 0 records though the related info types have data.
    i have checked in sdn for the solution, most of the replies are related to maintain Reporting Time Types.
    can you please provide me step by step solution to maintain Reporting Time Types in ECC.
    Regards
    venuscm

    Hi Venu,
    You can maintain reporting time types in SPRO,
    SPRO > Integration with Other SAP Components -> Data Transfer to the SAP Business Information Warehouse -> Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (PI) -> Human Resources -> Actual Employee Times OHR_PT_02 -> Define Reporting Time Types -> Maintain Reporting Time Types
    Check with your HR team about maintaining reporting time types.

  • How to define IDOC as 'type' in 'Data types' ?

    Hi all,
    I am trying to define a data type which accepts multiple occurences of IDOC type in the same message. The required XML should be like this...
    <All_IDOCs>
       <ZUPFIN_>                 <--- this is the IDOC imported into XI
           <IDOC>...
           </IDOC>
       </ZUPFIN>
       <ZUPFIN_>                 <--- this is the IDOC imported into XI
           <IDOC>...
           </IDOC>
       </ZUPFIN>
    <All_IDOCs>
    Now, there are more than 800 fields under <ZUPFIN_> IDOC. So I am trying to find out an easy solution to create the above data type without manuall adding each element.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks.
    - Atul

    Hi Ahmad,
    As I have already mentioned above, I do not want multiple occurences of 'IDOC' element. Instead I want the multiple occurences of 'ZUPFIN_' (in Michael's blog you given by link, it is 'MBGMCR02'). So the example does not help here as roots cannot occur more than once.
    I cannot have anything changed on R/3 side.
    Thanks.

  • Newbie how to define variable of type element?

    JDEV 10.1.3.1
    When I perform the following from BPEL designer in JDEV...
    variable new
    create variable
    Select element type
    Select a local file schema xsd
    Select element of choice
    Seems to define OK but fails to compile. Namespaces appear to include the namespace defined in the xsd.
    When I define variables of type message and browse to the appropriate wsdl and pick a message from there this seems to work / compile just fine.
    I am sure that since I am just getting started that this is a common error, please assist and thanks. Must all variables be defined as message types and reside in a WSDL?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hello John,
    I'm not sure whether it is possible to import a schema into a process directly. What I usually do is to import it into the wsdl-file describing the process interface. This is the file you use to define the client-partnerlink. If your schema is imported correctly, you can access the type-definition via the partner-links-node in the type chooser (this works at least in JDEV 10.1.3.3 and 10.1.3.4).
    To import your schema into the wsdl, you need to go to the structure-view in wsdl-editor and after a right-click on the types-node select "insert types". Inside types you insert XML-Schema, inside schema you need to insert an import-tag. The properties for this tag are the file-location and the target namespace used in the schema. The resulting XML-structure should look like this:
    <wsdl:definitions xmlns:plnk="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/" xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Order_Booking___Shipment" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" name="Order_Processing_SystemPLT" targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Order_Booking___Shipment">
    <wsdl:types>
    <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <import schemaLocation="Order_Booking___Shipment.xsd"
    namespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Order_Booking___Shipment"/>
    </schema>
    </wsdl:types>
    </wsdl:definitions>

  • How to define certain document type (BKPF-BLART) for certain movement (101)

    Sometimes ( I think it is becuase of the tcode)  certain purchase 101 movements create a WA type FI document and some other times purchase 101 movements create WE type FI documents. I have seen a table ( accessing from omba transaction) in which for diffenent tcode´s we have either WE or WA. If we always use migo transaction why sometimes in bkpf we have migo_tr, migo_gi, ....;....
    How should I do in order to create always WE FI documents for purchase 101 movements?
    Thanks in advance.

    Check the settings in SPRO-MM-Inventory Management-Number assignemnt-Define number ranges for accounting documents.
    Here you assign accounting document type to tcodes.
    Normally , WA is used in receipts for MB1C/MIGO_GI tcode - for e.g for 561 mvmt type.
    SAP recomends keeping this setting as it is.
    SAP help text copied here for reference:
    Define Number Assignment for Accounting Documents
    In this step, you set the number ranges for the accounting documents which are created when goods movements or inventory differences are posted.
    Accounting documents in inventory management
    For accounting-relevant goods movements, the system creates two different documents:
    material document
    accounting document
    Both the material documents and the accounting documents have their own document numbers. When inventory differences are posted, the system also creates an accounting document for the physical inventory document.
    In this step, you only maintain the number assignment for accounting documents.
    Document types
    Accounting documents are split into document types to allow differentiated document number assignment, which is the basis for distinguishing between the various accounting operations. A number range is assigned to each document type. In a company code, you have to define number intervals for each number range and fiscal year.
    In inventory management, the transaction determines which document type is used.
    Example: Goods receipt for purchase order
    Requirements
    You have already defined the company code.
    Default Settings
    In the standard SAP System, the following document types are predefined for inventory management:
    WA  for goods issues, transfer postings, other goods receipts
    WE  for goods receipts with reference to purchase orders
    WF  for goods receipts with reference to production orders
    WI  for inventory differences
    WL  for goods issues with reference to deliveries (SD)
    WN  for net posting of goods receipts
    PR  for revaluation documents
    Each document type is already assigned a number range. In company code 0001, number intervals are defined for each number range both for the current and the previous fiscal year.
    Number range 49 with the year-related interval 4900000000 to 4999999999 is assigned to the document types for all goods movements, except goods movements with reference to purchase/production orders.
    Document type WE is used for goods receipts with reference to purchase orders and production orders. This document type is assigned number range 50 with the year-related interval 5000000000 to 5099999999.
    Please note that net postings of goods receipts (document type WN) are not active in the standard SAP System. If you want to post goods receipts net, you have to assign document type WN (instead of WE) to the transaction MB01.
    Document type WI is used for posting inventory differences. This document type is assigned the number range 01 with the year-related interval 0100000000 to 019999999999.
    SAP Recommendation
    Activities
    1. Check whether you can use the standard settings.
    2. If not, you have to add new document types to satisfy your requirements:
    a) Define a new document type under Financial accounting document
    b) types.
    c) Assign a number range to the document type.
    d) Under Financial accounting number ranges, define the year-related number intervals for the given number range in your company code. If you do not want to use the year-related number assignment method, enter 9999 in the Year field.
    e) Under Allocate document type to transaction, assign the relevant document type to the transaction codes of inventory management.
    Document type PR (revaluation documents) is already assigned.
    Notes on transport
    You transport number range objects as follows:
    Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
    All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
    Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
    All other activities are linked to the automatic transport.

  • How to define new variable types in BPEL?

    Is there a way to define a new variable type directly in BPEL, without modifying any of the WSDL files used by Partnerlinks?
    Or to import an XSD with variable definitions?

    It depends on what you want to use the variable for. You may not need to do it yourself. Let's assume you have a main wsdl for your service that you can't change but it has the inputs and outputs already defined.
    In the middle you want to grab the input and shove it into a database table. You can create a new partner link. Rright click in the swim lanes on the BPEL page and pick the little database icon. Go through the steps to link to the db via an insert or package. You will need a db connection to do this.
    jdeveloper will create the partner link wsdl and schema for you to match the table or the ins/outs of the package/procedure automatically.
    Then drag an invoke onto the page and pull the arrow to your new partner link. Use the magic wand on the invoke screen to create the input/output variables.
    Then you can use a transformation or assign/copy to pull the data from the input message variable of the main wsdl into the input variable of your database wsdl.
    Or your situation may not be that complicated...if you click the little (X) on the edge of the box on the BPEL screen you can go through a picking process.

  • How to draw super & sub types

    Hi,
    How do I draw super and subtypes that subtypes would automatically inherit mandatory supertype attributes?
    Also, when I was putting one entity on the other, once I clicked the other the first wend behind (normal window behavior).
    Can I make the subtype entity stay on top permanently? How do I switch between the front and back entities?
    Thanks,
    dbuff

    Double click on the entity you want to be the subtype. Click the drop down list on the Supertype property in the dialog box. Pick the supertype from the list of entities display. Then the subtype will automatically go "inside" the supertype and be visible. You may have to resize the supertype to make it easier to size the subtype properly.
    Done this way, the subtype will automatically inherit the attributes from the supertype when you forward engineer to relational.

  • How to define "byte stream type" for "open file"?

    Hello,
    I created some numbers (type "double") in Matlab and stored in a file. What value should I use to specify the "byte stream type" for "open file" in Labview? Should I put something like "DBL" or "I32". I don't know where to find the list of legal "types" in Labiew help.
    Thanks so much!
    Felicia

    Looks like 7.1:
    The Matlab "double" is 64 bits (8 bytes). It doesn't make much sense to use an integer datatype to read a floating point value, so you would use DBL in LabVIEW. The numeric data types table can be found here.
    By the way, this assumes you saved the file as raw binary, as opposed to a .mat file, which is something different.

  • Defining New product type in CRM 5.0

    Hi Guys,
    Can anyone tell me how to define new Product Type for CRM(Standalone Products) like material, Service, warranty, financing .
    Thanks in advance
    amar

    Hi Kovela,
    I haven't come across any IMG activity which allows to create a new product type in CRM. Why do you want to have a separate product type. It is not so easy to create a product type because you also need to create additional attributes and set types. In general all existing product types are stored to table COMC_PR_TYPE. Also you need to maintain a separate structure (COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API) for each product type.
    Why don;t you enhance the existing product type by creating new attributes and set types as per your requirement.
    <b>Do not forget to reward if it helps,
    </b>

    You can do this type of testing in these conditions.

    I recently had a Real type added to a repository I'm working on and noticed a dump in the API itself when trying to fetch data from that field. I'm running 5.5 so you may be experiencing a different issue. I haven't resolved the issue yet as it isn't a priority but I will most likely move to a string field and just ensure that the field has its decimal rule respected logically.
