Hi.
I want to make the app server add "charset=windows-1251" into Content-Type: header line for server1 virtual server.
Content-Type: text/html;charset=windows-1251I tried to set Character set variable on Virtual Servers->server1->Doc Handling->International Characters page to windows-1251, apply changes and restart the instance but that did not help. I still receive just

How to define default subtypes for Infotype 0105 on entry

Hello;
I have spend an entire day trying to look into PA configuration to determin how to make specific Subtype of the 0105 Communication Infotype automatically appear when an HR person is entering in a new employee.
Currently we have the 0001, 0010, and ADP subtypes automatically appear in the Communication Infotype screen when the person is entering in a new employee. I was asked to create three new Subtypes for Infortype 0105 and have these new subtypes automatically appear on the data entry screen for Infotype 0105.
I can not find anywhere in configuration how to do this. I ahve burnt an entire day searching configuration and have about had it with this garbage.
Can someone please point me to specific spot in configuration where these subtypes of and Infotype can be identified as default data entry screens.
I would greatly appreciate any help ... since I am not a HR Configurator ... just a plain old ABAP'er who has lost our configurators.

To create subtypes follow:
Tcode: SPRO
Path: Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Communication>Create Communication Types
Half the job is done. Then include those subtypes in your hiring action. To do so:
Tcode: SPRO
Path: Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Customizing Procedures>Actions>Define infogroups>Info group
Select your hiring infogroup and create new entries with operation INS for 105 and the three subtypes.
You are all set!

DefaultSearchOperator=hasAsSubstring
DefaultNBFieldSearchOperator=hasAsSubstring
Restart the server.
(It is worth noting that in 10gr3 since database search is the default they changed the out of the box operator to matches to make sure performance was as good as possible.)

Hello Sergey.
If it's still relevant for you. You can change default work center in navigation bar profile of your business role (tx. CRMC_UI_NBLINKS). On the first screen (where all navigation bar profiles are displayed) there is a third column "Link ID". Here you put link id of the default Work Center.

How to define default apps to open email attachments

Whenever I open an email attachment the IOS email client open a quick visualizar. I would like to define an app to open the attachment. For example, the visualizer is not able to open Zip files. I have to touch and hold in order to select the app I should use to open the attachment. I would like to define the app that could be opened with typical files.

You can't define a particular app to use to open a file. Any app that will work with the file type that you want to open will appear in the Open In window.

How to define the default activity for an unbounded task flow?

In the new "Fusion Developer’s Guide for Oracle Application Development Framework 11g Release 1" documentation at the bottom of page 14-3 it states "An unbounded task flow .... contains a default activity, an activity designated as the first to run in the unbounded task flow, because an unbounded task flow does not have a single point of entry."
What I can't find is how to define the default activity in an unbounded task flow and where this is recorded? Can we set this via the task flow diagrammer, and which configuration file is it stored?
I note the first time I run the application with an unbounded task flow a dialog asks me which of the activities in the adfc-config.xml file to make the default, but I can't find where this is recorded.
Anybody have any ideas?

In fact this information is nothing that belongs into the taskflow meta data because unbounded taskflow have more than one entry point and there is no notion of default. Its a tools setting (JDeveloper) we had before

When I export a video in Premiere Pro, the default thumbnail (appearing in windows file explorer for example) is never the best.
At my job, I need to create a lot of video that I publish through a CMS. Every time, i need to reset the preview thumbnail of the video because the default one is not accurate.

Either manually do a 'define editor=vi' when you log in through sql*plus, or put that in the glogin.sql in $ORACLEHOME/sqlplus/admin or put that in a login.sql in the directory you run sqlplus from.

Default-charset in oc4j 10.1.3

We are planning on migrating to OC4J 10.1.3.
It seems default-charset in global-web-application.xml is not recognized by OC4J 10.1.3 as it was in 9.0.3.
I can see lot of discussions about default-charset in this forum, could not find any answer to my problem.
Here is the header of my global-web-application.xml

In previous OC4J versions, the "servlet-webdir"
attribute was used as the default servlet path
whenever there was no "servlet-mapping" element
defined in the "web.xml" file of the Web application.
The above excerpt indicates that this is no longer
true for OC4J 10.1.3 -- unless you set the java
[System] property "http.webdir.enable" to 'true'. In
fact, without a "servlet-mapping" element you cannot
activate your servlet at all!
My point is that after reading the above, that I must
forget everything I knew about OC4J (in versions
prior to 10.1.3). 10.1.3 is a totally
different product to its predecessors. I must now
start learning OC4J from scratch. So pardon me while
I throw the last four years of my work experience
with OC4J down the toilet.I can see your point and share your sentiment. However, your last exaggeration sounds funny. That was just a minor change needed for security requirement. In case you use Jdeveloper, servlet declaration and mapping will be done automatically for you. After all, if it does not work, this forum and formal oracle support will help you.

How to define data-sources-alias.xml to use Oracle data source

I created Oracle jdbc Data Source named "MYDS" in Visual Admin. I added the alias = MYDS_ALIAS. I set the Initial Connection to 2. On the Monitor tab, I see a green line running across the screen. The datasource MYDS is connected to the Oracle.
Now, I would like to define "data-sources-alias.xml" to use MYDS.
When creating data-source-aliases.xml it creates the alias by default on ${com.sap.datasource.default} which is the default DB.
I followed the link --> How to point data-source-aliases.xml to another Datasource
and my data-sources-alias.xml is now:

How to define a persistant queue in glassfish v2.x

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to ask how to define a persistent queue in glassfish v2.x.
Basically I want that, if there are un-consumed messages in the queue and the goes goes down, the messages will still be there once the queue comes up.
I haven't seen where I can configure these features, or whether it's a default setting.
If you can provide some screen shots for the configuring that'd be great.
If glassfish can't do it what other similar program can I use?

Including the ports if I'm correct. There's some nice links to HOW-TO documents as well.
I'm not that well familiar with JMS myself, but if I'm not mistaken it should not matter where you define your queues or topics, since they should be looked up through JNDI anyway. But please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
