Have looked on forums... 1. Cannot find "Go" on finder menu. 2. No library found. 3 Cannot delete nor can I drag old templates into the trash.
My templates folder is pages is cluttered with old templates. Are they here forever? Or, can they be removed?

Simpler version of deleting templates using Pages:
Utilizing v. 5.5.2
Go to Pages and select New
Select My Templates
If you don't have the right click enabled on your trackpad, click control and select the template you want to delete which gives you the option to Rename or Delete the file.

Switch to Finder and hold down the Option key while you look in the Go menu for Library. Once in this User Library, navigate to Application Support, iWork, Pages, Templates, My Templates. Send the ones you don't want to the Trash.

10 marks for recognising the Latin (sort of) that is the placeholder text in your template.
You are using a Word Processing template. WP templates have content flowing from page to page. As one page fills up, a new one is created. If some of that text is deleted or displaced the pages retract.
When you combine text, invisibles like word spaces, returns, tabs, page breaks etc with objects that have text wrap set, the mix can behave in an apparent odd fashion.
Start with showing where everything is:
Menu > View > Show Layout/Invisibles
Start with getting rid of any excess returns you may have used to "position" things. Next cut and paste objects like textboxes, shapes, charts and tables "Inline" ie in as part of the text. If necessary also turn off text wrap on objects or minimise it so that doesn't push text completely out of the way.
Insert Section breaks in the Text where you want fixed breaks in the layout these will provide separation between layout on different pages.
Basically you need to clean up your layout or think about doing it another way.
If there is a lot of layout, you will need to learn Pages methods for doing this in a WP template or do it in a Layout template where each page is individual and all objects are floating with no default text area.

Your remark that Yvan's "remarks are completely useless to (you)" may be correct, but that's hardly his fault.
Your question was posted in the Numbers community, a place for discussions of issues and techniques specific to the Apple spreadsheet application Numbers, part of the iWork set.
This community is one of several at the Apple Support Communities site, a place for discussion of technical issues specific to Apple hardware and software.
Your question regarding removing unwanted templates, posted in the middle of a discussion of Numbers templates (with a side trip to templates made with Pages, the word processing and page layout application that is also part of the iWork set) contained no reference to any application other than Numbers having produced those templates.
Yvan may have added 'unclearness' to your understanding of the issue, but the origin of that unclearness is your initial post. In case you've forgotten it, here is that post again, quoted in its entirety:

Where in that post do you make it clear that the custom templates you are talking about are "MS Word" templates? Where do you even mention that fact?

Actually, you did not report "there is no iWork in (your) system,"t. You did report that "iWork does not show up" when you followed the path given.
You had made no mention to that time that iWork was not installed on your computer, and the fact that you had posted a question about removing templates in a forum(and in a discussion thread) specifically for one of the iWork applications would lead any reasonably intelligent reader to assume that the application was on your computer, and that, like the other users in this discussion, you were asking about Numbers templates, or at least about templates for one of the iWork applications.
Given that assumption, and given that the supplied path was the correct path to a user's custom templates for numbers, the most likely explanation of iWork's name missing from the path would be the one Yvan assumed—a misstep by the user at the beginning of the path.

Same problem here (no graphics in header or footer) and the problem has been reported months ago. It is another bug/feature lost when Apple moves from 09 to the iCloud-compatible versions. Complain to Apple, you may have better chance than me and they may finally listen to their users....

THE use of the apple support is a mess also.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

Swipe through your screens and swipe to the left of your Home screen. Type in App Store in the search field. It's a permanent pre installed Apple app so it can't be deleted.
If you can't locate it on the iPad for some reason, connect the device to your computer. Right or control click the iPad under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click: Restore from backup

Pages - how to make a template?

I need to print in two colums, landscape, on both sides of the paper. So far, no problem as my Kyocera 6950 does it automatically. BUT the paper I use has a printed logo on one side (let's call it page nr 1/3/5/7 etc) and I need obviously not to print on that logo which is at the right bottom corner.
Question: do you know someone who can help me do this? I have scanned in the paper, I can attach to an email how I do it at the moment and I want to import from an rtf file the text to be printed (some 200 pages). I don t see any way I can post on this forum the actual papers -
As you guessed: I am a mac user, not a designer :-) and completely lost ...

Open your home page... create any areas that are going to be 'editable', meaning areas that you are going to change on any child pages created from the template eg: main content area. All other areas will be marked as non-editable. You will not be able to change these areas in the child pages... this would be areas like the header, the menu bar, the footer.
Save as a template. A new folder will be created named Templates, and the file ( with an extension of dwt will be created inside this folder - all done automatically).
When you want to create a new 'child' page from this template...
FILE>New>Create from Template
you'll see a list of templates that you can choose from, the one you save (as above) should be on the list.

One major difference between using Templates and SSIs?
When you make a change to a template page, you will need to re-upload all the pages to the server that were changed - may become very tedious if it is a very large site.
With using SSI, you make a change to one file and only have to upload the one file and all pages on the server will be update accordingly.

You can only edit the content of the chromeappsstore.sqlite file with an SQLIte manager like this Firefox extension:

# open Profile Directory -> chromeappsstore.sqlite -> Go
# open Table > webappsstore2
# select the "Browse & Search" tab to see all entries in that table
You can select the "batwen.:about" "blockedLinks" line and click the Delete button on the toolbar to remove that record and reset the deleted sites.

Sounds like you have "updated" to Pages 5.
Welcome to the "New", "Improved" version.
Apple has removed so many features (over 90) from Pages 5 that it simply can not open the older templates, so it removed most of them.
It didn't warn its users however that Pages 5 would do the same thing to them, ie screw up their files.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.
