How to delete a View(Local) defined on a Query in Bex Web Analyzer

Hi,
I created a No of Views (Local) on a query in Bex Web Analyzer and saved them.
How can i delete the view i created when i checked the PFCG i can't find the views i created

Right click and delete when you're in the "open" dialog in Analyzer.

I think the standard template in 2004s is named 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN. You can find it in Web Application Designer, open, and search for the technical name. If you want to change the number of rows or columns, you can find this setting near the bottom of the XHTML view of the template:
<bi:BLOCK_COLUMNS_SIZE value="4" />
<bi:BLOCK_ROWS_SIZE value="17" />
Then just save, and ignore the error messages.

How to delete a view from a enhanced component?

I wish to know the possibility of deleting a view from a enhanced component.
I have two components IUICMD & IUICMRD. I have enhanced 4 views in the first component IUICMD using enhancement set ZCRM_ENHSET. There is no problem with that. But when i try to use the same enhancement set ZCRM_ENHSET for enhancing the second component IUICMRD, it's enhanceable in enhancement set. But 2 views IUICRMD/Meterreading & IUICMRD/MainVS is also copied to first component and available as enhanceable views in First component.
I want to delete those views from the first component. Let me know How to delete a view from a enhanced component?

Hi Raju,
If you do not need those enhancment views in any of the components ( ie IUICMD & IUICMRD ) , then open the BSP application in SE80 , under controller, there will be files with extension .do as yourviewname.do ...delete those !! These will not dele the Z classes....but just deletes their presence from the BSP...
I would suggest following approch :
1) go to SM34 , open BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT....Select you enhancement set and click on enhancement defination in leftside panel.
2) now select the IUICMRD and CLICK ON CONTROLLER SUBSTITUTION...
3) now you will see all the enhancement available for that component...Delete the entries for those two views from there...
This is just deleting the entries...this does not delete any objects from the system.
4)Now click on Back arrow, and delete the entry for IUICMRD...save.
5) Now open BSPWD_CMP_WD for IUICMRD...you will get the enhance component button... You can now freshly enhance this component..
6) We did not touch to the entries for IUICMD in the BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT...So now if you open the component IUICMD in workbench with you enhancement set...you will see all the enhancement..including those two views which you wanted to delete from IUICMRD.
7) If you want to delete the enhancement for these views...then right click on the enhance views and select Delete enhancement...You will get a popup listing IMPL, CTXT and CN classes, select all Z entries in the pop up and those all will be deleted physically from the system...and thus view enhancement will be rolled back...

If you are not sure, you can create copy of IMPL, CTXT and CN classes in se80 and then proceed for deletion..You can also make copy of entire BSP in se 80 before deletion...

Max column in one view of BEx web analyzer

Hi,
could anyone please tell me how many columns maximum are displayed in one screen of BEx web analyzer?
I remember it is 6 columns. if more than 6 columns, the more columns will be cut. Am I correct?

Hi,
U can display more than 6 columns,Open the web template in your webapplication designer, select the table section and go in the properties. There you'll be able to specify the number of columns.
You need to change the following parameters within the Web ApplicationDesigner.
DATA_COLUMN_FROM
DATA_COLUMN_TO
BLOCK_coLUMN_SIZE
BLOCK_COLUMN_STEP_SIZE
There is no "simple" way to use scrolling instead of paging ...although if you set the DATA_COLUMN_TO = 0, then all columns are displayed, which means you can use your browser scroll bars, but the leading column(s) won't be frozen.
But you can change these values when you drop an Analysis_Item onto a template in the WAD, but not sure if you are able to edit the standard tables from the WAD. f you go to transaction SE38 and run program RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70, then you can search for the name of the standard table that is being used, and potentially add in the required commands there to change the number of columns that are displayed. If you are only seeing 6 columns, then you may find there is a table called 0PATTERN_TABLE_14R4C or something along those lines ...

After user create a useless MRP view data in Material master data , how to remove it ?

Material master once created cannot be deleted.Only thing u can do is to mark it for deletion
Go to Logistics > Materials management > Material master > Material > Flag for deletion > Immediately.
Give the necessary data that is needed for the view you want to delete.
Press and flag the view you want to delete.
Now the view is flagged for deletion. This means that it's use is limited and it will be cleaned up or really deleted at the next clean up of the system.

How to delete time machine local backup?

My MacBook Pro is running out of hard drive space, and the culprit is Time Machine. Apparently Time Machine stores local backups on the hard drive when it is not connected to the backup drive, and then is supposed to delete them when it does backup. However, this causes huge problems because I'm running out of hard drive space. I ran the following in Terminal to turn off the local backups:
sudo tmutil disablelocal
However, that has not freed up the hard drive space taken by the local backups. Any ideas on how to reclaim that space?

No. It makes them at all times, whether the regular backup drive is connected or not.

No, they're "thinned" automatically after 24 hours to one per day, then deleted after a week (or, deleted as necessary if your OSX drive gets over 80% full).
So your problem is almost certainly elsewhere. See Where did my Disk Space go? for the common culprits, and ways to find less-common ones.

How to delete a view in a viewset

Hi,
I had gone through the PDF given for Creating a Web Dynpro Application Accessing ABAP Functions.
In that there is a viewset by name FlightListViewSet and 2 views
And the layout of viewset is T Layout .It should have Top,Left,Right.
He named cells as Cell[1][1] and cell[1][2]
and there is no top view.
How to disable Top portion of viewset and how to rename Left as cell[1][1] /Something else

       in ur requirment there is no option available in T layout.
     1.the following option availabe in choosing the Grid layout.
           choose grid layout..then go to grid layout properties(right click in ur layout present in ur window then choose properties.)
    2. then select what u want ?
      select colomns->1
                rows-->2
   otherwise what u want.
3. there is no option available the remaing the cell like cell(1,1)....this is the default name.

How to delete a View in data source in Essbase Studio

Hi All, I am not able to delete the existing View in datasource as one of the properties of the View has been changed and studio is not picking up those changes. I removed all dependencies(dimensional elements, Alias set, Hierarchies, Schemas). I tried to drop the View and add it again but the option to drop the view is grayed out. I restarted the Studio service as well and tried it in vain. Can anyone help on this issue.

that is one of the problems with Studio. Once added you can't remove a table or view from a datasource connection. This is changed in 11.1.2.

i explain my problem detailedly:
the guy in my company created a material master data using tcode mm01.
the material type should be semi-manufactured good,but he have already created
the material as finished good.
so i want to change the material type of that material using tcode mmam,
but i was not successful .the system tell me :
the new material type requires that all the follwing deta for the mat. is
first archived and deleled.
sales data (mvke) .
i want to change the material of the finished goods type using tcode oms2   ,but i am afraid there are
other prolems.

How to delete last user session from backend SQL query?

Sometimes user session gets closed between some work by any reason.
When next time that user logs to P6, he gets some error or particular functionaly dosen't work for that user or system hangs.
In that case if i decided to clear last session history of that user from database, how to write SQL query?
I don't want to delete all user sessions from table USESSION and USESSAUD, i simply want to delete last user session of particular user (E.g XYZ).

I am quoting this from MOS Doc Id "Why would multiple session records be present in the User Sessions screen in P6 Web, and why might some of them have different IP addresses? (Doc ID 1600172.1)"
Multiple sessions show up for users since different sections of P6 Web have their own sessions associated with them. If a user is authorized to use multiple areas of the software they will have multiple sessions each time they log in. Additionally, if users are closing their browsers before logging out of P6 Web Access you might see some past sessions still appearing in the list. These will eventually be cleared out by background jobs, however you can also reset the sessions in the software by clicking the "Reset User" link (Administer > User Sessions > Manage User Sessions), or by choosing the "Reset All Users" link (Administer > User Sessions > Manage User Sessions) to do this for all past sessions.
Multiple IP addresses for sessions can happen when a user logs in from different machines. For example, a person may login at their desk, but then go to a colleagues workstation to discuss a project, and log in from there. Doing so will leave them with multiple IP addresses in the session records.

How do you pass a custom value on a BW iVew (BEx Web App Query String)

I am using a <b>BW Report iView</b> to display a report (BEx Web App) on a external facing portal. As part of the BEx Web App Query String, I need to pass the customer number. So, I followed the same procedure as the appIntegrator iView and put in the parameter <Custom.Customer number> as part of BEx Web Application Query String, which is supposed to get replaced dynamically with value from the UME by using the custom 'ParameterProvider' service we had written. But, it's not working here. We are using the same Customer Exits for 'ParameterProvider' on the AppIntegrator and it works there. The BW Report is bit different then the appIntegrator iView and I think I am missing something. Need some help to resolve this please. Thank you.

How to assign a query to a web template in WAD

Hello experts,
How do I assign the web template to the actual query? I have a new template wich is a copy of 0ADHOC which I would like to use for a certain query.
Is it sufficient to assign the template of interest in TC 'RSCUSTV21' (standard web template) or does this have no impact in this case?

I'm using BI 7.0, and am having Fredrick's same problem
Nothing was defined in RSCUSTV21, so I typed in the technical name of my own Web Template for Ad-hoc analysis.
However, when I executed the report from the Query Designer, it did not display according to my template. I attempted to empty the cache, as suggested by Bhanu, but it did not work.
When I click on the Information button in BEx Web Analyzer, it still shows the default 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN as the Web Template.
Any ideas? I will assign points to who provides the solution.

When i published the Query/Report on which the View is based to a role i can able to view the View as well.
Let me start from the begining...
I had a Query/Report which got nearly 80 Free Chars (Drilldown)...insted of creating multiple queries
1) I want to create multiple (6) versions of the query as view with 20 free chars and assign them to users according to thier authorisation.
2) How can i limit the Free Chars for drill down in a view
3)How can i grant access to users for a view with out granting access to query
