How to delete a wrong password that Firefox always shows; I tried deleting cookies and profile, but it doesn't help.
Firefox helps filling in forms (eg webmail inlog) but it also shows a wrong inlog (consisting of inlog name plus password). I want to remove wrong inlog names from Firefox. I already tried to remove all cookies for this site, and deleted the default profile from my Mac applications folder. But still several options for inlog on webmail are given. Where can I find the place where inlog suggestions are kept?

This problem is longstanding, but became much worse after newest version of Firefox was downloaded. New version is too fast when using the mouse for me (I am 76 years old). The last time I tried to connect, I received a message that switching to an html version might resolve the problem, but I do not know how to do this. Is a chat with Firefox representative possible? I am running the latest version of Firefox on my Windows XP machine.
I have a bookmark on my bookmarks toolbar called 'Patrick's Hotmail'.
When I click on this it takes me straight to my window's live hotmail inbox. (i.e. It's saved my user name and password and bypasses any login prompts).
I've forgotten my password and have no other way of retrieving it.
I have looked in Options/Security/ShowPasswords - but there is no listing for Windows Live or Hotmail.
I have double checked this but there is nothing that refers back to that bookmark.
Is my password saved in a cookie or some other sort of cache.
Is there any way that I can view it somewhere?

If you do not have the password saved and you also do not remember it then you will have to ask for a password reset and possibly answer a secret question to get access if you do not have set a fall back email address. -

It is an extension to protect the profile with a password, but being an extension that protection can easily be bypassed by starting Firefox in [[Safe mode]].<br />
So do not rely on it.<br />
If you want to protect content then you have to use methods supported by the OS like a separate user account with a password or an encrypted file system. -

Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file.
If you still have the signons.sqlite file that was used in Firefox 31 and older then you could try to recover the passwords saved in that file (you will lose passwords saved in Firefox 32).
You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file.
* reset the <b>signon.importedFromSqlite</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to the default value via the right-click context menu
* delete the <b>logins.json</b> file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed
When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

How do I reset the password that allows me to download reader.. I worked with chat help two hours last night - we have reset a password that lets me into my adobe account but in the download reader process that password will not work - where it says Adobe reader wants to change something and please type in password, just vibrates with the dots glowing purple but will not open…. what do I do to reset that password or get it to function. they would not assist me further they said its a free download and I would need to seek help from forums ( all this is new to me )

however - when I then go to the website to download the Pdf document I need I get a screen with the big red adobe icon that says to complete and down load this document I must launch adobe reader a dn sign the terms of agreement , close browser and reopen.
but thatscren has no choice buttons whatsoever, I cannot find anywhere a adobe reader image to launch - been into launch pad , preferences etc.
so now the loop is the pdf document and the adobe screen saying I must do terms of agreement
like is this Kafka like or what ...

If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?

I changed the password used to access my gmail account. Thunderbird is still using the old password to access the account. How do I change the password that Thunderbird is using. The last time this happened I ended up creating a new Thunderbird account for gmail. Creating the new Thunderbird account at least let me enter the new password. I really don't want to have three Thunderbird accounts for the same gmail account.
Please do not respond with suggestions about using Password Manager. I do not use it and do not intend to start. I looked and none of my Thunderbird passwords are displayed there. All I want to do is change the password in Thunderbird. If Thunderbird does not have a feature allowing you to change it's passwords, one should be added.This is the only way.

Opening my iPad2 I have an "Exchange " window asking me my password. I'm (almost) sure I type the good one, but it doesn't accept it. Unable to go around it, so iPad useless... How can I recover/check my password on my home PC (or make that window disappear ?
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -

As already provided, if you don't have such in your iTunes library, on your computer, then there is no way to put it back on your phone. Apps are DRM protected, so even if you found a copy somewhere, you wouldn't be able to use it.

Depends on whether you have it set to erase data after 10 attempts. Otherwise it will lock out for a certain amount of time and then you can try again before it locks out again.
