How to delete all members at same sub level under one dimension?

How do I delete all members at a certain sub level in a demension? I know I can do this manually in the hyperion essbase admin panel, but the number of members is large. How would I go about removing these members using a script or excel?

The API used in the excel template is 9.2. You may need to update this according to your version of Essbase.
You can delete the existing module and import the esb32.bas and esberror.bas module which is located at C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\api\include directory (this is for version 9)
You also need to install the API when you install essbase client (add-ins) on your PC.
To open the VBA, click Ctrl-F11 after you open the workbook.
The program should output 3 message if everything is OK:
1. Write Outline Success: hOutline = ... (any number)
2. Restructre Successful: hCtx = ..., ESB_DOR_ALLDATA = 1
3. Close outline Successful: hOutline = ... (any number)

I have a cube hierarchy that has full path
[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[Department].&[DEPT 07].&[East].&[Manager].&[site code]
I can return the full hierarchy using something like
[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[All]
However, I want to return everything ([All]) at a lower level of the hierarchy. For example,
[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[Department].&[DEPT 07].&[All]
To get everything in Dept 07.
Of course your first response would be - just use the same statement without ALL
[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[Department].&[DEPT 07]
but the problem is I want to use a lookup cell that allows the user to select All, East, or West
=Cubemember("MyCube","[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[Department].&[DEPT 07].&[" & B1 & "]")
And that works for East and West, but not All, because I can't just append [All] partway down a hierarchy to get everything underneath (at least as far as I can tell).
Can anyone throw me a hint on how to accomplish a dynamic cubemember formula that includes/allows an All option?
I even tried embedding the cubeformula in an IF statement (If B2="All", Cubemember(formula1), Cubemember(formula2)) but Excel didn't like that either.

If you want to display the sum for a given hierarchy level, you should use CUBESET function.
e.g.
=IF(B2="all",CUBESET("mycube","[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[Department].&[DEPT 07]","all"),Cubemember("MyCube","[Location].[Location Hierarchy].[Department].&[DEPT 07].&["&B1&"]"))

How to delete all bookmarks and replace with backup?

Trying to sync my new iPad with my MacBook Pro and iPhone via MobileMe has created some fun new problems. For starters: I now have a full set of duplicate Safari bookmarks. Two of everything.
Fortunately, I (think) I made a safe backup before performing the fateful merge (suggested by Sync) that caused the duplicates. So now I'd like to delete ALL my bookmarks and re-import the saved backup bookmarks.
But I can't figure out how to delete all my bookmarks at once. It looks like my only choice is to delete them one at a time. Is there some way to simply trash the entire bookmarks file and re-import the ones I saved?

You can use Safari Prairiefire to find duplicate Safari Bookmarks.

After you install the software which you can use in demo version to do this click the Get Bookmarks tab. Then from the menu click: Tools / Check Duplicates.
I've had the same thing happen using my MobileMe account also.

I had the same problem and i have done everything manually.
It's a shame that Apple doesn't put a "Reset to factory Settings" button or simply "Delete all data from iCloud.com". That way, it would be much simpler for everyone including myself.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here: Find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership, or that sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library and that deleting one and recycling the file will break the other.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

If the emails have been previously deleted (I.e. in the trash folder), tap Edit at the top of the list. You should see a delete all button at the bottom. If the messages are in a standard folder, they need to be handled one at a time.

These are really 3 questions??
1. To delete objects in a request there are a number of ways, here is one:
Position cursor on modifiable request.
Double click on request and choose 'Objects' tab
Choose object line you want to delete and click 'Delete'
Save your changes.
2. To delete objects in a Dev Class:
Go to work bench --> edit object, Class and give your class name, you will see delete option at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks so much for your help with this problem. I am trying to remove alerts for a couple of specific shared calendars (which I can edit) but am having some difficulty due to my inexperience with applescript! I am also not sure where else to go for help solving this problem.
My plan is to run your script a couple of times specifying one calendar at a time by name.

Remove you icloud contact information on all your IOS devices, go to the icloud setting on you ios device and turn off the addressbook syncing, when it asks you "do you want to remove keep the address on your ips device you say NO... So now your MacBook is the only thing syncing too the icloud.
Go to Addresbook and look for the menu option find duplicates.
After that wait for your laptop to sync this too icloud. to check give it about 2 min depending on how many changes log into your icloud account at www.icloud.com and check too see if the syncing has updated whats in the cloud.
If it has then urn on your addressbook syncing in iclouud settings on your IOS devices and all should be back too normal.
