When I open Firefox and then hit INBOX to see all e-mails in my inbox and then when I have read those I open the subject matter of each e-mail appears opposite the INBOX and in order to delete all of these e-mails I have to click on every one individually to delete them. Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

Well, what I see happing is this: Tapping edit and checking the first message brings up the “Delete” option. Holding it until the red message “Delete Message” appears, then letting go of the red button and tapping the checked button makes the “Delete Message” message go away. The checked message is still checked with an option to delete just that message. Tap the checked message again just cancels the whole process and I’m back to square one.
However, if I check a message that is part of a thread of messages and tap Delete, I have the option of deleting all messages in the thread.
Perhaps the fact that I’m using the 3rd generation of the iPad is the problem, but your suggestion isn’t working.

Sounds like the email account is a POP account and if so, you have 28K emails that remain at the incoming mail server for the account. If all received email has been downloaded with the email client on your computer used for accessing the account, delete all email that remains at the incoming mail server. You can do this via webmail access for the account using a browser on your computer.
Folllow this by deleting and recreating the account on the iPhone.

I am migrating from an old computer to a new one. Is there a way to move PSCC with all my actions and preferences without having to redo them one at a time? Can it all be uploaded into the cloud and then redownloaded and, if so, how? Thank you.

All my image files are on externals, so my only folder to move regarding this would be Photoshop and Lightroom.

You need to install Photoshop on your new machine. Once installed you can sync you new installation with your old cc install. If your assets and Photoshop add-ons are on the external drive your done if you link them into you Photoshop paths. I prefer to copy my Photoshop add-on like Plug-ins and Scripts to the boot disk and link then in there. Adobe removed additional plug-in folder from preferences and never had an additional script folder support. Using Files system links work just fine. I have CS2, CS6, CC and CC 2014, They all share the same Plug-ins and Scripts. Some do not work in CS2 because they user new features not in CS2.

Go in Settings. Then in "Itunes & AppStore". Deselect "Music" and "Videos" on top. This would solve the problem with the Music and Videofiles in the cloud, that you seem to see.
The music isn't actually on your iphone. It just shows you what is in the cloud.

Trying to delete a lot of E-mails at once without having to tap each one individually

I just got my Playbook 1.
I have about 200 E-mails to delete.
I bring down the Menu on the top of the screen and I tap the "Select" key so the checkmark boxes appear next to each message. I tap the messages so the check mark appears on each one and then I tap the garbage can that appears at the right bottom side of the screen but sometimes it deletes a couple of them and sometimes it does not delete them at all.
I don't lime tike the idea of having to delete messages individually.
Can anyone suggest something or explain me why the "Select" function does not do the job?

Steinmetz was doing all that select stuff anyway and it works OK for the rest of us. If they were not disappearing then I suspect a poor internet connection or poor response from the email server. They really need to sync properly to disappear altogether. Maybe it was some lousy Yahoo IMAP account.
Delete several times a day is the best approach, or if a real big cleanup is needed, delete on a computer then resync to playbook.

OK, thanks for the response. I'm copying it onto a memory stick to transfer it to the new computer. Still have two questions:
1. Since there is already an iTunes folder on the new computer, created when iTunes was downloaded, where exactly do I copy the old folder onto the computer so that iTunes can find it? In the old interface, there used to be a field where one could designate the path to find music and I don't see that in the new interface.
Assuming the above takes care of putting my playlists onto the new computer...
2. How do I add music that is currently stored in a back up file but was not on my old computer's drive? I'm worried that I would have to add these one by one somehow, and there are a lot of songs.

Help, I didn't follow directions and I now really have 1 million+ garbage contacts in my address bk and can't find how to delete except one at a time.

Was under the gun to get info off the computer and leave and rather than go to the website (DUH) I tried some made up 'copy' to a stick, and when I went to 'paste' it into my new thunderbird personal addresses on the new home laptop, I created some mess in the address book that LITERALLY created over a million entries in the personal address book. I had to disable the start typing and match function to be able to enter an address in a new write email, and I cannot open my address book tab because it defaults to trying to open this huge file, and it goes into not responding now. I actually got it open once, highlighted first entry (blank) and scrolled to last entry and shift highlight and entered delete. but an hour later it still was working so I ended task, and now I can't even get it to pull up the list. I admit I'm an idiot, but can it be fixed???????

My photos when downloaded from an iPad to an iMac, each have a suffix e.g. DSCF0066_5. These suffixes may differ i.e. DSCF0066_4; DSCF0066_7. How can I remove these without having to remove each one individually.

Hi, this suffex named by the camera itself, you can use Automator scripts to rename them, or you also can export the photos and make new suffex as you desire via iPhoto export option.
but my advice to keep them as is, you don't need each photo on your library to be named correctly since you're browsing it by events, photos,faces,places etc.. also you can create albums and (TIP) when you select a photo (will get yellow square on the thumbnail) you can reveal it on Finder by going to File > Reveal in Finder which is really helpful and you could drag and drop from iPhoto to Finder window to copy the image.

Then I suspect you do not have iTunes Match enabled. Using that "delete all" command in the Settings does not remove the music from the cloud, nor does it disable iTunes Match. With iTunes Match enabled you will still see all the music.
So go to Settings > iTunes and App Store and make sure iTunes Match is set to ON (green).

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
