How to delete all photos in iPhone 5

I have downloaded my iPhone 5 photos onto my computer.  I now want to delete all photos on my iPhone 5.  I have over 2,600 photos to get rid of.

YES you can delete all photos with one easy swipe~!!!! I just discovered how by accident when I went to delete my audiobooks for more storage!! You go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > USAGE > PHOTOS & CAMERA > and then just decide what you’d like to remove~~ either (or all) “Camera Roll” “Photo Library” or “Photo Stream” & Swipe to Delete! Happy deleting everyone!!

  • How to delete ALL PHOTOS AT ONCE ?

So, how to delete all photos from iphone 5 with one touch ? Its frustrating to delete pic by pic when you got over 2000 pictures ! And its not enough to go to "moments" and day by day deleting those pics...
My old Nokia 2110 has that luxury feature "select all" and then "delete selected". This is ridiculous from 1000€ device... Not to mention I have new iMac also and I still not can delete all photos at once.
    Help please !

If iCloud Photo Library is enabled:
There is currently no way to delete all photos at once.
If iCloud Photo Library is disabled:
Plug your device into a computer and open your photo import application and it'll allow you to remove all photos.

  • Have synced all photos from pc. how to delete unwanted photos on  iphone?

i did not realise i was syncing all photos in my pc to my iphone. there is a lot of junk photos. but i cannot see how to delete them off my iphone. help please

    This is the reason.
Photos in your iPhone's camera roll are not included with the iTunes sync process except for being included with your iPhone's backup, which is created and updated by iTunes as the first step during the sync process.
Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process, which is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences are not transferred to your iPhone's camera roll.
Photos in your iPhone's camera roll are photos that were captured by your iPhone, or photos saved from a received email or from a website. Photos in your iPhone's camera roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
With a Mac, this can be done with iPhoto if you use iPhoto for importing photos from a digital camera and for photo storage and management on your Mac, or with the Image Capture application located in your Applications folder. Both include an option to delete the photos from your iPhone's camera roll after the import process is complete. If you don't want to save these photos, you can delete the photos from iPhoto or from your designated location where the imported photos are saved if you use the Image Capture application for the import.

  • How to delete photostream photos from iphone?

how to delete photostream photos from iphone4?

Just look at the many other threads on this subject.  See the 'More Like This' box on the right hand side?
Basically, you can only delete all or none.  To delete all, reset your Photostream on iCloud.com and switch off PS on your device.
You can temporarily remove the photos by switching off PS on your device, but when you switch it back on, the photos will return unless you reset as previously mentioned.

  • How to delete transferred photos in iphone 5s

I have transferred photos from my acer laptop to my iphone 5S using itunes. Now, tell me how to delete some photos out of them in iphone 5S

Assuming you transferred them by syncing via iTunes, you delete by syncing again but with a different selection of which photos to sync. Each time you sync using iTunes, the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone are set to match the current iTunes photo page settings.

  • How to delete all photos in photo stream on iDevices??

I've been trying to do this for a long time. I looked at similar questions and one answer said to take 1000 photos and put them in photo stream. I tried to put all 1000 photos into photo stream, but the one time that I wanted my photos in photo stream, it didn't work! Are there any other ways to delete all photos in photo stream or just plain delete photo stream?? Please help! Sorry, I'm still relatively new to Apple!

Go to the iCloud website and click on your name and then advanced. Hit the reset photostream. This will delete the photos there.
Go to your devices and remove the photos in the photostream folder in iPhoto.

  • How to get ALL photos off iPhone and into iMac?

I hope I can describe this clearly.
I have close to 1000 photos on my iPhone 5s, all in different albums.  I want to get ALL of them off the iPhone and backed up into my iMac so I don't lose them when I upgrade (which has happened before.) The albums I seem to have the biggest problem with are the ones that came over when I went from a PC to a Mac about 2 years ago and were in albums in my Kodak Easy Share.  I can't get iPhoto to recognize these photos/albums so I can move them from the iPhone. Honestly, I'm not even sure how I got them from where they originated into my iPhone. I'd thought I'd lost them so when they popped up on my iPhone I refused to even update my phone for a while, I was so afraid to lose them.
I tried using Image Capture and it only recognized 176 photos on the iPhone.
I went into settings on my iPhone, into camera and photos, and saw that iCloud Photo Library (Beta) was "OFF." I clicked "ON" and got the message "Photos synced from iTunes will be removed. Syncing photos via iTunes is not supported when include Photo Library is turned on.  833 photos will be removed."
    I hit cancel.
If I connect my iPhone to my Mac, and check off "Sync Photos" it appears that it's going to put photo's in iPhoto on my computer on my phone, so that isn't what I want either.  I've tried Googling this, and searching on the Apple site and I can't find anything like this. Similar but not quite the same.
I also read (I think) that the iCloud would delete my photos in 30 days so I'm not sure what the value of backing them up to the iCloud is.
I've used Finder to search Kodak, Easy Share, Kodak Easy Share, in case these photos are somewhere else on the iMac that I'm not aware of, most likely due to user ignorance.
My screen is cracked, I'm going to need to upgrade soon, and I don't want to lose valuable photos again.
    Thank you!

Thank you to all for this info. Discouraging, but finally I can stop banging my head on the desk trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I do believe that when I synced my iPhone at some point in the last 2 years, I pulled all the photos OUT of iPhoto and then it deleted them.  Which is most likely why the older Kodak photos that I am almost 100% certain were in iPhoto are now gone. How/when they ended up on my iPhone I don't know because I swear they suddenly appeared there a few weeks ago.
Since the old PC is gone (accessible but wiped clean & restored to original factory settings) and Easy Share is no more, I will have to explore outside options to get those photos off the iPhone somewhere.  Online photo storage sites have been suggested.  Archaic as it is, I wish I'd just put them all on cd's.
Using the info provided, I did SUCCESSFULLY get all 237 photos off of my iPhone 3.  (yes, I still have it.)  Now I know better and will never ever sync my photo's in iTunes again.
    Thank you all again!!
***Addendum: ALL answers helped, but apparently I can't indicate that.

  • IOS 8.3 - No option to delete all photos on iPhone

This is not removing photos from the photo stream
This is removing photos from the phone that are stored on it (4.7GB) currently
    This is iOS 8.3
This is Photos app (now apparently after replacing iPhoto)
    This is Yosemite 10.10.3
    Hi,
While on vacation I ran out of space. Now I know after typically importing photos on a camera you have the option to delete them after.  This doesn't seem to be present with my iPhone.  I tried Image Capture (no option to delete, no action on pressing delete, no action dragging to trash).
I tried opening iPhoto which it informed me my library was imported to Photos.  No problem, browse to my iPhone, and see the photos but no option to delete.
I now download iBrowse thinking I'll just remove them manually .. nothing shown in Photos folder.
Only options I can come up with is using the phone it self either selecting each photo (a ton of them) and doing one by one.
Other filter in Photos is moments.  Which is almost as tedious as one by one.
By Year offers no selection, swiping or otherwise to delete.
All Photos offers no selection, swiping or otherwise to delete.
Importing via Photos or Image Capture offers no option to delete from device.
I'd like to just think this was an accident, or something that has a hidden CMD+Option+D hot key to find some magic menu that lets you delete photos to open up space on the phone, but I can't find anything except years of people being confused about how to do this pre-iOS 8 and Yosemite.
Any ideas other than a full phone reset?

settings > icloud >photos > turn off icloud photo library.
Now when I plug the phone in I get the delete option.  (keep in mind this still unfortunate).
Think this has gotten a bit confusing between 'My Photo Stream' - What is it?  iCloud Photo Library- is this a action or a thing?
And if I'm using the iCloud and want to delete the photo, I have no option to do so unless I either go the one by one, moment by moment or turn off the iCloud photo library, plug in my phone, check that delete after import box and import photos.
The sad thing is I have parents, and other family members that are just totally lost too.
Feels like we need version 2.0 soon.

  • How to delete synced photos on iPhone 4? Please tell me! Thanks!

I have tried to delete the synced photos on iphone but it can be deleted! How??

You can remove all of the synced photos from the phone by connecting it to iTunes on your computer and syncing again but before you sync remove the checkmark beside "Sync Photos from" on the Photos tab of iTunes. If you only want to remove some of the photos there are more details in the "To delete synced photos and videos" section of http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236

  • How to delete double photos from iPhone 5

why i phone 5 double the photos in the photo app
why is no trash button or bin
    how i delete the doubles
    thanks

Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process cannot be deleted direct on the iPhone. These photos are removed the same way they were transferred to the iPhone originally - via the iTunes sync process.
All photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library. Photos in the albums transferred below are not duplicated as in taking up double the storage space. Photos in the albums below Photo Library include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This was you can view the photos in an album only by selecting the album or all photos in all albums by selecting Photo Library.

  • How to delete all photos in Lightroom Mobile?

I would like to delete all of the photos in my Lightroom Mobile photo library. A one-step procedure would be ideal.
For background: My Lightroom desktop catalog has tens of thousands of photos and hundreds of collections. When I was first getting familiar with Lightroom Mobile, I synced all of my photos with the service. This was a mistake; I did not realize that this would result in large amounts of data filling up my mobile devices (I thought the service worked more like Dropbox, OneDrive, etc., where photos are loaded as-needed). My Lightroom Mobile photo library is now much too large to fit on my mobile device, and even partially syncing fills up my devices immediately. I want to clear out my library and start over.
Individually selecting each image in the web interface is not a practical solution. It is also not practical to keep all of the photos in Lightroom mobile and then delete unwanted collections from individual mobile devices, since this would involve deleting hundreds of events from each mobile device each time I set up Lightroom Mobile. I would like to clear my library and start over with a small number of synced collections.
Any advice on how this could be done would be appreciated!

In Preferences > Lightroom Mobile, there's a Delete all Data button.
