How to delete all sms message at once?

I've gotten myself into a mess where I have over 900 SMS message (texts from Outlook, Facebook, friends messaging me, etc.) and I want to try to just CLEAR them all out - don't want to save any of them.
Is there an easy way to do this, or do I have to 'touch/delete' each message individually?

You can delete threads by swiping from right to left across the thread on the main Messages screen. However, you can't clear all of the threads at once.

  • 3310: remove all sms messages at once?

an old 3310 here is being used in an sms-alert construction when something goes wrong on some of the unix/linux servers we manage.
Now something went very, very, worng on one of those servers yesterday the sms-alert works perfectly, but delivered a couple of hundred sms messages to the phone.
the problem on the *ux has been solved, but the message-memory of the phone is full, and when I delete a message, a new one will appear and the memory will still be full.
how do I delete all sms messages at once, so it won't take me forever to empty the message memory?

i'm not so much concerned with the bulk that is yet to come, as i am with the time it'll take me to remove them 1-by-1. If i could delete the current content of the message memory (all current messages at once), i'll accept the fact that i'll have to do this 10 times
    hope this is possible.

  • Why can't I delete all incoming messages at once without having to select each one first. It can be done while in the "Trash" folder, but not the "IN" folder.

Why can't I delete all incoming messages at once without having to select each one first. It can be done while in the "Trash" folder, but not the "IN" folder.

Well, what I see happing is this: Tapping edit and checking the first message brings up the “Delete” option. Holding it until the red message “Delete Message” appears, then letting go of the red button and tapping the checked button makes the “Delete Message” message go away. The checked message is still checked with an option to delete just that message. Tap the checked message again just cancels the whole process and I’m back to square one.
However, if I check a message that is part of a thread of messages and tap Delete, I have the option of deleting all messages in the thread.
Perhaps the fact that I’m using the 3rd generation of the iPad is the problem, but your suggestion isn’t working.

  • How to delete ALL text messages in Inbox at once? ...

Hi All,  I'm a newbie here so be gentle....
I've noticed that opening new texts has become increasingly slow over the last few months - ie I go to open it and it takes about 8-10 seconds before the message actually appears.  I am assuming that this may be because I have allowed my inbox to accumulate no fewer than 1650 text messages.
I would like to delete ALL of them at once, if possible, rather than having to delete them one-by-one, which will inevitably take about 382 hours to do so at this rate
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions on this matter
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I am afraid I have not tried the 6110 but if it works the same as other Symbian phones you can choose the Mark/Unmark > Mark All option to select all SMS and then simply select Delete. Should do the trick.

How to delete all my data from my old 4s

It is easy. You just need to reset your iPhone to factory settings. Go to Settings>General> Reset> Erase All Content and Settings. All data on your iPhone will be erased.
Tips: Be sure you really don't need these data any more. If you are not sure, you can backup your iPhone with iTunes before doing this.
    Have a nice day!

  • How to delete all mail messages in account

I can delete mail one by one, but is there a way to delete all emails in an account?

Where's the Edit menu in the iPhone Mail app??
@James - there is a Delete All option for the Trash mailbox, but not for any other mailbox. You can tap Edit then manually tap the selection circles next to each message, then tap delete. But, that's very inefficient! Your best bet is to access the mail account from a computer mail client (Apple Mail, Outlook, etc.) or a webmail interface and delete all the messages there.

  • HT1694 How to delete all junk Mail at once?

I will like to erase all junk mail at once don't want to delete one by one

One-by-one deletion goes pretty fast if you look at, say, your inbox, click "Edit" and then check each box on the screen.
Other than that, you cannot delete all mail at once on your iPad, short of restoring it (which would delete all email on your iPad).

  • How to delete all junk mail at once on my IPhone 4S?

I would like to delete my 1,800 junk emails from my IPhone at once, however, there doesn't seem to be anyway besides one at a time.

It would be great if Apple included a select all option in the mail app but I imagine this would result in lots of people deleting all their email when they thought they were in their spam folder and were actually in their inbox so to protect us from our selves, Apple didn't offer this option.  I would love it myself, but as the other poster says, you need to do it on your computer in your web browser.

  • How to delete all inbox emails at once: iPod Touch 5th Gen ?

IOS 7, iPOD Touch 5th Gen
While I can delete multiple emails at once on my iPad 2 (inbox> Edit> Check  first email> Hold MOVE while unchecking first email> Release Move > (all emails stack up) then, >Trash
this does NOT work on the iPod Touch 5th Gen.
When I do those steps, it "appears" to work but then, the emails go right back to the inbox.
I've also tried the other method that incorporates using "Mark all as read" - as an extra step - (read it on Apple Support Forums) but apparently it works on iPhones, not iPod Touch 5.
    Thanks.

    - If you are up to it see:

Otherwise you will have to set up the iPod as a new one.

  • How to delete all bookmarks and replace with backup?

Trying to sync my new iPad with my MacBook Pro and iPhone via MobileMe has created some fun new problems. For starters: I now have a full set of duplicate Safari bookmarks. Two of everything.
Fortunately, I (think) I made a safe backup before performing the fateful merge (suggested by Sync) that caused the duplicates. So now I'd like to delete ALL my bookmarks and re-import the saved backup bookmarks.
But I can't figure out how to delete all my bookmarks at once. It looks like my only choice is to delete them one at a time. Is there some way to simply trash the entire bookmarks file and re-import the ones I saved?

    HI Adam,
You can use Safari Prairiefire to find duplicate Safari Bookmarks.
    http://www.balooba.se/baloobasoftware/index.html
After you install the software which you can use in demo version to do this click the Get Bookmarks tab. Then from the menu click: Tools / Check Duplicates.
I've had the same thing happen using my MobileMe account also.
    Carolyn
