How to Delete Audio Permanently ?  Logic or Peak

hi, when you double-click an audio region in the arrange, it's opens for
editing. You delete some audio, save. Close the Logic file. Quit Logic.
BUT you could later get the audio back by start logic, open that song,
open the audio editor and choose "undo" and like magice the previously
deleted audio reappears.
I want it gone, forever, unrecoverable.
I've deleted the "LogicSampleUndo" files, i've Emptied the Trash per
page 90 of the ref manual.
What do I have to do to actually, really, finally delete this audio ?
I've had to open the audio i peak and do the delete, then save, then logic can't bring it back
but I'd like to just use Logic.

thank you for the reply,
but,
I meant that I want to delete a "protion" of an audio file. This is why I use Logic's sample editor.
Example, a voice dialog that lasts 8 bars. I was to delete, permanantly, the last 2 bars.
Normally, I would open the audio file in the sample editor, select the last 2 bars and hit
the delete key, Logic will show that it's "moving samples" and will warn that I am about to
delete. I hit yes, or delete and the waveform display updates to show that the last 2 bars
are deleted.
But under undo I can aways get the last 2 bars back. I want to NEVER get them back.
Empty the Logic trash?
Kill the undo?
What hidden file?

  • How to delete Audio Lectures from iTunesU

I Just wanted to ask How to delete Audio Lectures from iTunesU?

If you are using automatic syncing, you must have set up the shuffle's Books screen in iTunes, to tell iTunes how to sync audiobooks to the shuffle.  You go to the Books screen by selecting the shuffle in iTunes, to see the row of "buttons" that starts with Summary.  Click on Books there...
If you set up that screen to sync audiobooks to the shuffle, you just need to uncheck the books you no longer want on the shuffle, and click Apply.
If you loaded the shuffle using the manual method (drag and drop items on the shuffle in iTunes), please post back.

  • HT3529 IN SIRI SOME OF MY PERSONAL MSG ARE STORED HOW TO DELETE IT PERMANENTLY FROM MY IPHONE?

in siri some of my personal messages are stored how to delete it permanently

You're post is not entirely clear as Siri doesn't store anything. If what you mean is that if you search using Spotlight, you still see old text messages, that means that they are still in the Messages cache. You would need to restore the phone as new to get rid of them.
    Best of luck.

  • How to delete audio and photos from my ipad and export to ITunes?

I've read about this issue extensively and still can't figure out how to export my audio, picts, etc., to I Tunes and then delete the files on my I Pad. Firstly, all of my audio files don't show up when I sync, only some. These are files I've created in music software apps. I need to free up space and would really like to store these files on my Mac, but delete on the I Pad. Any help would be appreciated.

  • How to delete audio clip/soundtrack from video

Hi - I have been creating my first ever video (joining together footage from GoPro files from a family skiing day, so pretty amateur stuff).
After doing some basic stuff like deleting lots of even more dull stuff than the remainder will be, I'm left with a heap of separate files where I've put transitions into the gaps.
I then added an Adobe soundtrack/audio to the whole thing.
Possibly mistakenly I then did a few more bits and pieces to the video, like speeding a few bits up and so on.  The act of speeding some sections up using Premiere Elements then created 'gaps' in the timeline which I've worked out form some googling I think are there simply because there's underlying audio.
The difficulty I'm having now is - how do I just simply delete the underlying audio in it's entirety - there must be a simle way of dleting it all, but I can't find it.
Then I can just change the video as I see fit, delete and close gaps, and then reapply audio once I'm finished.
    Anyone know ?
PS. I have done some painful resectioning of the underlying audio to try and close the gaps but that hasn't worked very well as in the timeline, the audio isn't directly lined up with the video above it so very easy to delete video when trying to delete sections of audio, therefore simpler to just delete all audio I think.
    Cheers.

Along with Steve's excellent books, here are some additional resources for learning PrE: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/800455?tstart=0
You will see Steve's name mentioned in several of those, like is Basic Training Series and Learning Series. There are also some AdobeTV tutorials, that I find very useful.
    Good luck, and happy editing,

  • How to reverse audio in logic pro X? Other thread didnt help

    Hello,
i am trying desperatly to reverse a cymbal sound in Logic Pro X but i cannot find how to do it. Can somebody help me please
I already activated the advanced options:
i followed avery step i found in other threads but it doesnt work. (audio editor, functions and then reverse) i also didnt find the "reverse" button under "functions".
Can somebody help me please? I am new to Logic..
Sorry for my bad english, i writing this from Belgium
    Sincerly

That's a little odd !! Not quite sure why that wouldn't work… You have assigned your sound to the output track rather than an audio track, but that shouldn't stop it working.
On the other hand, I wouldn't have done it like that at all
I would select the midi track to convert and do a "Bounce in place".
With the default settings, Logic will create a new track with the bounce on it. You can manipulate this new bounce as you please
    Have fun

  • 2 Questions: Missing audio files...and How to delete audio files

I have two nagging issues associated with my podcast at iTunes.
First, audio files are missing from the podcast. Everytime I post m4a files to my podcast, they are added to an xml file, and to the podcast. The xml file is complete, but some files are not making the trip to the podcast.
Second, I have a need to delete some of the audio files which appear in my podcast. How do I do that?
    Thanks!

As has been suggested you can encourage people to download QuickTime player by doing something like this...
    http://www.mirroroftheuniverse.com/Songs.html
You can also present your songs like this...
    http://roddymckay.com/Satellite/JukeBox.html
This is a SnoCap jukebox and you need an account to use it but you'll get the link to ESnips on the above page.
A 3 minute song has a file size of about 30 Mb in AIFF format. Converting it to MP3 reduces it to about 3.5 Mb and M4A to about 5.5 Mb.
iTunes will do these conversions for you and M4A is far superior to MP3 as far as sound quality is concerned.

  • How to delete audio

I have recorded video with sound on my iphone but the sound is poor how do i delete the sound and rerecord in iMovie

Edit the clip into the timeline in iMovie. Right click on the clip and select Detach Audio. Select the audio and delete. You can also just drag the volume line down to the bootom of the clip so you can;t hear it. That may be simplier.

  • How to delete audio backups? OSX 10.9.4

    Hi.
    I'm using OSX 10.9.4.
My 500 GB hard drive is getting full, so I moved my entire ITunes music library (160 GB) to an external hard drive, and then moved the iTunes Media folder to the trash, and deleted it on my Mac. The moved files are playing fine from the external drive.
    Surprise!
No disc space was freed up at all, because iTunes (I guess) cleverly backed everything up automatically.
I've tried to find these backup files in order to delete them -- to no avail.
How do I get rid of 160 GB of backups??
    Thank you!

Do you happen to use Apple's Time Machine to perform your machine's backups?  Do you occasionally (or perhaps often) perform these backups while using only battery power?
If so, I recommend plugging your Mac in to the wall and performing a Time Machine backup.  At the end of that backup, a cleanup process will occur.  You will be able to see it if you watch the Time Machine process under System Preferences.

  • How to delete audio with deleting video

    I have a MacBook with OS X 10.9 and iMovie 10.0.1
I just received a homemade dvd and want to edit the audio but not the video - is there a way and how - please, explain step by step as I am somewhat computer challeged and just learning about iMovie's capabilities.
    Thanks,

You need to use audio cables left and right from the dock or headphone jack to audio input on tv, as s-video cable does not carry audio signal. If you are using the Apple A/V kit or cable hook up is simple red to red... white to white yellow to nothing as you are using S-video but if a non-apple A/V cable the plugs may have to be swithced to yellow to red....white to white and red to yellow (or in your case red to nothing as you are using "s" video.

  • How to delete audio files if using manual update

    hi,
i have my iPod set for manual updating and i just realized that when i delete songs using iTunes the actual files stay on the iPod, wasting disc space. how can i delete those to free up more disc space (other than searching for each song and deleting it manually every time)? i will start using automatic updating evenutally but for now i am stuck with manual updating.
    thanks in advance...

Under the "manually manage songs" setting, you should be able to click the little arrow next to your iPod in iTunes. Then, if you want to get rid of a song on your iPod, just select it, and hit backspace. I don't know why this wouldn't work, but it worked with my iPod.
