How to delete component

Hi,
I have deleted the ExchangeLogdat and ExchangeFaultData.
while Iam trying to delete the NameSpace or Component Iam getting the follwoing error.
I have did all what you people told eventhough Iam unable to delete the component here.
Unable to delete object GAMES, 5.0 of yahoo.com You cannot delete a software component version if namespaces are still defined for it
help me to delete the component.

Hi Asnok,
You can delete software components & versions from the IR in XI 2.0. (We're on Service Pack 5, and I've done it to clean up our IR.)
Here is the process:
1. Delete all configuration and/or import objects from the SCV. Don't forget the 2 fault data types that SAP automatically creates in every namespace.
Activate all change lists... if it won't let you save the deleted namespaces in step 2, then do the same.
2. Double-click on the Software Component Version so that it comes up in the right pane. Click on the change/edit button. Delete all the namespaces from the SCV. Save.
3. Activate all change lists. (It won't let you delete the SCV if you have uncommitted changes.)
4. Open the SCV again (if it's not still open). On the menu at the top of the right pane, go to Software Component Version...Delete. You may or may not have to activate changes again.
As soon as you do this, the software component will disappear automatically with the deletion of the last version.

I tried deleting :
1.From the SLD Software catalog - Deleted the s/w product and associated component , it was deleted in the SLD s/w catalog but no effect in the IR Side.
2.Deleted all the XI Objects and NameSpace in IR , but still empty software component exist in IR.
Any help in this Regards will be appreciated...

(Delete a system despite use
   You want to delete the system PRD, but it is still being used.
   You cannot delete the system as long as it is still used in logical
   Components. The where-used list tells you the logical components which
   Use the system. To delete the system, remove it from all logical
   Components first.
   You can only delete the system if it is used in system groups. The
   Where-used list tells you which system groups use the system.
   Warning
   If you delete the system despite use in system groups, you can no longer
   Access it in applications (e.g. in the Project Administration, if it is
   Used in a system group of type Project Landscape).

Dear Kiran,
Firstly find out where the system PRD has been added as an Logical System in an Logical Component. Remove the assignment and you should be able to delete the System.
Similarly for deleting an Logical component find out which solutions are referring to the logical component and deassign the Logical Component from the Solutions. You can then safely delete the Logical Components.
You can use the Where Used List button which looks like 3 arrow starting from an single point to different directions to find out the assignments.

Follow the steps below to delete the Software component:
1. Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, Interface Mappings and other imported objects like RFC's or IDoc's. Activate all changes.
2. Then delete the namespace and the default datatypes present with the namespace after checking "objects are modifiable".
3. Then delete the SW component, after placing the radio button in "Not permitted".

How to delete a view from a enhanced component?

I wish to know the possibility of deleting a view from a enhanced component.
I have two components IUICMD & IUICMRD. I have enhanced 4 views in the first component IUICMD using enhancement set ZCRM_ENHSET. There is no problem with that. But when i try to use the same enhancement set ZCRM_ENHSET for enhancing the second component IUICMRD, it's enhanceable in enhancement set. But 2 views IUICRMD/Meterreading & IUICMRD/MainVS is also copied to first component and available as enhanceable views in First component.
I want to delete those views from the first component. Let me know How to delete a view from a enhanced component?

Hi Raju,
If you do not need those enhancment views in any of the components ( ie IUICMD & IUICMRD ) , then open the BSP application in SE80 , under controller, there will be files with extension .do as yourviewname.do ...delete those !! These will not dele the Z classes....but just deletes their presence from the BSP...
I would suggest following approch :
1) go to SM34 , open BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT....Select you enhancement set and click on enhancement defination in leftside panel.
2) now select the IUICMRD and CLICK ON CONTROLLER SUBSTITUTION...
3) now you will see all the enhancement available for that component...Delete the entries for those two views from there...
This is just deleting the entries...this does not delete any objects from the system.
4)Now click on Back arrow, and delete the entry for IUICMRD...save.
5) Now open BSPWD_CMP_WD for IUICMRD...you will get the enhance component button... You can now freshly enhance this component..
6) We did not touch to the entries for IUICMD in the BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT...So now if you open the component IUICMD in workbench with you enhancement set...you will see all the enhancement..including those two views which you wanted to delete from IUICMRD.
7) If you want to delete the enhancement for these views...then right click on the enhance views and select Delete enhancement...You will get a popup listing IMPL, CTXT and CN classes, select all Z entries in the pop up and those all will be deleted physically from the system...and thus view enhancement will be rolled back...

If you are not sure, you can create copy of IMPL, CTXT and CN classes in se80 and then proceed for deletion..You can also make copy of entire BSP in se 80 before deletion...

Hi Napoliste,
I have not tried it myself since I'm too afraid to break the system, but here's something you can try:
When you have deleted the component, you have deleted the BSP application.
Go to trx SE95 (modification browser) and select tab Reset Objects, check the Deleted objects checkbox.
Go to either: Deleted Objects -> Web Objects
or
Without Modification Assistant -> Web Objects
There you should find your deleted BSP application, try to reset it to original (and the underlying objects as well if needed). When you're done you can choose refresh and if all went well the objects are gone from the list.

You will have to delete all the objects under the namespace (then activate the changes), then delete the namespace and then finally delete the SWCV !!

1. Design:Integration Builder
Double click on the Software Component Version
In the display window, navigate the menu to Software Component Version and select Delete
This removes both the Software Component and the Software Component Version
Ensure that the Change List is empty
2. SLD
Double click on the Software Component and select the Remove button
3. Clear SLD Cache
You may want to go back into the Design:Integration Builder, navigate the menu to Environment and select Clear SLD Data Cache

The only way to clear out that data is by exporting as inx/idml...

In IR you need to go one by one only. Double click and select delete from menu.
Actually in bulk you can remove but thats from SLD and not from IR. You can select SWC from SLD and delete all in one go but from IR its one by one

In adf,how to delete a file generated on server,when the webpage is closed

I have an application consisting of 2 pages. in the 1st page i will give some input details and when i click on submit, some java code is getting executed in the back. That java code generates a csv file in the server location. after succesful execution of java code, i was redirected to 2nd page. In 2nd page, i am giving option to download and when the user clicked on download button and after the file is downloaded -- in the backend i am deleting the file from the server. Till this point everything is fine. But if the user didnt click on the Download button and instead if he closes the browser, the csv file gets remained on the server itself. This is the issue i am facing .. I am not able to get an idea in ADF Framework, how to delete a file when the browser is closed. Please help me out in this.

ADF has nothing to do with tracking browser close buttons. What you can do is call a JS function and call the method which deletes the file from within the JS function. ADF has a component for calling java code from JS call.
