When I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 7 , I am not able to edit or delete a custom label anymore? Please can you fix this issue!?

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service regularly. Your contacts will be in whatever program/service that you have selected to sync.
If you have failed to sync them to your computer or cloud service, then they are gone.

I cannot delete ANY apps after upgrading to ios 5-

After updated my software to ios 5 (iPhone 4, Verizon), I cannot delete any of the apps; it's like every single app is now a "native," acting just like all of the built in apps like phone, message, safari, etc. When I hold down on any one of them, they all start shaking, but no red x with the circle- there is no way to remove them...
I think that it is a bug in the software, because I updated my other iPhone 4 to ios 5, and I do not have any issues with this whatsoever...

I am having the exact same problem. When i go to update my existing apps - it asks me to type my password for my initial apple id (upon upgrade i needed to change it to the @soandso.com) but it wont take my password. When i try to download new applications it works - my new apple id comes up and everything works fine.
i tried restoring my phone, changing my settings, etc.
When i try to update in itunes it gives me a notification along the lines of "cannot update do to not holding majority of ..."
did you find a solution?

I just upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and here's one of the issues that this brought up:
I used to listen to audiobooks in the built-in Music app and the app would show the bookmarks or a time-code where I left off listening to my audiobooks and begin playing from that same spot even if I switched to listen to something else in the meantime. I'm concerned now because after this upgrade it doesn't show my bookmarks anymore.
How do I get them back?

Had you backed up the phone via iTunes or iCloud? If so, the backup includes audio book bookmark in the iCloud and you will be able to restore that backup to a replacement iPhone.
If you had been syncing your phone to back it up, you can use 3rd party software like iPhone Bookmark Recovery to try to recover some of your data from your backup. However, if your audio books are not fully included in the backup (they are only backed up as necessary to maintain call favorites and recent call lists). Ive been working on this all day. I found somebody's JAR that is able to provide SSH acess into your phone even if you are stuck in recovery or dfu mode. I am running a macbook pro with win 64 bootcamp and couldnt get itunes 32 bit installed to work with the JAR so I restarted in MacOS rather than mucking around with getting itunes 32. I then clicked the JAR and mac asked to install a java runtime. After doing this, the JAR would run and eventually put my phone into a state where I could SSH into it. After that, I downloaded Cyberduck and copied /mnt1 and /mnt2 to my mac in case I needed anything off of these. I ran PhotoRec and it began to find tons of pictures, pdfs, and whatnor. Rather than wait for it to find the stuff I really wanted, I searched through /mnt2/mobile/media/dcim/ and got all my pics. Awesome. What a pain.
That took all day to figure out. Ugh.

Adding Custom Labels Missing for Contact Numbers After Upgrading to iOS 8.0 and issue still exists on iOS 8.1

I noticed that after upgrading to iOS 8.0 on my iPhone 5s, adding custom labels for contact numbers got removed. It still exists on iOS 8.1 as well. Is there someone who is facing a similar issue or can someone help me how to get that back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have good news. You can still choose a custom label in Contacts on iOS 8. The option should be below "Other" in the list of labels when editing a contact. This information is found in the iOS 8 user guide:
Contacts at a glance - iPhone
Change a label. If a field has the wrong label, such as Home instead of Work, tap Edit. Then tap the label and choose one from the list, or tap Add Custom Label to create one of your own.

Same happened here on my iphone 4. I heard it's something about bad meta data in the music files but I've no idea. It seems to be fixed by deleting the music from the iphone and then syncing it back on. No need to reset so far luckily!

FYI, I use the POP mailserver as I need most of the information to be loaded onto my PC while on a plane / not connected to the interenet.
The primary use of mail on my iPhone is to be available as much as possible - even when I'm away from my office.

How can i delete custom labels on iOS 8.1? i found this thread (Delete custom labels in iOS7?) but i couldn't delete them via third party apps like what'sapp and magic app. Maybe they don't support it anymore.

The same for me. iPhone 6+ with IOS 8.2.
I can delete many labels until rest one. If i delete this one the contact app crash. I export all contacts to vcard end tray to find for my label name but nothing is found.

I suspect you may have a corrupt photo or image that is causing the sync to fail or quit. You might want to try removing all of your photos by deselecting them in iTunes then sync - and try adding them by each sub-folders until you are able to nail down which sub-folder of photos, that causes the sync to stop or gives you errors.

Have you tried doing turning the battery level display off and then General -> "Reset all settings"? You won't loose any data and that should do the trick.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but I'll try to answer! You can either connect to iTunes and set up and activate there, or you can also use the setup assistant to set up your iPhone. As far as carrier activation, you'll have to follow the protocol that your carrier uses. Either switch SIM card, or call the number they use to allow device activation. Is that what you were wanting to know?

Use the yahoo app instead. Yahoo email has also been an issue.
