System Response
You can delete the field, but must assume that the field will reappear in the next put.
Procedure
We are dealing with a currency  - you can delete the field.
We added this field to Operating concern and now we want to delete this field.
Awaiting your valuable replied.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
In KEA5 did you copied the fixed characterisitics and created your own user Characterisirics. It is better not to copy the standard fields with table Since both will have same feature if you rename to another Desciption text.

  • Derivation Rule: COPA

    Hello Everyone,
Could you please tell me how to write derivation rule in COPA.  I would appreciation if you send me any document related to it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I am working on SAP-ISU project. Our system is very old and we need to maintain it upt 2011. I found a Note 734718 for schedule records and implemented it.
I have searched for the programs which uses '31.12.2009' as end date. I found two programs RKEVKED0, LSSQ0V28.  These are called dynamically. When I see the program I found that type-pools for KEDR is used. Also in the code dynamic table declaration is used.
I looked at KEDR transaction and nothing understood about it.
Can you please tell me how these programs are generated and why 31.12.2009 is used as end date.
    Thanks in advance

  • Deleting derivation rule for the existing characteristic in operating conce

    Hi all
My customer has two characteristics" Billing Doc(VBELN)" and" Warranty status" in the development and testing client and not in the production now.
Option 1 : Is to delete them but as the data is already posted for the same in the test and development client,it is lot more complex( involves  implementation of OSS notes-SAPNET note 21207) .
Option 2: If we decide to keep them for now:These two have a derivation rules too. So  can we simply delete the derivation rules so that data will not get posted to them( So will not effect the PSG i.e ce4xxxx table in production once the same transport is moved to production). There are no dependencies on this derivation rule.
Option 3: Can we also remove them from segment level characteristics?
Please let me know pros and cons ?
I really appreciate your time and effort.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sri

    Hi,
If the characteristics have not been transported to production then why don't you delete them in the dev/test system ? Here you can take the risk.
To delete characteristics or value fields, perform the following
    activities:
    1. Delete the corresponding characteristics and value fields from Customizing in all clients (this includes forms, reports, planning
layouts, and so forth). To locate characteristics and value fields, use the appropriate where-used list in the Customizing Monitor. You can access it by choosing Tools -> Analysis -> Check Customizing Settings (TA KECM).
You can jump directly from the where-used list to the relevant Customizing transaction and then delete the appropriate field there.
    2. Switch to the screen for maintaining the data structure of an operating concern (Maintain operating concern).
    3. If you need to effect other changes to the datastucture for the operating concern before making any deletions, effect those changes and save the data structure.
    4. In order to be able to select the fields of the data structure, choose Extras -> Characteristics (or Value fields) -> Unlock.
    5. Select the characteristics and value fields to be deleted and remove them from the data structure with the "Reset fields" function.
    6. Reactivate the operating concern. The system starts by checking whether the operating concern contains any data and whether the fields to be deleted are still being used in any Customizing settings.
    7. If none of the fields are still in use, the system then starts the re-activation. If the operating concern does not contain any data or does not require the database system to be converted, the tables are activated. You are then able to activate the environment for the operating concern. In this case, the following activities no longer apply.
If the operating concern already contains data, a system message tells you that the database needs to be converted. If you proceed, an activation log appears (at the top of the list).
    8. Analyze the activation log. If it only contains error messages telling you to convert the tables, proceed with the next activity.
You must otherwise remove the cause of the errors before the tables can be converted. In this case, you should answer "No" to the next prompt, which asks whether the conversion transaction should start.
    9. If you still only receive error messages telling you to convert the tables, choose "Back" and start the conversion.
    10. Plan a job for the conversion. A list of the tables to be converted is shown for this. If the tables only contain a small amount of data (less than 10 000 records), then all the tables can be converted in one job. In that case, you can select all the tables.
For larger tables, conversion should take place in several jobs.
However, you should ensure that table CE4xxxx (where xxxx = operating concern) is the last table to be converted.
Warning. No other changes can be made to the operating concern during the conversion.
A copy of the table is generated during the conversion. The database system should have sufficient memory available for this copy.
To schedule conversion as a job, use the "Schedule selections" function.
You can display the current status of the conversion by selecting the "Refresh" icon. Tables disappear from the list once they have been converted sucessfully. If a conversion is taking a while, it is also possible to leave the transaction. You can then continue the conversion using DB requests -> Mass processing in one of the following ways:
With the job overview. You access this by choosing System -> Services ->Jobs.
Using the database utility transaction. You access this by choosing Utilities -> Database Utility in the ABAP Dictionary menu.
You can use the status function to call up the status of the operating concern during operating concern maintenance. You need to activate all tables after conversion.
    11. To analyze errors that have occurred during the conversion, you can use the database utility transaction by choosing Extras -> Logs. The log has the same name as the conversion job: TBATG-date. You can also restart the conversion with this transaction.
For more information on the database utility, choose Help -> Application help while still in the above transaction.
    12. Once you have activated all the tables in the operating concern, generate the operating concern environment from within operating concern maintenance.
You can then use the operating concern again.
Please, refer to the IMG documentation under Controlling ->Profitability Analysis -> Structures -> Define operating concern
-> Maintain operating concern, for further details.
    regards

  • How to delete the rule in transformation

    Hi all ,
I have remodeled the info-cube and added one characteristics ZRMACTTRS.  This characteristics got updated in transformation rule..Now i want to delete it from transformation but i am unable to do so ..
I tried  deleting  the rule and message was populated "one rule is successfully deleted  " but yet it is not removed from transformation structure (this rule has a key,can i remove key from rule ?).
I have tried to remove the characteristics through remodeling but delete characteristics request is not getting active...
    Please help

yoiu can try by putting the rule to 'initial' (in rule details)...ignore the subsequent warning and delete the arrow with a right-click. Then activate your rule again...maybe this will work.

  • How to delete hidden security copies of Time Machine?

I had the same issue with Mavericks & Lion, the OS starts making by his own a hidden security copy without using Time Machine on my local disk, usually I used the next command on terminal and my problem would be deleted "sudo tmutil disablelocal" but this won't work for Yosemite.
I tried using the method on the next page OS X Yosemite: About local snapshots:
"To stop saving local snapshots, open Time Machine preferences and slide the switch to Off. Local snapshots resume when you turn Time Machine back on."
All this time it's been off, and i don't want to have local snapshots of my data, it now takes more than 70Gb and my hard drive is 250Gb.
Does anyone has any idea what's the deal with this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

It's not a problem. When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as  Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.

  • How to delete version of COPA Report

when executing ke30 someone inadvertently saved the version of data, so now whenever KE30 is executed a pop up screen appears with 'saved data', 'current data'
how do i delete the saved data version?
    thanks!

Next saved data can replace the earlier saved data.
    2. If you have sufficient authorization, then you can delete the saved data from SAPGUI>System>User Profile-->delete data.
    3. The Basis guys can help to delete the saved version.

  • Derivation rule for value fied

can any one tel me how we define derivation rules for value fields. is it posible to put derivation and how it
    will effect.
    Thanks&Regards
    Amar

    Hi
In COPA Derivation rules you can only map characteristic.. i mean you can derive only Characteristic values not for Value fields.
Value fields are normally mapped with SD conditions or GL accounts.
If you want to manipulate or recalculate the values flowing into value fields you need to use enhancements.
In this step you can set up system enhancements which are not supported in the standard R/3 System. These so-called "standard enhancements" can be used in the following areas of Profitability Analysis as below.
    Derivation of characteristic values        (COPA0001)
    Valuation                                    (COPA0002)
Direct postings to profitability segments  (COPA0003)
    Currency translation                        (COPA0004)
    Actual data update                          (COPA0005)
    Hope this helps

  • Unable to delete update rule

    Hello All,
When iam deleting an update rule it is not getting deleted and iam getting message saying underlying infosource does not exists .The underlying infosource is deleted long before any way how come deleting update rule depends on infosource. Please give me solution to delete update rule.

Try going into RSRV and choose All Elementary Tests => Database => Database Information about InfoProvider Tables and Databank Paramerters of *-Schema Tables for Infocube.
Those two options may help to correct the inconsistent state the database is currently in.
Another option .. copy your data target as a backup.  Delete the data target, then copy it back.

Transffered all the values from AUC to new AUC and create new Distribution rule group for new AUC to capitalised values.

  • How derivation rule works in COPA.

    Hi All,
I am working on profitability analzsis.I have searched in sdn and i am able to create the derivation rule.
But i am not understanding how it will works and what is the purpose of this.
Can anybody please let me  know how derivation rule works in COPA.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Derivation rule contains the parameters and conditions as to how to derive a value for a given characteristic.
    it contains
Source Fields - from where the source field is originatingand the field name
Target fields - contains what is the target field in COPA for the relevant source field.
This field is nothing but the charactiristic.
    For example:
When an SD document is posted, system will look for all the characterics available in the doucment like plant, profit center, division, district, country etc
for each of these characteristics, there must be values for example plant - xx18, profict center - 100000, district - bangalore, country - India etc.
once we define the characteristic values for each of the characteristic, if the values in the document are available in the characteristic value definition, then system will fetch these values to COPA
Else it will throw error that characteristic value is not defined
I hope your question is clarified
    Best Regards

  • How to copy copa derivation rules ( maintain rule value)

    Hi All,
Can anyone help how to copy the copa derivation rules with maintain rule value from production to quality.

    Hello,
Export and import of copa derivation rule is not possible.
usually Transports are moved from quality to production as per best policy.
Production to quality happens at the time of quality refresh.
in case of high importance please get in touch with Basis team.

  • Table look up and derivation rule in COPA

    Hi,
What is the difference between table look up and derivation rule in COPA. How do we inter rellate them in customizing.
    Please clarify.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram
Moderator: Please, avoid asking basic questions

    Hi ram,
Herewith i am giving you link i hope this will help full to you.
    deleted
Method which is used in the derivation step.
You can choose from the following derivation types:
    Derivation rule :
Derivation rules are "if-then" rules, in which you specify which combination's of characteristic values will yield which target characteristic values.
    Table look-up :
Table look-ups let you determine characteristic values by having the system read them from any table. The source fields must correspond to the key of the table where you want the system to find the target value.

  • Replicating COPA derivation rules in BI

    Hi All,
We have a requirement where we are creating an extractor and COPA derivation rules available in ECC needs to be replicated in BI. My doubts are-
    1. Could this be directly achieved in BI, if yes then how would we maintain sync between the ECC derivation rules and the replicated ones in BI. If there is some update on these rules, how would the respective BI rules get updated?
2.Should this be handled during extraction in ECC itself. If yes, what is the best approach for this?
any pointers catering to the above questions and anything related to mapping derivation rules in BI would be a great help.
Thanks in advance for your help and time.
