How to delete "duplicate shortcuts" on Launchpad?

I had recently encountered duplication of "shortcuts" on Lion OS's "Launchpad" when I installed several application, this problem bothered me a lot so I'd searched the net on forums regarding this, some says use the "Terminal app"...blaah, blaah so on and so fort.
Here's the best step-by-step solution:
a. install an application called "Mackeeper"
b. once installed, click "Smart Uninstaller" on the "Cleaning Section"
c. wait for the search results, the maneuver your way to the desired apps that you want to delete
d. if you're not so sure about the exact apps to be deleted since they have the same name, just click the apps and click the "Quick Look"
e. finally, click remove.

I would NOT recommend downloading MacKeeper at all. It is unnecessary, unhelpful, and all around not good for your Mac.
If you do experience this "duplicate shortcut" problem, however, you can click and hold your cursor on any icon, and click the little "X" that appears in the top left, exactly as you would deleting an App on your iPhone.

I'm with you verm71; it's not entirely clear how Apple is expecting you to manage this. I'm going on vacation soon and want to clean up my phone so that it's nice and empty for the new pictures. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this without losing your pictures in the new Photos as well. If imported, it's impossible to see which is the Cloud version and which is the Local version. It's very annoying.
I've also noticed in iPhoto you used to have the ability to locate the original of the picture inside the photo database. That option is not provided in Photos, making finding the original extremely difficult.
It seems to be a great, well-oiled system. But I would love to know how Apple envisions the typical workflow for archiving...

I have over 7000 photos and find it impossible to find them all. about "duplicate records" could you be more precise?.
The must be at least one different Characteristic to distinguish one record from the other (at least Request ID). In order to delete Data from InfoCubes (selectively) use ABAP Report RSDRD_DELETE_FACTS (be carefull it does not request any confirmation as in RSA1 ...).
About MM and SD Cubes see RSA1 -> Business Content -> InfoProvider by InfoAreas. See also for MetadataRepository about the same InfoProviders.
About DataSources just execute TCode LBWE in you source sys: there you see all LO-Cockipt Extrators.

I am trying to download the object DNL_CUST_BASIS2.
In the SMQ2 the status is SYSFAIL.
I checked in the ST22 for dumps.It says about the error while accessing the table T006.
While analysing this,i found some duplicate entries in the related tables of this object.
Can somebody help me how to delete these duplicate entries?

Delete them directly from the table using se16:
select the entries in the classic view (not ALV or grid view).
activate the debugger.
press the view button. --> you'll enter in the debugger
press F7
locate the sy-ucomm variable & change it to "DELE".
press F8
delete the entries.

Dupin may be what you need. If you have the same song as part of different albums then, in my opinion, these aren't really duplicates. Personally I wouldn't throw away some of the tracks on the Beatles "White Album" because I also have them on the "Blue Album".
For some more thoughts, including tips on how to manually delete duplicates if you have the patience, see this post. It's written from a PC perspective so you may need to use Option or Cmd instead of Shift or Ctrl.
