How to delete email account completely

About a year ago I spoke with a very helpful gent from the warmer part of the world, and after a lot of chat I managed to convince him that I wasn't totally mad and that yes, I really wanted to delete my main bt email account and the one subsidiary account for my wife.
Seemingly and almost reluctantly he confirmed that he had indeed actioned this and I thought no more of it. However, I keep getting emails to my old account - one yesterday from BT Yahoo advising me that my account email password had been changed.
So can onyone please tell me if there is a solution to this problem?

You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My condolences.
Cancel his Verizon account. This may require you sending a copy of a death certificate to Verizon. Calling 800-567-6789 and having his Verizon Account Number on hand would be a start and indicate you want to cancel his account.

How to delete email account on N8

Can someone, please, tell me how to delete an email account on the N8. I am having severe lagging problems with syncing (I think, since the syncin sign is visible) although I have change email and calender syncing to manual. I will try to delete and reinstall the email account to see if that helps.

Could be wrong here, so please forgive an N8'less numbskull, messaging>Options>Settings>Email then select mailbox>Options>Delete ?
Or Settings>Phone>Application sett>Messaging>Email>Mailboxes, select mailbox and delete ?

I entered Settings / Accounts / E-mail / account settings / my e-mail / but there is no any dots out there, only new button Add account. I am trying to delete not google account but e-mail account: POP / Imap ets. (by the way with google account there are also no dots to click). I would appreciate if you could send print screen to figure out where i can find these dots. Even more, it is not possible to correct account to IMAP once it is set for POP. Go to Reading list and click Show all.
Delete entries by swiping to the left.

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

How to delete emails on BB Z 10 and not on Hotmail account?

So I have been trying to figure out how to delete emails on my BBZ10 so if I let someone use my phone they will not be able to snoop at my emails. When I delete them from my BBZ10 they are deleted from the server too. Is there a way to delete them on the phone only? Or is there a way to just password protect just the email account? That would be neat, password protect just one or two applications instead of the whole phone. Password protect Facebook only, Twitter only or an email account only.

deleted emails are also deleted from the server (no more BIS).
I don't believe that you can password protect email access. The password gets stored at account setup. If you change the account password, I believe that the Z10 will ask you for the new password. I don't know if you will have the option not to save it though.

If the account was an IMAP account your emails should re-appear if you recreate the email account. If the account was POP you hopefully have backup (TIme Machine?) you can restore the emails from.
