How to delete hidden apps

How do I delete hidden apps from purchases?

You can't change history and you can't delete apps from purchases.  All you can do is hide them.

    Hi CommodoreTX,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Take a look at the article linked below, it will walk you through hiding some of your previous iTunes Store purchases.

    I hope this helps.

It's not currently possible to permanently delete any items from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they don't appear in the Purchased tab : hiding and unhiding. If your iPad is on iOS 6 then you will need to do it via your computer's iTunes.

Tap and hold your finger over the app (or any app for that matter) until they all start to wiggle.  A small X appears in the upper corner of your downloaded apps.  Tap this X to delete the app from your device.
Then hit the Home button to make the icons stop wiggling.

go into the apps page on your itunes - its in the list at the top of the page that starts with music (you don't need to have iphone connected)  right click on the apps you want to delete and then choose delete. When you next connect you iphone to update it will ask if you want to transfer things from your iphone to your itunes - click no as i think this will mean that the apps that are on your phone will go to the itunes and the deleted apps will be in itunes again (not really sure about that bit but i think i am right!!) when your iphone is updated it will tell you eventually that it is removing items from the phone - the apps will be removed.                                                                                    30GB video, 8 gb nano, 16gb iTouch, 3G iPhone, Windows 2000

The part of this that provided the working solution has to do with the location in iTunes you are doing your App management.  You have to be in the Apps item selected in the left part of the iTunes screen... not in the Apps Tab of the iPod you are trying to manage.  Having me do the delete with the iPod Touch disconnected was the detail that made me go look in the Library.
I missed this subtile clue in Philly_Phan's post... Philly_Phan did tell me how to do it, I just missed the connection due to there being too many ways to view and manage content.  The "Library" part is the detail I missed.
I hope this helps others, and I am greatly in debt to Bunnydrummer and Philly_Phan... thanks you guys!

  • I want to know how to delete game apps from my macbook pro also can i trust any macbook cleaners or keepers?

I want to know how to delete game apps from my macbook pro also can i trust any macbook cleaners or keepers? My mac seems to be running a bit off.

To delete any type of app you need to open the Finder window and highlight the app you want to delete by moving it to the trash. Empty the trash and it's gone. There are some Apple provided apps that cannot be deleted but you should not have any issue with the games.
As for cleaners, I personally don't use them but the 911 and Mackeeper are very popular and I hear work pretty well with Macs.

  • CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO DELETE AN APP FROM MY LG REVOLUTION?

CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DELETE AN APP FROM MY LG REVOLUTION?

That is going to depend on where the application is stored...
If it's Bloatware (e.g. Verizon Navigator, Bing, etc...) you will need Root permission on your phone to remove it.
If it's something you installed from the Google Play Store, then all you will need to do is open the Play store, select the Menu button, select "My Apps" and then open the app.  This should give you the "Uninstall" button.
    Hope this helps

If you want to delete an app on the iPad, tap and hold down on the icon until the icon wiggles, then tap the  X appears on the icon to delete the app. Tap the home button when finished.
You really need to explain in more detail what you wNt to do. Maybe this will help.

  • How to delete an app forever?

For the life in me I can't delete a huge app that bothers me everytime it has an update.
I deleted it from my iPhone, from iTunes and from the "downloads" folder inside the Mobile Apps folder. It's about 77MB big (a full set of pictures download everytime), I don't want it anymore, but it stays forever as an update in iTunes list of available downloads. I could let it download and forget about it till next update, but I'd really prefer not to.
How can I get rid of it once and for all?
    JJ

While restoring purchases on a new/replaced device from iCloud, if iOS does not restore HIDDEN apps from my iTunes account, that would be the right solution. If I need to reinstall a hidden app, I just unhide it and restore. This way, all the apps are there in our account but only the VISIBLE apps are downloaded/updated to our device.

  • How to delete an App I did not install on my machine

My son's school requires them to use MacBookPro's (three cheers).   His laptop broke so I restored his Time Machine backup to an external drive which is attached to my desktop system.  That way he could keep up with his work until the repairs were complete.  Somehow, during the restore process,  the App Store decided that the apps that he and his school used were now legitimately installed on my system. They show up whenever updates are available.   My son gave me his username and password so I can at least do the updates (I tried deleting the apps from my machine and - as many threads have repeated - the App Store keeps the history so I get notified regardless).  The apps he used were all free ones so other than being an annoyance, there is no serious problem.  The difficulty comes in with apps which the school had licensed for and installed for every student.   That password is a tightly guarded secret which the school will not give out no matter what (nor should they).   I can not expect them to come to my house (several hundred miles away) and log in to the App Store on my machine to do the updates.   I've notified the school of what has happened so when they get their usage logs from the vendor they do not think I intentionally made pirated copies.
Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of these apps (which I do not use and am not licensed for) ?  This is a fundamentally different question that the old war horse of how to remove something from the App Store purchase history.   As a result of trying to provide a stopgap for my son, I have the appearance of having expensive, unlicensed software on my machine.  Because I do some work for the US government, the auditors periodically have me proove that everything on my machine is fully licensed and legal.   I've explained what happened to them and while they "understand", they say they have zero flexibility to allow me to be out of compliance.   Since the "violation" is associated with me individually, even purchasing a brand new computer will not solve the problem.
    Help !!!!

Thank you.   I had already done the things you suggested but did not know that my son had made a clone of his drive elsewhere on my machine (he just wanted to be sure that I didn't accidentally delete his "stuff").   Your response got me to search everything and not assume that everything was in the applications folder.   Once I found his clone, I deleted it and the problems all went away.

  • Please help.  I do not know how to delete the app draw something from my iPad 2. Can you help?

I know this may be a silly question... Please don't judge... Could someone please explain to my how to go about deleting an app. Draw something.  From my ipad2?  It is completely frozen and won't open after updating it.  Many thanks for any help.

To delete an App, hold your finger on the app until all Apps start jiggle.  An X will appear in the upper left corner of the App.  Touch the X and the App will be deleted from your iPad.  You can redownload the App anytime in the future as once you've bought an App, it's yours as long as you are using the same Apple ID.

  • Anyone know how to delete an App from itunes library?

    Hi All,
I have a number of Apps that I have tried to remove from my itunes account. These are just games that I no longer play or have never played.
First I tried selecting the App in itunes, then Edit/Delete then it will ask you if you want to remove file. Then I emptied the trash.
This did not work. Now every time an update is available for the previously deleted App it will download that update then try and re-download the full game.
Secondly I have tried going to "finder" and finding the file on the Mac HD. and then deleting the file/game this way.
This also did not work and again the game is try to re-download.
As you can imagine this is becoming quite annoying and is starting to clog up my downloads when I check for other updates.
    Can anyone help???
    Regards,
    Pete

Thanks but this didn't resolve a thing.

I have no problem deleting the app from my mobile device.
The problem comes when I delete it from itunes and form my iMac. I know that the Apps are stored in the "mobile application" folder on my Mac HD. But even when deleting the file from that location the App still re-downloads every time I check for updates in itunes app store.
No matter how many times I delete the file and no matter where I delete it from, It always downloads again.
I no longer want these apps why can't I delete them completely?

You can't delete it, but if you don't want to use it for messages go to Messages>Preferences>Accounts and disable any active accounts (such as iCloud).
