How to delete icloud after it has been reset to factory settings.

My grandmother had recently given me her iPhone because I had no phone. She switched to android. Note: she has no idea what her password email is to the iTunes account.(She has Alzheimer's) Fancy that. The iPhone 4 is backed up to icloud. I looked on the internet and restored it to factory settings through iTunes on my computer thinking it could work and delte her info. The phone is still linked to her account. I am unable to setup up the phone because of that. note: I am at the "Hello, welcome to your new iPhone" screen. Any help?

Does the email address give you any idea of what her Apple ID might have been? As ManSinha indicated, if you can retrieve her Apple ID via the FORGOT APPLE ID site, then you might have a shot at getting the password reset so you can log her off of Find My iPhone.
What you are seeing here is the Activation Lock:

To remove the Activation Lock, one of the following sets of actions must be completed:

  • How can I recover pictures from iphone 4 after it has been restored to factory settings

My little cousin was playing with my iphone and restored it to factory settings. Is there a way to retrive my pictures on the phone?

My pictures have been backed, but not for the last 3 months. Does this mean the ones that are not backed are lost? .... right now it is asking if I want "restore to new iphone" or "back up from itunes"  ... which would you recomend I choose.. and is there any other way to get back what was lost?
    Thanks for your reply.

  • My Mac has recently been restored in an Apple Store. I'm wanting to backup my iPhone 4 so I can use that data on my new iPhone 5. Though as my apple ID and everything has been reset to Factory Settings, if I plug my iphone in, will it erase everything?

Okay, so I got Apple to restore my whole Mac operating system, and it obviously reset all my settings and computer to factory settings. As I now have an iPhone 5 and wanting to backup my iPhone 4, I can't do this as my Mac does not have any recorded backup's from before as they were deleted in the restoration. So i want to plug my iPhone 4 in to back it up. The main question is if I plug my iPhone 4 in, will it erase everything? and if so, how do i prevent this from happening as I have very important data on my iPhone 4 i can't lose.
    Thanks
    Georgia!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    Also
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.

  • I have just bought a 2nd generation iPod touch , it has been reset to factory settings and has no option to update it ? How do I do this ? Also it will not show up in my iTunes or my computer could someone please help??

Please help as it is starting to look like I have wasted money
I bought an iPod touch 2nd generation and it won't let me download anything as it no been updated I know I cannot get the recent update but how do I get an old one ? , also it is not showing up in iTunes or my computer so I cannot put songs on can someone please help ??

The 2G can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. To find apps for the 2G
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
    Vintapps 3.1.3 - paid app.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
    To update to 4.2.1
The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.
Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes as far as your iPod model allows
A 2G to 4.2.1. Requires iTunes version 10.X. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later.

  • After password has been reset how do I reset keychain?

After password has been reset how do I reset keychain?

That article is a great help if you remember your OLD login password.
If not, the bad news is in this article:
OS X: Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password
read it carefully, It explains how to change your keychain by using the OLD password.
If you don't remember your original (former) account password
If you don't remember your original password, you'll need to delete the keychain. Deleting a keychain also deletes all the password data saved in that keychain.
If this applies, it means is that your old saved passwords are lost.
You will have to start collecting them anew and adding them to the new keychain. Use Web mail and log in to your email with a Browser. Get them to send you your old password or reset it, then record the new one in Mail Preferences, and it will be saved in the current login keychain.
You will have to do a similar exercise with your other saved passwords.

How do you resolve error code 36 when trying to restore an iPad that has been reset to original settings?

    MB-
As far as I can tell, Error Code 36 is an "I/O Error".  It may mean you have a bad USB cable between the iPad and your computer, or the cable was not plugged in firmly.

  • My PC has been restored to factory settings, can i sync my music on my ipod with a new itunes page.

my PC has been restored to factory settings, can i sync my music on my ipod with a newly downloaded itunes

You'll want to copy the music from your iPod to your computer and into iTunes first.  See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering some of the different methods and software available to assist you with this task.  Once you have successfully copied all your content back to your PC and into iTunes, you can safely Erase and Sync your iPod.

If it was misrepresented by the seller, file a claim with ebay and get your money back.

  • How do i turn on my ipod touch after it has been reset?

this ipod touch doesnt have a camera on it so its the old one and it has been reset and now when i hold down the top button the apple sign shows up for a secod then it turns back off

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How can I tell if my macbook pro has been restored to factory settings?

I just bought I brand new macbook pro (15,4 inch) from an official apple store... but I'm thinking that it may be used (it was a bit dirty when I opened it, but it has no scratches).
I tried with coconut battery, but it went ok, the battery is new. However they might have changed it.
Is there a way to know if the mac was restored to factory settings?
... if not, is there any other way to know if is a used laptop?
    Thanks,

cycle count says 1... wich correspond to the initial battery discharge I just did. That's why I think they may have changed the battery.
Serial number is C02FHFG0DF8V... how can you tell if this correspond to a refurbished unit?
It has all the "official" envelops of a brand new mac... the thing is that I found small dust specks all over the interior of the box and in the accesories (not on the notebook itself).
According to coconut "Age of your Mac" is 11 weeks.
That's why I thought the only way I could knew for sure if they used it before (maybe for showcasing at the store) was finding out if it was restored to factory settings. (Also I bought it in an official apple store).

  • My PC has been restored to factory settings some of my photos are in a album on my iphone only how can i get them back onto my pc

I have had to restore my PC to factory settings and didnt back up all of my photos but they are in seperate albums on my iphone 4 how can i get them back onto my pc many thaks johnmall

You can transfer contents from your iPhone back to iTunes library:
First, *BEFORE you connect the iPhone, please go to the iTunes preferences and select "devices", then select "disable automatic syncing for iPad, iPhones and iPods"*.
Then, for those songs that you purchased on your iPhone: Transfer purchases from iPod to iTunes.
For all other non purchased contents (your photos etc), their are ton of third party programs, some is free: iDump, Floola. Some is shareware, but they does preserve playlist/ratings/playcounts/artworks etc: iCopyBot, CopyTrans

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your phone.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

  • How to delete an attachment which has been published to a catalog

    Hi folks,
    11.5.10.2
We have enabled the Attachments function on JTF Define Resources (JTFRSDEF) form.
Once an attachment is uploaded, we also publish it to a catalog.
Is there any way to delete an uploaded / published attachment?
    Kindly help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: user12003895 on Jul 15, 2010 2:42 PM

You should not delete an asset. You should retire it. Period.
If you have 300k assets to be retired, then instead of doing it manually, you can try the following options.
    1) Mass Transactions > Retirements
    2) Retirement API
    3) Using the FA_MASS_EXT_RETIREMENTS interface. First populate FA_MASS_EXT_RETIREMENTS table and then run the "Post Mass External Retirements" concurrent request.
    Hope this answers your question
