How to delete images or photos from Photostream

Is it possible to delete images or photos in Photostream? If yes, how to proceed?

How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream in iCloud?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.
How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream on my devices?
After deleting the photos from your Photo Stream in iCloud, you can remove the Photo Stream photos from your devices as follows:
On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream and turn Photo Stream off. This will delete all the photos from your Photo Stream album. If there are any photos you want to keep on your device, make sure to add them to an album or save them to your Camera Roll first.

    How do I move a photo from Photostream to a folder/album in Photostream?

    When I click on PhotoStream in iPhoto, I have two "categories":  My Photos, and Family and Friends Photos.  Under My Photos I have the following albums:  "My Photo Stream", "Miscellaneous", "Grandchildren", and "Family Photos".  All photos that I move from anywhere else automatically go into 'My Photo Stream".  I would like to move (or copy) some of the photos from "My Photo Stream" into one of the other three albums.
    Hope I have done a better job of explaining my situation.  Thanks again for your help.  Dick

  • How do you  select multiple photos from photostream to move to a folder

    how do i select multiple photos from photostream to move to a folder in iphoto

    Hello Tiggertiffany,
    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    If you need to select multiple items on iCloud.com then you can use the common procedure to select multiple items by either holding Command or Shift on your keyboard.
    To select multiple files or folders, hold down the Command (⌘) key, then click the items.
    To select multiple files or folders that are listed together, click the first item you want to select, hold down the Shift key, then click the last item.

  • How do I get my photos from photostream in my PC to my iPhone?

    I had to hand my phone in for repair a while ago and all my photos got deleted from my iPhone, but i had placed all my photos in photostream so I would be able to get access to them on my iPhone later on but now I can't get my photos from photostream in my PC into my photostream on my iPhone. When I take a picture with my iPhone it ends up in photostream but is doesn't work the other way around. I've been trying to get it to work for ages now, but I'm so close to throwing both my phone and computer out the window.
    And yes, everything that has to do with photostream and icloud and so has been turned on so it's not that. Anyone who knows what to do?

    On a PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later, open a Windows Explorer window. Select Photo Stream under Favorites. Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select photos to import to My Photo Stream, and then click Open.

  • HT201317 How do I take a photo from photostream and put it in a document

    I can't figure out how I can use my pictures from photostream other than viewing and sharing. I need to insert them into projects I'm creating.

    To do this on your phone, copy and paste them into your document (tap and hold on the photo to copy it).  If you need to import it to your computer to do this, save it to the camera roll by tapping Edit, tap the photos you want to import, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  You can then import them to your computer using your usb cable (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083).  Alternatively, attach them 3-4 at a time emails and send them to yourself.

  • How to delete multiple unplaced photos from photo book?

    Too many photos were loaded into book project, is there a way to select more than 1 photo at a time to be removed from the book project?

    Hi Terence
    Because over time I will have a lot of books and in each one will have thousands of thumbnails not being used. Must be taking up space surely, because when I delete the original photo from the library the thumbnail is still in the book. So its unused and unnecessary, so therefore would like to delete it.
    For info, I want to delete my library and re-import because I synchronise my photos with my home computer, which is Windows. My photo library is organised in folders before importing into iphoto, such as:
    Holidays 2009
    -> Spain
    -> France
    Family
    -> Rosy
    ----> 0 to 3 Months
    ----> 3 to 6 Months
    ----> 6 to 9 Months
    ----> etc
    Finlay
    --> 0 to 3 Months
    Activities
    --> Snowdonia 2009
    So this is great to be able to find the photos I need.
    iPhoto completely destroys that, I now have something like:-
    2009
    --> Spain
    --> France
    --> Snowdonia
    --> 0 to 3 Months
    --> 3 to 6 Months
    --> 6 to 9 Months
    2010
    --> 0 to 3 Months
    So you can see there is now no categorisation, Rosy and Finlay have disappeared from my hierarchy, I would not know what are Holidays or what are Activites.
    This is OK If I only used iPhoto I can rename the Event. But this does NOT rename the folder. So now when I sync with windows I get the second list above and my categorisation is lost. So I have a lot more than the above folders, its a nightmare to identify what the folders are as I have not renamed them with the full keywords, but have used a hierarchy system.
    So I want to delete my library, and rename all my folders so I get something like Rosy 0 to 3 Months etc. This way when I import the Event is called this, and when I sync with windows the folder is named this too. I dont mind the iPhoto hierarchy, I just need the folders to be called something descriptive.

  • How to delete synced-in photos from iPad?

    Thanks to all who responded to my query re deleting photos from iPhoto in iPad.
    Consequential question is:
    Most of those to be deleted were synced in from my computer. How do I set about
    deleting these?

    If photos were synced from your computer then they can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need to remove/de-select them from where you synced it from on your computer and re-sync.

  • 10.10.3 Photos: How to Delete Previously Imported Photos from iPhone?

    iPhoto has an option to import only new photos from an iPhone, and then an option to delete all previously imported photos from a connected iPhone after an import session. In this way, I could avoid having duplicate photos in iPhoto, and also remove all photos from my iPhone photo roll, including any that had come into iPhoto via Photo Stream.
    This functionality seems to be gone in Photos, which in my opinion is a huge step back.
    It seems I am left either to import all photos and then delete duplicates from Photos, or to import only the odd new photos, and still have all the photos that were imported via Photo Stream remain clogging up my Camera Roll, which I like to keep clean.
    Has anyone found a way to handle this task like used to be handled in iPhoto?

    I believe the architecture behind Photos and the iCloud photo library is that you'll have a unified photo library across all your devices, and that you can manage your library from any device linked to iCloud. So the answer is, you cannot import images to iCloud and then delete them from your camera roll, doing so would delete them from the iCloud photo library.
    In the iCloud Settings on your iPhone, you can set up iCloud to optimize storage for your iPhone. That is, you'll have smaller sized images stored on your device to view. If you wish to edit an image, the full-sized image will be downloaded from iCloud. I believe Favorites are stored as full-sized images at all times.
    If this isn't the behavior you desire, you'll have to disable iCloud photos and use an alternative cloud storage setup such as Dropbox. I wouldn't link the Camera app to Dropbox, instead I'd use Image Capture to import the images from your phone to the Dropbox photos folder, then delete the images from the iPhone if that's your wish. It may be possible to do something similar with Flickr. They have a Mac app that will automatically upload new images from a source you select. So again you'd use Image Capture to import your photos from you iPhone to a folder you designate on your Mac. Once in the Flickr cloud, they're not linked to anything on your Mac. If you delete them from your Mac, they remain in Flickr.

  • How to delete audio and photos from my ipad and export to ITunes?

    I've read about this issue extensively and still can't figure out how to export my audio, picts, etc., to I Tunes and then delete the files on my I Pad. Firstly, all of my audio files don't show up when I sync, only some. These are files I've created in music software apps. I need to free up space and would really like to store these files on my Mac, but delete on the I Pad. Any help would be appreciated.

  • HT204022 how do i get the photos from photostream to show up in the photostream on a windows 7 computer? I can't download them to the computer to free up space on the ipad

    I can't see the photos clogging up our ipad when i hook the ipad up to the ciomputer. I can't dump them to a folder on ther computer. What I am going to end up doing is emailing them all to download and save from email..this really *****. It tells me to enable the photostream which i have done then doesnt recognize it..

    Save your photo stream photos to your camera roll by opening the my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Then you can import them to your computer using your usb cable, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
    If you want them streamed to your computer, you have to sign into your iCloud account and enable photo stream, as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.  However, you will only receive photo stream photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud (even though they may be on your iPad).

  • How to delete all my photos from my iphone for storage space

    my photos are taking up a large portion of the storage on my phone...i've uploaded them to my computer and now i'd like to delete them all so i have more room for music. how can i delete them for good on my phone? is there any way to delete the following albums (or at least the pictures from the albums) : events from my mac, faces from my mac, and the last 12 months album. i just want to be able to put more music on my phone but my pictures are taking up more than half of the storage! please help

    If you've synced photos to your iPhone through iTunes, change your sync settings in iTunes to not sync any photos and apply the change.
    That will remove all synced photos, but not photos that you've taken with your iPhone's camera -- for those if you've imported them to your computer then to remove them you have to delete them one by one from the iPhone, or use your computer (assuming you have a Mac, iPhoto should allow you to select and delete what's stored on the iPhone, except for synced photos via iTunes).
    Then there's iCloud photos.  iCloud only holds the last 30 days of photos, but your device will continue to hold them up to the 1000 photo limit, regardless of how old they are.  To reduce these, you can delete one by one, or if you Restore your iPhone that will strip off all iCloud photos, and add back only the last 30 days of iCloud photos, assuming you leave the Photo Stream setting ON in iCloud settings.

  • How can I import all photos from iPhoto and delete all the ones currently on my iPad?

    I uploaded all of my iPad's photos to iPhoto('08) thinking it would be easier to delete and organize them. Now that I've done that in iPhoto I need help finding out how to delete all the photos from the iPad and have the iPhoto photos imported from iPhoto back to the iPad.

    This workflow may do what you want:
    1 - launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new library.
    2 - connect the iPad to your Mac with the new library open.
    3 - import all of the photos from the iPad into the new library.
    4 - select the option to delete all of the photos from the iPad.
    5 - disconnect the iPad and delete the new library.
    6 - launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select your original library.
    7 - assemble the photos destined for the iPad so you can easily identify them by album or event which you alread have done.
    8 - launch iTunes and connect the iPad to your Mac.
    9 - go to the photos section for you iPad and synce those particular albums or Events with the iPad.
    That will get those specific iPad photos back into the iPad.
