How to delete jdev preferences on mac

Hi,
I want to delete preferences data of jdeveloper on mac(like system folder in windows) since its still referring to old location after uninstall/reinstall because of that iam unable to install extensions properly. I have tried by uninstalling and reinstall but i could not.
I am getting message as "some updates have already been installed since Jdeveloper was started. It is strongly recommended that Jdeveloper is restarted before additional updates are installed. If you proceed, installed patches and extensions may not work properly".
So where can i find the folder of preferences of jdeveloper to delete or uninstall jdev completely.
Thanks
Shyam

  • How to delete system preference on Mac Mini OS X 10.9.2

I purchased a Plantronics Gamecom 780 headset awhile ago. I can hear through it just fine however the mic has huge amounts of static. I know the headset should work on Mac. Ive tested it on other computers and it works perfectly. I believe that its just a corrupt system preference file but I don't know how to find it and delete it on this computer. Before you say anything, yes I have unmuted it, Ive gone into system preferences and than sound to mess with it in there.

  • How to delete photos transferred from mac to iphone ?

I have searched on Google "how to delete photos transferred from mac to iPhone"
It returned the following result :
    To do so just:
In iTunes select the device icon in the Devices List on the left. ...
Choose Sync photos from, being iPhoto or Aperture on a Mac and Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements on a Windows PC.
Choose Select Albums and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.
But the problem here is that I have deleted the album which I synced via iTunes on Mac.
Now how can deleted those synced photos from my iPhone ?

No. Hook it up to any computer running iTunes. Make sure that you do not have any of the other tabs set up to sync, so that you do not overlay the info you have on your device for Music, Movies, etc., then go the the Music tab and un-check Sync Music. This should remove all sync'd music from your device. (this is presuming that the Mac you sync with does not have any photos you do want to sync with your device. If it does have any photos you want to sync, then instead of turning off the Music syncing altogether, you can just select what you do want to sync, and the sync will remove all other sync'd albums).

  • How to delete/remove DigiNotar in Mac OS X 10.5.8's Safari?

    Hello.
I noticed Apple never released an update to delete/remove DigiNotar in Mac OS X 10.5.8 since I have all updates. I was able to tell Keychain to untrust it from http://fairerplatform.com/2011/09/how-to-disable-diginotar-ssl-certificate/artic le, but it won't let me delete it. Mac OS X just beeps at me when I hit delete key on this Intel MacBook Pro (from October 2008). I tried dragging it to the trash can, but that didn't do anything. Am I missing something? I did unlock this Keychain screen and was able to untrust.
    Thank you in advance.

Perfect. Search to find two hits and then deleting them (right click and then delete option for me) worked! Weird design!
Even more weird, http://fairerplatform.com/2011/09/how-to-disable-diginotar-ssl-certificate/artic le is gone! I wanted to read its instructions on how to test it.

  • How to delete the Preferences file in mavericks

I have seen advice to delete my preferences to fix some "wonky" behavior (radial filter doesn't show outlines when applying it) by LR 5.5.   I have Mavericks on my Mac, and can't find out where to do this.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

    Preferences file location:
Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5
Once you find the file, it can be deleted like any other file, but consider renaming it instead, so in case it doesn't help, you can rename it back..
    Quit Lightroom first!

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How to delete an Album in .Mac web gallery?

I sent a couple of albums to my .mac web gallery using iPhoto for organization.
A couple of months later I eliminated that particular iPhoto library all together when I re did my photo organization.
I've since re-done the photo organization and made up a new iPhoto for just the web gallery photos (having them a smaller size)
I published the new photos from the new iPhoto library to my .mac site but noticed there are 2 albums still there from the old iPhoto.
Since the old iPhoto has been eliminated, how do I eliminate the old albums on the iWeb site?
I looked and tried to find them in the hard drive library, apps support but don't see anything that says iPhoto or iWeb support.
How do you eliminate an album on the .mac site if the original photos are not on iPhoto? I assume there should be a place on the hard drive, but where do I look?
    allie

Go to iDisk>Web>Sites>_gallery and delete the folder.
Perhaps it's wise to check the content of the folders if you have more than one.

  • How to delete iCal sync in .Mac

I want to delete my iCal info (from my syncs) in .Mac. I created a mess and I want to start over. Problem is when I sync I retrieve the messy info saved on my .mac???
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    fredericlang,
Follow the procedures list in...How to reset .Mac Sync: If your .Mac Sync begins to behave oddly, resetting the sync is a good troubleshooting step. It's essentially a "do-over," in case the computer got confused.
If you are going to reset the sync data, make sure to reset it from the computer that has the most up-to-date information on it. If you sync between computers with different versions of Mac OS X, try to reset the sync data from the computer with Mac OS X 10.4, if possible. Here's how to reset .Mac Sync....;~)

  • How to delete printer preferences

When I try to go and change the default printer, it reverts back to previous printer.
When I try to "use last used printer" option, print to new printer, then go back to print the default has changed back to the old printer.
When you go to the printer settings and try to set there it reverts right away back to the old printer.
I have tried to delete the old and new printer but the old keeps on coming back.
How can I get this reset. Or get the printer preferences delete so I can set a default printer again.
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Ben

Thanks for the tip Cattus Thraex, I think that may have did it. I am not sure if this fixed the issue but when I went back to look at the system the new default printer was selected. So I went ahead and tried this anyway and I will update if still an issue.
    Thanks for the help.

  • How to delete linux/ubuntu from mac?

Please help I dont know what else to do I have tried everything. Everytime I try to delete it through bootcamp I get a message saying, "The disk is not journaled. You must enable journaling using Disk Utility before using the Boot Camp Assistant." And I have tried doing it in disk utility too. None of it will get rid of the particion. I really need to delete it because I need the space. Thanks for any help.

Ok, you got a dual boot setup, you must of have used Bootcamp to create the partition and then installed Linux in there instead of Windows.
First thing to remmeber is Linux reformatted the partition to EXT when it installed.
Mac's can't read that format or even acknowledge it exists.
Second it's likely a sub partition called Linux Swap was also created as this is how Linux handles excess memory needs, by swapping the contents to a seperate partition for security.
It's possible this sub-partiton is under the main partition, so dealing with the main Linux partition should hopefully remove it in Step #4, else #2 or #3 will do it.
    Step 1
The first order of business is your going to have to get a copy of your User file folders (Music, Documents, Pictures etc) out of OS X and onto a external hfs journaled (Disk Utility) formatted drive (not TimeMachine!) and disconnect this drive. (and any other drives as well so there are no mistakes)
You should also make a note of anything like serial numbers, email addreses or other things that are very important as you might be having to erase and reformat the entire drive and reinstalling OS X.
Note: Always keep a two copies of your vital data at all times.
    Step 2
The absolute best method. If you have another blank external powered drive (not the one with your backup of files) then download the free to use Carbon Copy Cloner and simply clone (use the default settings for now) your OS X 10.6 to the external drive.
When that's finished you can hold the option key and boot the computer from it. Now your happy.
You can use Disk Utility on the clone to erase and format the entire drive, GUID partition map, HFS+ journaled and simply CCC back onto the internal drive.
Reboot and run ALL of OnyX's maintainence and cleaning aspects and reboot. Zoom
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/
    Step 3:
Not the best method, but works, hold c and boot off the 10.6 installer disk, select Disk Utility and Erase the whole drive format hfs+ journaled and quit, reinstall OS X, Software Update, install programs from fresh sources and finally files from backup back into their respective folders like before (not Library, leave that alone)
When you enter the hard drive name, use the same name as before, when you go through setup, use the same username as before. This is important or you lose your pathnames to your iTunes music file locations and wind up with a bunch of exclamation points.
    Step 4
A chance this might work and save yourself some work and be experimental before trying the Step 3 above. Go to Disk Utility and select the Linux partition, rename it BOOTCAMP and change the partition to MSDOS and let it rip. Then enter Bootcramps and see if it recognizes it and allows you to unpartiton it.
If it works then the 2 and 3 steps are obviously not needed, but #2 is advised as a bootable backup method in addition or surplanting TimeMachine as TM drives  are NOT bootable.

  • How to delete recent file history in adobe reader in Mac PC ?

How to delete recent file history in Adobe Reader in Mac PC ?
In Adobe Reader - Edit - Preferences - select Documents in the left panel and change the "Documents in recently used list" to 0. Yes ! the file history is gone But when you set back the value, you will see the file history again. This is not the way to do...
I have checked all the preference or setting. I couldn't found any clear recent file history in adobe reader.
    Please help ! Thanks !

First off, you CANNOT set recent documents to zero. The absolute minimum it will accept is 1. And on my MacMini, (I just checked it to be 100% sure) I opened seven documents with Recent Docs set to 10 - they were ALL listed. I set it to 1 and all but the most recent cleared. I then closed Reader and reopened it. The list was 1 item. I reset Recent Docs to 10 and there was still only 1 item in the list.
