How to delete JPEGs after RAW + JPEG import of referenced files?

Anyone know? I gather that simply deleting the JPEGs in the finder will mess up the Aperture library.

How to delete only events I previously imported from .ics files?

I have a very frustrating problem. A few months ago I added a few .ics calendars and merged them with my main calendar on iCal. For example I added a list of dates of baseball games for my favorite team, a list of holidays in Britain, and a few other .ics files.
Then tragedy struck: I synced my Blackberry to my Macbook and iCal and then somehow all the dates on the imported .ics became one day earlier. For example, valentine's day, which should be February 14, is on February 13 on my calendar. And Christmas is on December 24, rather than December 25.
Strangely, all the events that I manually added (such as my business meetings), are correct and were never changed. Only the dates/events from the imported .ics files changed.
I have waited a few months, but the frustration is just too much. I can not easily delete my main calendar, because it literally has hundreds of business meetings spread out over a 6-9 month period.
So my question is this:
a) Is there a way to move all the date back 1 day for only things imported from .ics? All these holidays and events are i a small purple oval at the top of each date, so they are definitely look different than the business meetings I entered, so I hope there is a way to selectively move them.
b) Is there a way to delete all those events and then try re-importing them?

Right, I only have 1 calendar. Ok, I did this but nothing seems changed. Here is what I did:
I followed your directions and it ran for about 4 min and I heard my fan starting up and my Macbook slowed. Then things got better and my iCal crashed. I forgot to close it before I ran this I received no error message, but nothing changed in iCal and all the One Day Events were still there.
So I then had the iCal closed, and attempted all steps again. Again it ran for about 4min, things slowed on my computer to a crawl, then got better. Then the Apple error window opened and said again iCal quit unexpectedly (I had not started it in the first place, but I assume the script had to open it to do the work, right?).
So now I'm back where I started -- it seems like the script was doing something but it didn't do anything to my one day events
I REALLY appreciate your help!

Raw+Jpeg import shows 2 files

I have run into an issue when importing photos from my IPad. When I am working from remote I import my images to my IPad using the connection kit and then import them when I return to work on them in Aperture. Since upgrading to Mountain Lion and Aperture 3.3.2, the files are no longer attached to each other and show as separate images. This is creating 2 images for every RAW+Jpeg file I import. Is there a way to get Aperture to join the two images back together? Is anyone else running into this issue?

Did you check your RAW+JPEG import setting? (see below) It sounds like yours was set to Both (Separate Originals). Set it to one of the first two to have them joined.
I don't know of a way to join them after import (nor separate them either).

I'm not sure of his/her reasoning behind this, but I have yet to find a way to record video with mmapi on j2me. So with that restriction, I can see how one could make it so that it just records a lot of jpegs, and then makes it a movie.
I would be interested finding a workaround for this too. Either if someone would explain how to record video with mmapi or how to make recorded images into a video. Thanks!

How to delete Gmail contacts from SIM import

Hi,
I just picked up an iPhone 6 today. I had a Nexus 4 prior, and they rep at the store asked me if I wanted to transfer my contacts over to the iPhone. I said yes, please transfer. Well, I now have over 700 contacts. The way the clerk imported the contacts ended up carrying over every email address I had on the phone, not just my 'contacts' with phone numbers etc. Is there any quick way to undo this without spending hours deleting them one by one? This happened prior to me ever syncing anything with gmail. I had not even set up my Google/gmail account on the new iPhone when I walked out of the store...I already had the 700+ 'contacts' when I walked out.

Ok so managed to fix the contacts double up by tackling that in Outlook, where it had stored phone contacts separately, but still no luck on the calendar sync. Any suggestions?

My grandmother had recently given me her iPhone because I had no phone. She switched to android. Note: she has no idea what her password email is to the iTunes account.(She has Alzheimer's) Fancy that. The iPhone 4 is backed up to icloud. Does the email address give you any idea of what her Apple ID might have been? As ManSinha indicated, if you can retrieve her Apple ID via the FORGOT APPLE ID site, then you might have a shot at getting the password reset so you can log her off of Find My iPhone.
What you are seeing here is the Activation Lock:

The entire purpose of sqlloader is to load data (hence, the name sql*loader*) into a table from an external source. If you want to delete rows from a table, you use the sql DELETE statement.

How to remove first 7 seconds of imported video & audio files

I've imported 2-hour audio & video files (edited in FCP, then taken to Compressor) into my DVDSP project.
Can I now edit out the first 7 seconds of what I imported, before I burn the DVD? If so, how? (I want to remove a title that I should have removed originally in FCP, but didn't. Don't want to wait hours to re-compress the files.)

There is no editing in DVD SP. If you want to edit out the first 7 seconds you will have to do that in FCP.
An alternative is to put a chapter marker at the 7 second spot and then target that. The problems with this is that you might not be able to put the chapter marker on the exact frame you might want, and people can rewind and discover those 7 seconds.

Umm, no. Never ever. Sorry, this will not work and there's no way around it. Simple computational math: 14174*7084*8bit*3channels makes about 2 GB alone for this single image. you do not even have half of it because your operating system and AI itself already take up memory. Unless you can work with a considerably smaller version of your image, this is simply unrealistic.
