How to delete multiple emails at one time instead of individually
I want to select random emails (not all in a row sequentially) and delete with single function. I don't want to have to delete each unwanted email individually. How to d this?
Also, There is no delete function at top of email screen-why not?
Have you ever deleted multiple files in Explorer at once? Thunderbird works the same way.
Select the first message you want to delete. Then press and hold Shift and select the last message to be deleted. This selects all messages in between the first and the last one.
By holding down Ctrl and click on an individual messages you can select or de-select it.
Then press Del to delete all selected messages.

Select a message, hold the move button, deselect the message while still holding the move button.
A new window appears allowing you to move all messages to the trash.

Is there a way to delete multiple emails at one time?
I did a search but didn't find anything on this.
I just got the new 3G and when I setup one of my email accounts (not .mac) it downloaded 700 emails from that account even though about 600 had been previously deleted.
Is there a way to select multiple emails for deletion? Deleting that many one at a time would be tedious to say the least. These messages may have been deleted from the email client used on your computer for accessing the account but they weren't deleted at the incoming mail server for the account. If so, the iPhone's Mail client would not have downloaded these messages.
With the mailbox selected, select edit. Each message that you want to delete must be selected which will place a check in the circle to the left of the message.
Select Delete at the bottom. -

How do I delete multiple emails at one time
I have a ton of emails that I don't need to keep on my iPad. Is there a way to delete everything at once without tapping each individual email? If not, can I just delete the accounts and then re-enter them?
Thanks,You can do it from the Email app the way described by Japid, it's still not fast by any means at all. but, I believe that if you use Yahoo or Google, etc.......you can go to the site on Safari and log into your, say, Yahoo account from there. That should give you more & faster options for deleting groups of e-mails at a time. I know, I literally have tens of thousands on an account I've had for years. I should just delete it, but I'm unable to convince myself for some stupid reason, as if I'm going to miss some important message from a work mate I had 8 years and 2 jobs ago or something lame.

Can I delete multiple songs at one time from my iPad mini
Is there a way to delete multiple songs at one time without doing a hard reset?
Here are two ways I would try:
You can hold down your shift key while selecting playlists. This allows you to select multiple items. However, it does not allow you to skip over a playlist. All contiguous lists will be selected using this method. Once you have all the playlists selected, right click on the selection and choose delete.
If method one won't work because you want to pick and choose lists to delete, I'd make a folder and pull all of the lists I don't want into this folder. Then you can delete the whole folder. Once you have all of the playlists you no longer want in the folder, just right click on the folder and choose delete. -
How to delete Multiple Artists in one action?
Hi,
I want to do a big clean up on an iTunes library with over 4000 albums.
How can I delete multiple Artists in one action?
It looks like I can only delete 1 Artist at a time, and then this action shoots me to the top of the list. Which is a pain then having to scroll back down through such a huge list to then delete the others one at a time... each time being shot back to the top of the list.
For example I have the following artists;
The Alarm 01 – 1 song
The Alarm 02 – 1 song
The Alarm 03 – 1 song
The Alarm 04 – 1 song
The Alarm 05 – 1 song
The Alarm 06 – 1 song
And I want to delete them all in 1 action.
Can this be done? How best to do it?
Thanks in advance,
DaveYou can't delete "artists" - just songs (or songs grouped into albums). When iTunes displays the library or a playlist in Artists view it is doing so using the metadata values set in the relevant songs. If you're looking at this view:
then your selections in the left pane - the artists list - is filtering what you see on the right. When you select Delete via the keyboard or via a right-click operation, you are initiating an operation to delete the songs by that artist. To delete songs by more than one artist in a single operation you'll need to select and delete in Albums view:
or in Songs view:
where you can also use the Column Browser to filter songs by multiple artists: -
